Hi There! I'm JT, a Long Island wedding photographer based in Setauket, where I was born and raised. Since 2012, I've photographed weddings, engagements, and families throughout Suffolk County at locations like vineyards, country clubs, golf courses, estates and backyards.
My approach is calm and unobtrusive. I'm not there to direct your day or check off a shot list. I'm there to blend in, read the room and document things as they actually happen like the quiet moments before the ceremony, the unscripted laughter, the details you put so much thought into. I offer guidance when it's genuinely helpful and step back when it's not, so your wedding feels like it belongs to you, not like it's being staged for social media.
Weddings are fast-moving and full of variables. Timelines shift, weather changes, plans evolve. More than a decade of experience means I stay steady and adaptable when they do, so you can stay present instead of managing the day.
I offer flexible coverage options from full day packages with a second photographer to solo coverage for more intimate celebrations. Oh me and hubby loved JT! He was our only photographer, and did us flawlessly. Great personality, very patient and sweet. The flow was seamless starting from taking photos with bride and bridesmaids, to the grooms and the rest of the groomsmen. Captured all family moments, and we did the photo dash during the reception so we had all photos with the guests. I was amazed he did all these by himself with my 120 guests. Kudos to him! I will definitely use him ❤️

Captured the day perfectly
JT is exactly what we wanted for our wedding photographer: he seamlessly blended into the party - becoming a part of it instead of interrupting it - and captured the full emotion of the day, mostly through candid shots. His photos were beautiful without being staged, so we can really remember what we felt in that moment. Perfectly edited. We did take some posed family photos as well, and he is very flexible - if you want a dedicated time for group pictures, he will offer as much as you’d like. My mother in law and I are both former professional photographers, and we were both extremely impressed. I can’t recommend enough.

Couldn’t be happier!
JT was nothing short of amazing on our day, we had a 75 person wedding and he was just incredible the entire way - we also used JT for our engagement pictures and were so happy how they turned out - JT really made all of our special moments come to life and was an integral part of our day! He was on time, professional, and made everyone feel comfortable for photos!

The most beautiful photos!
To start - my husband and I planned our wedding in 6 months, and were hoping to find vendors that fit our style and preferences. As soon as we spoke with JT over the phone, we knew he was our guy! He has great energy and a true enthusiasm for weddings and all the love that goes with it. We met with him to do an engagement session beforehand and were so happy with the photos, and are even more stunned with how beautiful our wedding photos came out. We don’t look overly posed or stiff at all, and the energy of the day is captured beautifully. He has an incredible light, airy, journalistic style that is evident in each and every one of the photos. His pricing is so fair and with an unlimited time frame on the wedding day, we knew we struck gold. We’re so thankful for JT and his stunning capture of our wedding day!

Amazing & Real Photographer!
Review-Long over due* Had the pleasure of finding JT on this website. We casually met and right away had a great vibe from him. We chatted and picked his brain on some ideas since he is the expert. We were happy to pick him and move forward. He did our Engagement Pictures and it was so much fun! We were so comfortable with him and he made it so easy. So we know working with him on the actual date would be a breeze. When we got the Engagement Pictures they were so good, of course we used them on the invitations. JT is very professional and so good to work with. Not your typical "wedding factory" photographer. So much more! On our special date he was punctual and ready to capture everything! He got some amazing pictures. He was able to capture a lot of non-script photos. Some that I had no idea was possible. It rained on our day....you would never know from the pictures. So I would highly suggest JT Santini to anyone looking for a personal experience. We will definitely continue to work with him in the future!

Beautiful journalistic photos!
When I was going through photographers, all the ones with the style I wanted were extremely expensive. All the other photographers in my budget had very outdated photography styles and had corny photos. JT is the only photographer I found that worked with my budget and had outstanding photos! My fiancé and I immediately booked him and we had beautiful engagement photos done. We recently received some wedding highlight photos and I couldn't imagine better wedding pictures! JT was with us from the beginning of preparation (around 12pm) till the end of our night (around 10pm). He was great to work with and my husband can't stop looking at the photos!

We were very resistant to taking engagement photos, well I was. I felt it was going to be awkward and was doing it to appease my fiancée. That’s where J.T. really shined. From the moment we discussed the photo shoot with him, he was totally professional and locked in. He began researching our destination for best lighting options, asking us questions about time, and catering to every request we had. Despite a complicated location where there were hundreds of people, our photos look like we were alone at the site. There is a dedication to craft here that is rarely seen. JT was corteous and professional throughout the entire shoot, not pushing us to go any further than we wanted to but making sure to get exactly what we were looking for. He scouted the areas and was patient in every scenario, making sure to minimize background distractions and used our time so well. He gave great direction, was prompt with everything, and made us feel at ease through the entire process. Our pictures were back to us quickly and they came out better than we could have expected. You will not regret using him as your photographer for any occasion.
