Ithaca Farmers Market is a wedding venue in Ithaca, New York. The market is a well-known icon in the Finger Lakes area. The pavilion at the Ithaca Farmers Market is a wooden structure with high ceilings and string lights.
Facilities and Capacity
There are 88 unique booths to set up your bar, DJ, food, cake and more. The pavilion is an open-air structure and can accommodate up to 300 guests. You can take advantage of the outdoor ceremony spot on the edge of Cayuga Lake and then move to the covered area for your sit-down dinner and dancing.
The rustic pavilion is a blank slate to decorate with your own color scheme and wedding style. They provide three indoor bathrooms, one of which is ADA accessible, and also have a restroom trailer for larger events. You must book one of their "preferred caterers," but all other vendors are the couple's choice. They also suggest involving vendors that sell at the actual market to make your event feel even more "Ithaca." There is an events coordinator on staff to help guide you through the planning process. The market can host your engagement party, bridal shower, rehearsal dinner, elopement, ceremony and reception.
Ithaca Farmers Market is a vendor-run cooperative with about 150 different businesses, started in 1973. You can find fruits, vegetables, meats, eggs, dairy products, prepared foods and artisanal gifts. The market was built by volunteers to turn the former debris site into a thriving community gathering area. All items sold at the market must be grown or made within a 30-mile radius of the pavilion.

Magical Wedding Venue
The booking and planning process was super easy, and Laura was wonderful to work with. Really laid back, while being both informative and responsive.Sent on 09/25/2019
The wedding itself was more beautiful than I imagined. The venue comes with string lights that are more than enough for nightfall. The space is ample. And even though our wedding day was a cool 67ish degrees, we had enough cover to keep people warm and happy. Most of all, the venue is truly unique! The booths, the lights, the dock, the lake, and the picnic benches around the property are picture perfect and gave guests space to mill around and explore. There were even ducks that walked in during the wedding reception, which was so cute! We got rave reviews from our guests about how pretty and unique the venue was—and we even came back the next morning with our guests when the market was in full swing for breakfast, which was super fun and special to see how it had transformed from the night before.
We choose to keep decorations low-key since the space is so simple and beautiful as-is, but it is truly a venue that is a blank slate that you could transform into a multitude of visions with the right vendors. Since the space is a blank slate, I do think it was helpful that we worked with vendors who had facilitated weddings here before and could give us good recommendations for how to use/organize the space (all found through the Sweet Bough Wedding Collective).
It was truly a dream wedding venue for us. For the price, space, beauty, uniqueness, and personal/sentimental element (we LOVE coming to this market), we highly recommend!

Love this space
This space was very easy to adapt into the perfect wedding and reception venue. There are plenty of outlets, all the vendors in the area know where they would like to set up and where to stand. I just loved it.Sent on 08/27/2019

As a professional who works frequently with the market, it's one of my favorite venues, perfect for couples who want an outdoor venue but hate the idea of a tent! I love photographing market weddings so much, we chose the market as the venue for our own wedding!
