Tal went above and beyond! We planned our wedding across the country from our venue and it wouldn't have been as amazing without Tal's delicious menu, fun cocktails, and awesome dessert bar. She was incredibly responsive and helpful throughout the whole planning process. We were wowed by her attention to detail and commitment to making sure we were getting the wedding dinner of our dreams. Plus, the food was soooooooo good!!

We had the pleasure of working with Tal as our caterer for two nights during our wedding weekend, and truly can't recommend her enough. She went above and beyond to make sure not just that the food was fantastic, but also ensuring that everything went perfectly for our big day, including doing Facetime walk throughs with us when we couldn't come to the venue in person, phone calls to coordinate with our DJ, and mailing ties left behind at the venue to their owners. The food was incredible (especially her desserts!!) and we've been hearing non stop rave reviews from our guests. On top of all that, she is such a kind, warm, and thoughtful person, and made us feel more like we were family friends than someone we hired to work with. Thank you Tal!!

Tal was incredible to work with throughout our entire planning process. She went above and beyond the role of a typical caterer with expert advice on setup, timelines, decor, and every other little detail we had questions about! Our venue had a tight schedule for set up but Tal and her team made everything look incredible in a short amount of time. The food was amazing, filled with flavor, and we received compliments from our guests all night long! We were so lucky to work with Tal and thankful for the magical evening she created for us!

Tal was great to work with! She helped us craft a dessert menu that worked within our budget and incorporated my husband's favorite childhood sweets. We loved working with her for our wedding!

Tal is an angel and we adored working with her. She was so quick to answer any questions we had, even if that meant picking up the phone when we decided to call on a random Tuesday! Working with her was a breeze, but the food. Her freaking food!!! We are still getting comments about how delicious everything was, over a month later. Tal made sure to take care of my partner and I during the reception so we were able to eat, and we’ve heard so many couples say they missed their own food on their wedding day! She even packaged up to-to containers of everything for us to enjoy the next day. Tal helped us book our rentals too, so we had one less vendor to coordinate. I’m already trying to come up with ways to work with her again in the future. Thank you again, Tal!!

I knew minutes into our first conversation that I had found an unbelievably perfect match in Tal. Tal has equal parts professionalism and passion for both food and providing a memorable experience for all those involved.
My guests are still raving and many have said that it stood out as the best food they’ve ever had at a wedding. Tal worked with me to ensure the menu and event would flow smoothly and on the day of I knew she would take care of everything and anything. Without her I wouldn’t have been able to so easily relax and enjoy the day.

Our Welcome Party, the night before our son’s wedding, was catered by BaLi Cravings. The food was delicious and the comment “best hummus I’ve ever had” was heard all night! Their Mediterranean food was a bit different than the usual Cocktail Party fare and was definitely well received. Especially Loved their pork sliders, and chicken skewers. And Tal Cohen is a total pleasure to work with. Highly recommended!

I put off writing this review because I wanted to make sure I had enough time to give Tal of Ba-Li Cravings all the credit and praise she deserves. She was, hands down, the best decision we made when it came to planning our wedding - apart from our location and the decision to get married, of course! Buckle up for this one.

As a 2023 bride, I knew finding vendors post-COVID was going to be competitive and expensive. My husband and I knew we wanted to get married in his hometown in upstate NY, and searched everywhere for local caterers - preferably a small business that could accommodate a variety of dietary needs. When we finally found Tal and Ba-Li Cravings, we loved her right away. Her whole focus is on variety, color, flavor, and just gorgeous-looking food. We love Mediterranean cuisine, and she was the first caterer we interviewed who was openly excited to accommodate our vegetarian diets. (There is no way I was settling for just eating lettuce on my wedding day. I like to eat well.) In addition, her expertise and professionalism shone through in our first call together, and we knew she was the one we wanted.

To be fully honest, budget was a concern. We knew we wanted quality food, and between inflation and the cost of food increasing, we had some challenges along the way keeping to our tight budget. (We also lived out of state, so planning long-distance was also a challenge as we had to fly in for our menu tasting.) By the wedding week, we were able to make it all come together financially and have absolutely no regrets about investing in Ba-Li Cravings. On the contrary, Tal was an absolute superhero and went above and beyond.

Things Tal did that we especially loved:
1) Checked in on us throughout the day, starting before the ceremony to see how we were doing and ask if we needed water or any snacks. This continued until the end of the night, and it made me feel valued and well-cared for.
2) Made sure we ate well! She had her staff serve us food at our sweetheart table, even though it was a buffet style meal, and they ensured our glasses were never empty. She also set aside plates of appetizers and desserts just for the two of us that we enjoyed the next morning. (This was one of my favorite parts of our wedding weekend.)
3) Oversaw all the clean-up. I did not expect this to fall under her job, but she was on top of everything and made sure things ran smoothly, even when our day-of coordinator disappeared and was (at times) nowhere to be found.

In summary: The pricing was more than fair for the quality and quantity of food we received, along with the professionalism and all the extra add-ons included in the cost per person. We and our guests were truly blown away. Tal is a warm person, an excellent chef, and my biggest regret in hiring her is that we don’t live close enough to hire her for all our future events!

Tal was an absolute pleasure to work with and is a supremely talented chef! For our wedding, my husband and I wanted to avoid the traditional steak / chicken / pasta menu and instead serve food that was varied and fresh but still enjoyable for picky eaters and plentiful for vegetarian or vegan guests. After visiting Tal for a tasting and sampling her delicious hors d'oeuvre, entrees, and desserts, we decided on a menu of almond encrusted salmon, beef kebabs, vegetable stew, cous cous, tabouleh, and fingerling potatoes - served family style. For dessert, we selected berry cheesecake cups, chocolate mousse, baklava, and an 8” carrot cake (for me and my husband to cut). Tal’s team also handled the bar - serving guests and supplying beer and two delicious homemade cocktails (we procured the wine from local Finger Lakes wineries).

Guests raved about the food and service - multiple requested Tal’s contact information for their family and friends’ upcoming weddings, complimented Tal’s staff, and praised the family style format which sparked conversation with table mates.

Finally, Tal made the planning process fun! Over the course of 20+ months of planning, we often lost sight of our own wishes for those of our loved ones. But, during our in-person meetings and Zoom calls, Tal reminded us that it was our day and we needed to enjoy (and stay sane planning) it!

We loved working with Tal. The food was delicious and there were plenty of options for different food restrictions for all our guests, and was doable with our budget. Also loved the variety offered. Tal was also super helpful with planning food and beyond. Everyone loved the Turkish coffee. Lastly, she learned how to make a Korean dessert for us specially. We recommend Ba-Li!
