We held our wedding at Iron Fish Distillery in August of 2021 and our expectations were exceeded in every way. Taylor made sure everything was addressed and she handled many things for our benefit behind the scenes and coordinated well with the caterer, the band, and family members. It makes a difference when people love what they do and Taylor and her staff's enjoyment of their jobs made for an even better time for our guests. Our bartenders were so fun and engaging. We could not be happier with our experience at Iron Fish Distillery and would recommend without hesitation.

We live downstate, but my parents live in Interlochen, so we visit Iron Fish almost every time we are up - great place to have a drink and enjoy the day/night. When my fiancée and I learned we could use the barn for our wedding venue, we were locked in from that very moment. The place is like nothing else - sure there are other barns, but they aren't part of Michigan's first farm distillery!

We had a non-traditional wedding, and everything was done at the distillery/barn. We had a cocktail hour that preceded the ceremony, followed by our ceremony at the on-site spot/altar with seating - very cool, with the reception immediately following in/out of the barn. We had ~120 people, with a tent outside that butted up against the barn, and there was plenty of room (allowed for social distancing). We had a Cordwood BBQ's food truck serving food all night, and Iron Fish was very accommodating with letting them park right outside of the barn. The bar was hopping all night, and everyone was loving the Iron Fish spirits exclusive bar!

When we were planning, we decided on three MUST HAVES: Amazing venue, top-notch bar/cocktails, and a dance floor that didn't stop moving - we checked all of those boxes, and Taylor at Iron Fish helped make sure that happened. I couldn't have imagined a smoother planning process with Taylor. She was very accommodating to all of our requests (within reason, but limitations were shared up front - no open flames/candles, etc.) and the entire night was better than either myself or my fiancée could have imagined. Cheers to Taylor and all of the Iron Fish staff! They helped make sure we had the spirits/cocktails we wanted (and plenty of them), the setup we needed, and Taylor personally worked with us on numerous in-person visits, as we wanted to keep seeing the barn/location for planning.

Iron Fish did an amazing job of helping us plan our wedding and hosting us the day of. Taylor made everything so easy! I was an indecisive bride and she helped me work out every detail and also took amazing care of us on the wedding day so that my husband and I could just enjoy our guests. My guests loved the venue and the drinks were creative and delicious. We had lots of kids so having games and space for them to play was key. On top of the amazing service the venue itself is gorgeous!

From the beautiful barn itself, to the amazing staff, this venue exceeded our expectations. The owners, wedding coordinator and every single other staff member were so accommodating and helpful. The ceremony site was perfect. The barn was gorgeous lit up at night. The beverages were tasty. The airbnb next door was perfect. Our guests raved about the location and set up. As an event coordinator myself, this was exactly what every bride wants when planning her wedding. We cannot thank the whole Iron Fish Distillery enough for providing such an amazing experience for us for our special day. THANK YOU!

We planned a dinner for 32 people at Iron Fish in August of 2021. First off, Taylor did an amazing job helping us coordinate and provide a fabulous event for our people, all while respecting Covid safety measures. We used the outdoor tent and brought in catered food. Richard provided an entertaining and informative tour of the farm and distillery, along with a fun tasting. The yard games and different seating areas gave lots of opportunity for activities. And not to be overlooked, the drinks were fantastic! It is a beautiful location and would make for a wonderful wedding reception!

We truly could not have had a better venue! We LOVED Iron Fish (as did our guests!) and most importantly Iron Fish really does have the most amazing staff. I had chosen the venue before my groom had seen it and when we went together for the first time a few months before the wedding, the owner and staff were all so excited to learn we were getting married at IFD. Then, working with Taylor was a breeze. We exchanged several emails to settle on the perfect cocktail menu and also had a phone call with her and my day-of coordinator to ensure everything ran smoothly. She was very helpful in securing a room for two of my guests who were new moms and needed space to pump. Taylor was around the entire evening and we felt so well taken care of. I highly, highly recommend getting married at IFD - you won't be disappointed!

We had our wedding at the Iron Fish in August. It was absolute perfection. With the flexibility and team work, the day could not have gone any smoother. We rented the farmhouse on property for the girls the night before and then my husband and I after the wedding. It was such a fairytale setting. Taylor and the team at Iron Fish accommodated everything I wanted for my day. I can not recommend this venue enough. I was worried about the fact that the tasting room was open right next door, but on the day of we didnt even remember it was there. The pictures turned out absolutely stunning! Thank you so much!

The team at Iron Fish is happy, caring and so willing to help find just the right caterer, bartender, flowers, etc. for your gathering. The barn is laid back minimalist but with a touch of elegance. Their setup allows for you to customize your setup completely. Their cocktails are delicious no matter which you select!

Iron Fish was an exceptional venue to hold our event. Everyone was very helpful and hospitable. Taylor in particular was a complete joy to work with. The venue itself is beautiful, clean and unique. Any one who decided to hold their wedding or special event in this location would not be disappointed!

We couldn't be more happier that we chose the iron fish to host our wedding. The location the beautiful grounds the barn the outdoor ceremony everything was perfect! We couldn't of asked for friendlier people to deal with ! Richard, Sarah, Heide & David (owners) were so accommodating and let us have the barn the day before our ceremony to decorate. We also were allowed to bring our own beer and wine and any spirits such as vodka gin rum needed to be purchased through iron fish. All of my family and friends said how much they loved the venue! They said it was absolutely beautiful as all of our 1200 photos vouch for ! Crystal Mountain was where all of us stayed which is a few miles down the road . Our Venue was in a perfect location close to Treverse city close to Crystal Mountain which has beautiful golf courses and of course close to Lake Michigan! Can't wait to go back again soon !
