Absolutely one of the best possible decisions we could have made in planning our wedding. We were on the fence about hiring a wedding planner and now that we’ve been through the process with this incredible team, we can’t imagine our wedding without them. They exceeded our expectations in every possible way and my fiancé (now husband) was constantly saying Meaghan was the most impressive person with whom he has ever worked (and I’d absolutely agree; we’ve both worked with a lot of great event staff professionally and Meaghan is easily the best). She is organized, professional, insightful, enthusiastic, everything you could possibly want in a wedding planner and she clearly has a great eye when it comes to finding team members because her staff was just as great. One of them even helped plan our “last date before we’re married” day with my fiancé as a surprise for me and it was legitimately one of the best days of my life. They were very helpful, friendly, as professional and great as Meaghan when we worked with them.

Meaghan did an amazing job of anticipating and knowing what we wanted stylistically before we did. With our encouragement, she sometimes pushed us on style options and it led to us to consider, and absolutely love, some different linens and other items that really elevated the look of our events.

If you’re thinking of working with Fox + Fern, I could not recommend it more highly and there are so many reasons why. I can’t imagine having had anybody else plan our wedding and will always be grateful to them for everything they did. I didn’t dare imagine having that beautiful of wedding and it went above and beyond everything I could have hoped to have. So many of our guests said it was the best wedding they had ever attended with the best food, etc. and a lot of that was a direct reflection of the extreme amount of hard work of Fox + Fern.

Meaghan was simply, The. Best. We don't say this lightly and we are both harsh critics and are much more likely to dish out scathing critical online reviews than gushing positive ones.

We worked with Meaghan for over 2 years to craft our wedding - 3 events over 3 days in Northern Michigan. The wedding was unusually complex as we decided to build a platform on a remote beach in front of our vacation home and had to construct the venue, decor etc, all from scratch. The venue and place also brought with it lots of complex family dynamics and people traveling from all around the world with all sorts of questions and anxieties. Meaghan patiently handled it all with grace, skill and humor. I am a high maintenance client with ridiculous attention to detail and a desire to bring together all sorts of design, culinary and other elements together into high end events. Rather than feeling like a pain in the ass, Meaghan jumped in and felt like a partner in crime having fun with us - she elevated our vision, made us feel heard and worked tirelessly to make the impossible, possible.. all while working within our budget and myriad of other constraints. A fun anecdote on this note - I despise the color white. Our wedding did not have a blush of white in it, from the floor, to the table clothes to the signage. The only white thing at the wedding were men's shirts and the brides wedding dress. By the end of our second month working together, Meaghan was beating me to punch on eliminating white from the wedding color pallet, eliciting appreciation and laughs from all. After all, wedding is the choice color of weddings.


Something else we appreciated was the flexibility and creativity Meaghan was able to leverage out of vendors she works with, all of whom were top notch. I imagine this is because she treats them with respect, is reliable not only to her clients, but also to her partners, and has many happy customers, from both a B2B and B2C perspective. I cannot count how many people shared with me that our wedding was the most beautiful wedding they'd ever attended. While this was nice to hear and a testament to Meaghan helping us realize our vision in a stunning setting, most importantly, we had a blast at our own wedding and really had the space to soak up the beauty of it all, enjoying all the details, interactions and once-in-a-lifetime moments with all of our people and each other. Meaghan seems to genuinely lover her work (or is a pro at pretending she does) and, if I were to characterize her professional superpower, it would be expertly setting expectations (that, if met, any reasonable client would be thrilled with) and then going above and beyond to over-deliver on all metrics. Her services are worth every penny and she's a pro at pulling off the seemingly impossible, all from quiet unassuming Northern Michigan.

Meaghan at Fox and Fern events was a godsend. She worked with me every month leading up to the wedding keeping me on track of things I needed to do each month. When the big day finally arrived it was PERFECT. Better than we could have ever imagined. If there were any issues or slip ups on our wedding day, I had no idea about them--she handled everything behind the scenes and went above and beyond what was expected. As the event was wrapping up, she even went so far as to drop off all of our stuff from the wedding at my parents house including all of the gifts, a giant picture we used as our guest book and a tub of Moomers ice cream she put in my parents freezer so we could have it after the event. She dropped that stuff off and came back in like 20 minutes and we didn't even know she left to go do that. I found out the next day! She is truly amazing. All of the things she did behind the scenes to make our day perfect and that allowed my husband and I to enjoy the day without a care in the world, I am forever grateful. We hired the dream team of Meaghan (owner and lead planner), Kelsey and Kendal of Fox & Fern to be our day of wedding coordinators. Honestly, besides our venue, Fox & Fern was our other most impressive and favorite wedding vendor. Meaghan and her team are so amazing, professional and thoughtful. Their attention to detail and effort they put into making our wedding uniquely ours was truly amazing. After our very first phone call with Meaghan almost two years ago, we knew we were in good hands and that we had found a truly exceptional team to help us plan our wedding. Meaghan is very knowledgeable, experienced, and has developed great working relationships with all the other vendors in the area. We also greatly appreciated that Meaghan is the queen of organization! She sent us 5 Google Docs to help us organize all our wedding planning info: 1) vendor contact sheet, 2) vendor payment and gratuity sheet, 3) names of the bridal party and immediate family sheet, 4) details/decor sheet and, 5) a timeline sheet. We had two Zoom meetings with Meaghan before our wedding to go over the Google Doc planning sheets together, make sure we had everything we needed and answer any questions we had. Meaghan also helped us design the seating chart for our ceremony site and reception tent. Even though there were many times this year that we thought we would not be able to have our wedding during this COVID pandemic, Meaghan helped us stay optimistic, never gave up on our wedding and was willing to work with us every step of the way. We are so thankful to her for helping us make it happen!

Once Meaghan and her team had all our wedding planning info, they took over from there and we didn't have to worry or think about a thing and just enjoy our day! Meaghan ran our entire rehearsal the night before the wedding. This helped so much! Everyone in the bridal party knew what they had to do so that the ceremony ran smoothly. The day of our wedding, Meaghan and her team went above and beyond for us. They picked up ice for the kegs, balloons for the reception tent and breakfast for the bridal party in Traverse City before arriving at the venue by 9am. Meaghan and her team did all the set up and tear down of our wedding decor. They were great at staying in the background but also making sure we stuck to our timeline the entire day.

The investment we made in hiring Fox & Fern as our day of wedding coordinator was so worth it! Thanks to Meaghan, Kendal and Kelsey, we got to relax and enjoy every moment of our special day with our friends and family without having to worry about anything else. Fox & Fern took care of everything we needed and more and we couldn't have imagined planning our wedding without them!

Meaghan and the Fox & Fern team are the BEST. Hands down, it was the best decision we made to hire Meaghan as our wedding planner. We were supposed to get married in June, had to postpone to September and then cancel our large wedding a re-plan a much smaller one due to COVID. Meaghan was there every step of the way and helped us keep the vision for our day, even though it wasn't what we originally planned. Everything turned out beautifully and it matched exactly what I pictured in my head for flowers, decorations, etc. Meaghan was incredibly helpful during the planning process and also for the wedding weekend. We didn't have to worry about anything for set-up, clean-up, rehearsal, etc and Meaghan kept us so organized in prepping for our weekend. The Fox & Fern team is quick to respond, incredibly organized and most importantly, they are all just really kind people. We loved working with them and can't recommend them enough!

Working with Meaghan was a true pleasure! Throughout our wedding planning experience, she made the entire process very streamlined and as stress free as could be hoped for. We actually planned our wedding while traveling abroad, but it totally manageable with her and her team. Meaghan provided recommendations for incredible vendors, all of which we were extremely pleased with and that greatly reduced our time spent sorting through countless options in the area. We found after an initial few phone calls that she quickly zeroed in on our style and desires and provided options for us to choose from to align with this design vision. She was incredibly responsive, always getting back to our emails or phone calls within 24 hours, if not minutes. We planned an entire weekend of celebrations, and Meaghan and her team executed our plans so that we could enjoy and be in the moment – we never felt we had to do anything or worry about anything other than celebrating. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Meaghan and her team and Fox and Fern. I had a blueprint of a dream for my wedding and she turned into an even more magical reality than I could have imagined. I felt like the queen of my very own fairytale. I worked with her from across the country for a year and a half to plan it, and she was always available to discuss questions or concerns that I had and was always delightful to talk with. She even had a baby a couple months before the wedding and still remained on top of everything! I could not have been happier with my entire experience with Fox and Fern.

There are not enough stars to give these ladies of Fox + Fern. I had the opportunity to work with both Meaghan and Kelsey over the last year. I was skeptical at first to go with a wedding planner, but when I first spoke with Meaghan, I felt like she would be able to help me so much with the wedding process. I did not know how I was going to be able to plan and also work full time. They were incredibly organized and had some awesome ideas. You can buy any book or read anything online to help you plan, but these ladies do so much more. I could go on and on about all of the great things they did, but skipping ahead to the wedding day, Kelsey executed the day flawlessly. There were no hiccups and I had the most relaxed morning with my family and bridal party. Anyone who is even thinking of hiring a wedding coordinator/planner, just give Fox + Fern a call and you will not be disappointed in any way. I'm having some serious "post wedding blues" due to missing friends and family and because I won't be working with these ladies anymore. I feel like I gained a couple of new friends and this is what you can expect during your planning process. Thank you is not enough to tell Kelsey and Meaghan how thankful and grateful I am for them. Having numerous friends get married before me, and watching wedding happens with and without a wedding planner, I knew it was something I definitely wanted to invest in. My parents, however, were not sold on the idea, and thought we would do everything ourselves. I knew that once the day came, I would want to relax and enjoy all the hard work I had put in over the last 10 months. Needless to say, we hired fox + fern as our day of planner, and I cannot say enough good things about them. I spoke to several wedding planners before choosing one, and when I spoke to Meaghan on the phone, it didn't take long for me to decide I was going to trust fox + fern to make my day perfect. Meaghan is super personable, professional, and was willing to give me vendor suggestions and answer any questions I had from day one. Two months out, I had a phone call with Meaghan, Kendal, and Katy to discuss every detail and the timeline. They were so organized, and had suggestions for any areas where I was unsure. From there, Kendal took over as my lead planner, and I could have not been happier with her. We had another phone call 2 weeks out, and she took over all my vendor contacts the week of, including attending out final walkthrough at the venue the day prior to our wedding. My Dad is in the event planning business, so he had a team from his company working on our wedding as well. Kendal worked flawlessly with them and the coordinators at our venue to make our wedding the fairytale I always dreamed of! On the day of, Katy joined her, and the two of them together were an amazing team! Katy did so many little things that took stress off of me... picked up our food for the trolley, went to where the guys were getting ready, pinned their bouts on and made sure their pocket squares were tucked in properly, set up the church decor- just to name a few. When my husband and I did our first look of the ballroom, I cried. It was everything I imagined and more, and it was thanks to Kendal and Katy. At the end of a very long day, they took our cards and gifts back to my parents, picked up our luggage and took it to our hotel, and laid rose petals out in our room... just a few examples of how they went above and beyond. fox + fern truly is invested in making your wedding day the best day of your life. After my wedding, I found out that my wedding was Kendal's first lead wedding, and I never would have known the difference- you would have thought she'd being doing this for years! She and Katy were the most amazing team, and I am so happy we chose fox + fern. After our wedding, my parents (the same ones who weren't sure getting a planner would be worth it) were raving about them! The investment you make with fox + fern will be 110% worth it- I promise!

Katy at Fox and Fern was amazing! She made it as painless as possible to plan a wedding. I loved her energy and excited nature around helping us plan our dream wedding! Everything turned out more beautiful than I had imagined it could be (especially after needing to move the reception to our backup indoor venue). She was always on top of everything and dealt with my forgetfulness with grace. Day of the wedding, she even found a way to get batteries for our fairy lights that we didn't realize didn't include batteries. She was just amazing and I cannot say enough about her!
