Our daughter's wedding at Crystal Mountain Resort was nothing short of magical. From the breathtaking natural scenery of Northern Michigan to the impeccable service, every detail exceeded our expectations. The resort offers stunning indoor and outdoor spaces, making it easy to create the exact atmosphere we dreamed of.

The staff (Linda Kiander, Sales Mngr & Kaylyn Masterson, Catering Mngr & team) went above and beyond—professional, attentive, and genuinely invested in making our day flawless. Guests raved about the delicious catering, comfortable accommodations, and the variety of activities available on-site. Whether it was golfing, spa treatments, or simply enjoying the mountain views, everyone found something to love.

What truly sets Crystal Mountain apart is the combination of elegance and warmth. It felt like a destination wedding without the hassle of traveling far. The setting provided gorgeous backdrops for photos, and the team ensured everything ran seamlessly from start to finish.

Our wedding was perfect in every way! The Crystal Mountain staff were friendly, professional, organized, helpful and went above and beyond to make our day exceptional! Guests raved over the venue, lodging, chairlift ride and so much more. Our rehearsal dinner/ welcome party was the perfect way to hang out with friends and family staying on site the day before. There are lots of gorgeous photo locations all over the campus with stunning landscaping all summer long. I would not change a thing about this venue, pure perfection!!

We got married at Crystal Mountain this fall, and it was truly the perfect wedding weekend. From the moment we booked the venue to the very last song of the night, every single staff member we worked with was amazing. Our day-of coordinator was fantastic, organized, calm, and so attentive to our timeline. The bartenders, servers, and dinner staff all did a wonderful job, and the service during dinner was excellent. The food was absolutely delicious! One of the best parts was how convenient everything was for our guests. Almost everyone stayed right on the property, either in the cottages or the hotel, and everything was within walking distance to the venue. It created such a fun, intimate weekend vibe and made it feel like a full getaway for everyone. The property itself is gorgeous, especially in the fall. The peak colors were stunning and made the whole day feel magical. We also loved the spa (the massages and outdoor hot tub were amazing!) and the golf courses were a huge hit with our group. Crystal Mountain made our entire wedding weekend feel so special. We highly recommend getting married here, especially in the fall!

Crystal Mountain was the perfect venue for us! we loved the uniqueness of the ski lift. The staff was friendly, professional and easy to work with! The additional lighting outside the reception tent added a great vibe. It was everything we dreamt of and more! It was affordable for the wedding and amenities provided

Crystal Mountain was a dream wedding location. We wanted a place where all of our friends and family could gather for the weekend and spend time together and this was the perfect venue. On Thursday we started off the wedding festivities with a tube float down the Platte River via Riverside Canoes, this was only 25 minutes from the resort. Friday morning I enjoyed the beautiful Crystal Mountain spa with a complimentary wedding massage, it was amazing! We had a wonderful rehearsal dinner and welcome party at Barr Park. Saturday was a gorgeous ceremony at the Mountain Top Deck, the views were stunning. We rode the chairlift down to our cocktail hour and enjoyed the reception in the evening. On Sunday we wrapped up the perfect weekend with a beautiful brunch.

The staff at Crystal Mountain was incredible. The communication and attention to detail was extremely refined. Our guests could not stop talking about how nice everyone was at Crystal Mountain and how delicious the food was. The food selection was outstanding, along with my Cold brew Espresso Martini signature drink!

From the beginning stages working with Linda Kiander to finalizing all of the small details with Erin Gilbert, I can't thank the Crystal Mountain team enough for all of their handwork. All of my requests and additional details came to life and it's all thanks to the beautiful venue and the Crystal Mountain team.

We always knew we would get married at Crystal Mountain even before we were engaged because it is our favorite place in the world! It has been a second home to my family my whole life and no other place could be as special. Even if you have never been there before, I highly recommend it. It is such a fun place to have all your friends and family gather. There are so many wonderful types of accommodations including hotel rooms, condos and houses. There are so many fun things to do on the property for everyone as well. Because it's such a fun place to be we asked everyone to stay Wednesday through Sunday, not just for our wedding.

Linda was amazing during the first step, giving us a tour and explaining our different options. We decided to get married at the mountain top and it was kind of her to drive us to the top to see it. We had our welcome party the night before our wedding at Barr park and Linda made booking both places an easy experience.

Erin Gilbert was our Conference Service manager and she was a star! She helped me with so much of our planning and I knew I was in great hands. She ran our rehearsal so smoothly and made my wedding day absolutely perfect with the rest of the Crystal Mountain staff.

The people who work at Crystal Mountain are the nicest people I've ever met. The landscaping there is gorgeous. You feel like you are in a fantasy world when you are there, like it can't be real because everything is just so happy and perfect.

Our guests were so WOW'ed by our wedding - especially the ceremony because everyone took the chair life to the top. Some people took a shuttle van that was offered to guests who were afraid which was really nice to have that accommodation. The reception was under the tent and we had the surrounding outdoor space as well. There was so much room for games and the kids could run around and it was perfect for people like us who like to have fun. The night before at Barr park was also wonderful and it was meant to be casual because we only served pizza and open bar but Crystal Mountain made it an elevated experience. The food at the welcome party and at my wedding was DELICIOUS! We served steak and white fish and everyone raved about their meal. We had the ice cream sundae bar which was a hit too.

If you want to get married somewhere where the employees show that they care about you and make everyone feel welcomed - this is the place! Everyone told me it was the best wedding they've ever been to and I don't think they were trying to be nice. It was truly a magical experience and I highly recommend getting married at Crystal Mountain!

We would have our wedding at Crystal Mountain a million times over! We had our ceremony at the Art Park and our reception on the rooftop bar.

Wedding team is professional, responds promptly, and is experienced in the wedding industry.
LGBTQ affirming, staff was amazing for our 2 bride wedding
Lower cost for venues than others in the area
Everything is onsite (hotels, transportation, etc)
Multiple options for the venue and both our ceremony location and reception location were exactly what we wanted

Cons:
Hotel is pricey for guests
Rain plan is ugly (but we didn't need ot use it thankfully)

My husband and I made the best decision and decided upon Crystal Mountain for our wedding ceremony and reception. We received so many compliments on everything! The food was incredible (the duck wontons changed our lives), the service provided by the wait staff was amazing! We chose the mountain top with the ski lift ride up to the top. The view was amazing, I look at the pictures weekly and still dream about our wedding day. It really was magical. Our guests said it was one of the most unique ceremony experiences, our friends and family are still talking about it :) Erin was our coordinator, and she was so helpful! Not only did she help ensure everything ran smoothly the day of, but she was communicative during the whole process and responded promptly to any questions that we had. From someone who does not like to host or plan, Erin's calming demeanor was very much appreciated on our wedding day with an anxious bride. If you are looking into venues, I would highly recommend Crystal Moutain. My favorite part of the weekend was having our friends and family rent condos or stay in one of the beautiful lodges. Everyone enjoyed themselves, kids went to the pool, and the adults enjoyed themselves. We REALLY enjoyed the weekend with everyone that we love the most!
