Homewood, a special event center in Asheville, North Carolina, is an ideal destination for weddings and receptions, rehearsal dinners, parties, reunions, meetings, conferences, and events of all kinds. Homewood is a beautifully restored 1920's stone manor located in Asheville's post-Victorian historic district of Montford.
The elegant castle features original hardwood floors, cherry walls, 20 foot ceilings, grand Appalachian stone fireplaces and alabaster sconces. Originally built as a private home, the elegance of the 1920's is translated with luxurious wrought iron chandeliers casting graceful lighting.
Conveniently located less than one mile north of downtown Asheville, Homewood offers plenty of free, designated parking and beautiful grounds in a neighborhood setting, Homewood is an excellent location for gatherings large or small.
The Great Room seats just over 100 people for dinner, or up to 150 with cocktail seating, with space for a dance floor and band or DJ. Homewood has been refined with modern amenities such as a handicap-accessible restroom and elevator. The grounds surrounding Homewood provide additional outdoor space, including our garden ceremony site and stone patio area for cocktail hour.
For business events, Homewood offers a variety of seating options and can accommodate up to 150 people theater-style in the Great Room.

The most amazing wedding venue!
Homewood was an elegant and intimate venue for our wedding- it felt like a dream! The ceremony and reception space looked amazing with the candle package and the outside facade and grounds were a beautiful backdrop for pictures. The location is great, we had a trolley drive us and our guests from Homewood to downtown for drinks after the reception and it was so much fun! The cost was very reasonable for the services provided, we were very happy with our wedding experience and received many compliments from guests on the space. Thank you Homewood for being the perfect wedding venue for our special day!Sent on 08/12/2019

When I started planning our wedding in Asheville from TX, I was quickly overwhelmed at the options and pricing of venues in the area. I came across Homewood on a random blog and as soon as I saw it and got a quote, I knew it was the one! I was looking for an intimate venue that would hold 80-90 guests at a reasonable price, plus have a ceremony and reception site. Homewood is a one-of-a-kind venue with great vendor teams (Nikki/Carolina Love Events & Asheville Bev) that made wedding planning smooth and easy. I could not have imagined a better venue or planning process. The wedding went on without a hitch and I couldn't recommend this venue enough!Sent on 03/28/2019

Thankful for the day of coordinator and staff, this place is gorgeous and very comfortable!
Completely worth it!
Homewood is beautiful venue that makes for magical photos. Nikki is great to work with. She provided a detailed schedule ahead of time so that I could formulate my photography plan for the bride and groom. I’m always excited to be able to make the couple’s experience even better, and I can do that with vendors like Homewood!
I absolutely love officiating ceremonies at The Homewood. The history and beauty of this venue shine through. The staff is professional and always on target to see that everything goes smoothly. Susan Marlan, Interfaith Officiant Beloved Ceremony
As photographers, we love Homewood. The staff is always on top of everything. The venue is beautiful and offers great photo options all within COMFORTABLE walking distance. Don't be persuaded when other places say that you have many photo opportunities within walking distance (in Asheville). You could be dealing with parking NIGHTMARES along with some incredibly steep inclines. With Homewood you don't have to worry about any of that and you have the added bonus of history. If you haven't read up on the history of Homewood, please do. If you're not into sentimental things, the beauty itself should grab you. The owners love Homewood and are magnificent and maintain it as it should be and the coordinators on site run it well.
