Homewood, a special event center in Asheville, North Carolina, is an ideal destination for weddings and receptions, rehearsal dinners, parties, reunions, meetings, conferences, and events of all kinds. Homewood is a beautifully restored 1920's stone manor located in Asheville's post-Victorian historic district of Montford.
The elegant castle features original hardwood floors, cherry walls, 20 foot ceilings, grand Appalachian stone fireplaces and alabaster sconces. Originally built as a private home, the elegance of the 1920's is translated with luxurious wrought iron chandeliers casting graceful lighting.
Conveniently located less than one mile north of downtown Asheville, Homewood offers plenty of free, designated parking and beautiful grounds in a neighborhood setting, Homewood is an excellent location for gatherings large or small.
The Great Room seats just over 100 people for dinner, or up to 150 with cocktail seating, with space for a dance floor and band or DJ. Homewood has been refined with modern amenities such as a handicap-accessible restroom and elevator. The grounds surrounding Homewood provide additional outdoor space, including our garden ceremony site and stone patio area for cocktail hour.
For business events, Homewood offers a variety of seating options and can accommodate up to 150 people theater-style in the Great Room.

Perfect from start to finish
Homewood was outstanding! The venue was great to work with, and perfect for our wedding. The organization of the venue and its vendors made our wedding seamless despite hurricane Florence making it interesting.

The perfect setting for our MidSummer nights dream wedding. A majestic space that still feels like home.
I was connected mostly with Julie throughout the planning phase. She is absolutely lovely, and quick in response to emails and questions.
Our guests loved the castle like quality of this venue and we really played it up! We had our ceremony in the garden - which was looking so lush and beautiful in June. The new outdoor patio was a hit with our guests, it was occupied nearly the whole evening. The reception was in the great room, which we designed to feel like a royal feast. Our guest count was 92 and the space felt full, but remained movable for guests and vendors.
We are over the moon with our experience at Homewood and could not have imagined a better place to have had our dream wedding!

The best! Us and our guests had a perfect experience.
Amazing! They worked with us to meet all of our special requests, wrangled all the vendors so well that we had zero issues whatsoever, and in general brought their A-game. I would 1,000,000,000,000% recommend them to anyone - it's hard to find a venue that's a) historic, b) has indoor and outdoor space, and c) not exorbitantly expensive, but Homewood easily covers it all.

Homewood is beautiful venue that makes for magical photos. Nikki is great to work with. She provided a detailed schedule ahead of time so that I could formulate my photography plan for the bride and groom. I’m always excited to be able to make the couple’s experience even better, and I can do that with vendors like Homewood!
I absolutely love officiating ceremonies at The Homewood. The history and beauty of this venue shine through. The staff is professional and always on target to see that everything goes smoothly. Susan Marlan, Interfaith Officiant Beloved Ceremony
As photographers, we love Homewood. The staff is always on top of everything. The venue is beautiful and offers great photo options all within COMFORTABLE walking distance. Don't be persuaded when other places say that you have many photo opportunities within walking distance (in Asheville). You could be dealing with parking NIGHTMARES along with some incredibly steep inclines. With Homewood you don't have to worry about any of that and you have the added bonus of history. If you haven't read up on the history of Homewood, please do. If you're not into sentimental things, the beauty itself should grab you. The owners love Homewood and are magnificent and maintain it as it should be and the coordinators on site run it well.
