Such a great day

We loved the outdoor indoor options for the wedding ceremony to be down on the grounds, and the reception in the hall.

Everyone was so nice and helpful, it was a solid space and the vendors were very comfortable setting up and we had plenty of room for all of our guests.

Beautiful location and great value for your money!

This venue allows you to create a dream wedding without breaking the bank. You have to have an open mind and a creative vision to turn the hall in to something amazing. Using reliable vendors like Black Book Hawaii and having a very organized coordinator (Sweet Memories) is a must. Book this place early because it fills up quick and communication can be difficult with the venue coordinators sometimes but they have to deal with so many clients so it’s understandable. Best event venue on the island!

He'eia State Park is a beautiful and well-maintained park with a rustic banquet hall located on the Windward side of Oahu. With the Ko'olau, the fishpond, Kaneohe Bay and the gardens filled with native plants, there are breathtaking views everywhere you look. I feel so lucky to have been able to hold my wedding here.

If you're looking for an affordable venue that can accommodate about 150-200 guests, I highly recommend He'eia. It's the best! Plus, Tina and her team are super friendly and helpful.

Site Visit

I had the privilege of working with Tina who was very flexible with setting up 2 site visits. She is passionate about her position and the company she is working for. She shared her knowledge about ceremony and reception ideas.
As for the state park it has been renovated with upgrades in the prep kitchen, it has a wonderful rustic interior, and the view of Kaneohe Bay is gorgeous.

The wedding location of your dreams that you can actually afford

Tina the He'eia State Park Events Manager was so helpful. She goes out of her way to ensure your wedding day is perfect. Basically it's like having a wedding planner come with the venue. The venue is stunning and Tina is the cherry on the cake. You won't be disappointed with this stunning location!

Tina was awesome!

We were married on July 14 and I am so glad we chose He'eia State Park for our venue! The surroundings are breathtaking and the history is incredible. It was an absolutely beautiful day. Tina was spectacular! From the day I booked, almost a year in advance, to the day of (and even beyond) she has been very professional and willing to help in any way; answering all questions and interacting with me and others involved in the wedding planning with professionalism. Tina broke her foot and was out for a while and while she was gone I visited the park and was ignored on one occasion by a young worker. When Tina returned to work I met with her and it was so blatantly obvious that she truly loves what she does (and she's good at it) and that comes through in the way she interacts with the couple/their helpers. Seriously, Tina is the reason why getting at He'eia is an excellent decision because she is so invested in what she does! Thank you for helping make our special day so special!

Ms Tina Scotty was amazing

My husband and I recently were married at the He’eia State Park Banquet Hall in Kaneohe, HI. The venue was spectacular. The views were breathtaking. I loved being Able to create the wedding of our dreams. I was able to have outside vendors come in which made it great since we got married in Hawaii and we currently reside in Las Vegas Nevada. Miss Tina Scotty was great to work with she answered all my emails she was always very responsive and since we had a destination wedding it was much easier to communicate with her, our needs and our questions and she was able to help point us in the right direction so when we got there we had no stress for our wedding. Everything went smoothly. I love being able to decorate how we had envisioned our wedding day to be like for our family and friends

Get married here for a WOW factor!

We absolutely fell in love with the venue when we went to look around. And then on our wedding day it was even more beautiful than we could've imagined. The hula mound sits along the water, surrounded by palm trees and you cannot ask for a better setting. We rented the cottage and main hall which worked out because the groomsmen showered and got ready there. Everyone at the venue was incredibly easy to work with in answering our questions, making sure things were taken care of, and helping us pick vendors. We had a lot of out of town guests and they could not believe a place like this exists.

Beautiful views in a relaxed atmosphere

Great place for any occasion. Our wedding was beautiful, rustic, fun. Tina, the manager, was super helpful. She also has a storeroom full of wedding and table décor. So before you hire someone to rent anything, be sure to go to the park and check out what she has. We used votive holders, bar tables, metal lanterns, an easel with glass to write your names/date. They have tons of tables and chairs. The chairs are plastic, not fancy. They have a stage that can be reconfigured. There aren't a lot of outlets for plugging in lights. They have 2 huge fans to cool the room, but the ocean breeze may be enough. We loved this venue!

Amazing views and cheaper than hotels!

Some might not like having to set up your own venue, but I’m a control freak so I loved it. They have a lot of tables and chairs, and a large kitchen with freezer, refrigerator, and food warmer for your use. They provide the trash liners and even a ladder you can use to set up. The best part is that you do not have to clean up and put away the tables and chairs as long as you pay for the cleaning package (which is totally worth it). You can also rent some other equipment they have (projector, screen, arches, etc.). The only thing is that you have to expect that it is still a State Park that hosts tours during the day and has a gift shop. So there may be people coming to the venue that you didn’t invite. There is no way to prevent that. There are pros and cons to this venue, so it just depends on what you want.
We're all about trust. Our community relies on honest reviews to help you make those big decisions with ease.
