I did a lot of research on wedding photographers, and there’s just something special about the way they capture emotion and spirit in unexpected, beautiful ways. We’re in love with our photos, and by the end of the night it felt like we had two new friends.

We were initially drawn to Hayes and Baker photography because of their gorgeous film photos and documentary style of capturing weddings and other events, but over the course of our working with them, we’ve also grown to know Andy and Hannah as wonderful people, and as friends. We did an engagement shoot with them first, months before the wedding, and they immediately made us at ease around them, making the photos all the more beautiful and authentic. They were a joy to have around for the entirety of our wedding day as well, and were able to make the hour + of family photos before the ceremony as fun and painless as possible. An important story that has nothing to do with photography and everything to do with Andy & Hannah: I got a stain down the front of my wedding dress, very, very visible, about an hour before the ceremony during photos. Hannah immediately sprung into action, grabbing shout wipes and dabbing extremely delicately and diligently. Meanwhile Andy kept cool and did shots I didn't have to be in, keeping us on track. When Hannah was done, you could not see the stain at all. While I am grateful for the stain removal, I am even more grateful for her calmness and action-oriented spirit, which kept me grounded in what could have been a major freakout moment.

When we recently saw the preview photos of the wedding, words failed us. The photos are so perfect and breathtaking and are such a beautiful encapsulation of our celebration. Neither of us have stopped thinking about or looking at them since we received them. The photos have both made us very excited to see everything else they captured, and at the same time, if these were the only photos we had from our wedding, we’d be thrilled. Andy and Hannah were both such a joy to work with for the wedding, and I think that shows in the photos and moments that they captured! We truly cannot recommend them enough.

Choosing Andy and Hannah was one of the best decisions we made when planning our wedding. We hired them for both our engagement shoot, rehearsal dinner, and wedding day. They were very responsive, communicative, and organized, making coordinating a breeze. We were nervous about the engagement shoot, thinking it may be awkward, but Andy was so fun and made the whole experience such an enjoyable one. When it came to our wedding weekend, they exceeded all expectations. They're truly amazing at being able to blend in with the crowd and get the candid shots, while also corralling friends and family with ease for the necessary portraits. So many of our guests even commented on how well they flowed with the weekend and seemed to blend in, while also being at just the right place at the right time. Their photography skills themselves should also speak for themselves. We are so beyond happy with how the photos came out -- Andy and Hannah truly captured the day beautifully. We can't speak more highly of them professionally and personally.
