I did a lot of research on wedding photographers, and there’s just something special about the way they capture emotion and spirit in unexpected, beautiful ways. We’re in love with our photos, and by the end of the night it felt like we had two new friends.

We were initially drawn to Hayes and Baker photography because of their gorgeous film photos and documentary style of capturing weddings and other events, but over the course of our working with them, we’ve also grown to know Andy and Hannah as wonderful people, and as friends. We did an engagement shoot with them first, months before the wedding, and they immediately made us at ease around them, making the photos all the more beautiful and authentic. They were a joy to have around for the entirety of our wedding day as well, and were able to make the hour + of family photos before the ceremony as fun and painless as possible. An important story that has nothing to do with photography and everything to do with Andy & Hannah: I got a stain down the front of my wedding dress, very, very visible, about an hour before the ceremony during photos. Hannah immediately sprung into action, grabbing shout wipes and dabbing extremely delicately and diligently. Meanwhile Andy kept cool and did shots I didn't have to be in, keeping us on track. When Hannah was done, you could not see the stain at all. While I am grateful for the stain removal, I am even more grateful for her calmness and action-oriented spirit, which kept me grounded in what could have been a major freakout moment.

When we recently saw the preview photos of the wedding, words failed us. The photos are so perfect and breathtaking and are such a beautiful encapsulation of our celebration. Neither of us have stopped thinking about or looking at them since we received them. The photos have both made us very excited to see everything else they captured, and at the same time, if these were the only photos we had from our wedding, we’d be thrilled. Andy and Hannah were both such a joy to work with for the wedding, and I think that shows in the photos and moments that they captured! We truly cannot recommend them enough.

Choosing Andy and Hannah was one of the best decisions we made when planning our wedding. We hired them for both our engagement shoot, rehearsal dinner, and wedding day. They were very responsive, communicative, and organized, making coordinating a breeze. We were nervous about the engagement shoot, thinking it may be awkward, but Andy was so fun and made the whole experience such an enjoyable one. When it came to our wedding weekend, they exceeded all expectations. They're truly amazing at being able to blend in with the crowd and get the candid shots, while also corralling friends and family with ease for the necessary portraits. So many of our guests even commented on how well they flowed with the weekend and seemed to blend in, while also being at just the right place at the right time. Their photography skills themselves should also speak for themselves. We are so beyond happy with how the photos came out -- Andy and Hannah truly captured the day beautifully. We can't speak more highly of them professionally and personally.

hannah and andy are truly the absolute best. husband typically hates photos and felt super comfortable all day-- andy kept checking in to make sure that we were not overwhelmed, while hannah floated around snapping these incredible shots that i still can't believe we get to see whenever we want. not to say andy doesn't float around, too-- they're both such incredible photographers that truly captured the beauty and joy of the day without making us feel like it was too much. they listened to us, and made sure that what we wanted was prioritized over what maybe our family members wanted. andy is so good with the small details too, like making sure the bros take their phones out of the front pockets. and hannah just finds the most incredible light and says "can i have you just.. right there.. juuuusttt there.. beautiful" and then it actually is beautiful. and i'm not one to typically love photos of myself, and i truthfully cannot stop looking at our previews. they are both kind, and warm, and incredible at what they do. best decision we made for our wedding, hands down.

Andy and Hannah were incredible at our recent wedding in Jamestown, RI.

We wanted essentially the opposite of what you see from wedding photos traditionally- over posed, over exposed, and over done. From our first call with Andy, we knew they would bring something different to the table.

Within 6 days of our ceremony, we had 100 preview photos to look through. Let me tell you, if we don't get a single additional photo, we would be happy. They are stunning. The thoughtfulness of every single composition was incredible. We look like ourselves, and our emotions are shining through authentically.

My husband and I are not people who are terribly comfortable taking pictures, but Andy and Hannah made us incredibly comfortable and at ease. But so many of our favorite photos are observational moments that they captured without creating a staged moment. And that is exactly what we wanted.

Aside from the artistic value and overall style they bring to the table, they also come together. And two shooters means twice the amount of coverage, meaning someone getting a wide shot, and someone getting a tighter one. Bonus, the ability to be two places at once while getting ready.

And, most importantly, twice the keen eyes of true artists finding the just right frame to elevate a wedding photo into a true memory frozen in time. Best decision we made.

We hired Hayes & Baker to photograph our engagement shoot and our wedding day. We had an absolutely fantastic experience with them. They are extremely professional, organized, talented, and overall wonderful human beings. It was important for us to catch the spirit of each occasion. It was such a joy to work with Hannah and Andy, we cannot imagine how our wedding would have been without them! We worked with them through a COVID postponement, had many easy and joyful conversations with them prior to our big day, and then were just so grateful to have them there on the wedding day. They helped us stay calm, guided us when we needed a little direction on the dreaded posed family photos, and really captured the happiness we felt that day. Our photos are artistic, interesting and beautiful. We cannot imagine not having had them there!

Andy and Hannah are great communicators and provided all the necessary information up front so we knew what to expect on our wedding day. They were very professional, arriving early to scope out the venue and find areas outside for photos. They split up so that each of them could shoot us individually while getting ready with our friends - this made for some awesome shots! Their style and ability are exceptional and they were super fun to be around. Cannot recommend enough!

Hiring Andy and Hannah was the best decision we made for our wedding. From the beginning, they were a joy to work with. They gave us some great vendor referrals and helped us solidify our timeline. On the day of, they were absolute lifesavers. We had a few hiccups pre-ceremony, and they stepped right up and helped make sure everything was ready to go. They also provided some much needed emotional support at times! Our photos are a dream. We wanted photos that were a true reflection of the people and the emotions of that day, and these are exactly that. We will treasure them as a beautiful reminder of our day forever.
