This may be a little vain, but I still look at pictures of my wedding and say “wow, my hair looks fantastic!” And Tinika is 100% the reason for it. As someone who prides themselves on their natural hair and their curly hair journey, it was important for me to have a stylist who understands my hair and did their best to elevate it. Tinika was knowledgeable and playful about trying out new things that she thought I’d like.She also did a great job with my wedding party, including my MIL who is in a wig because of her cancer. I’m so so thankful for everything she did for us and will recommend her at every given opportunity.

Tinika is hands down the best wedding hair stylist in the business. The day before my wedding she took the time to dye my hair, she even came earlier on my wedding to freshly blow out my hair and add my extensions. Unfortunately, the hair extensions I purchased online were wrongly advertised so the color of both sets initially did not match. But Tinika somehow blended both colored extensions in such a way that you could not even notice!!! I was blown away and throughout the entire process she assured me that she would take care of their mistake. And that she did. Her assistant was also a great help as this allowed Tinika to really take her time with me because she wanted my hair to be perfect on my special day and I appreciated that so much.

Tinika is also such a vibe! Every time we connected whether it was in person, via email or text, it was always such a pleasure and a fun time interacting with her.

Tinika was super responsive from the first email all the way until it was time to walk down the aisle. Her energy is unmatched. I never like my hair when it’s initially done, but this wasn’t the case with her. It looked beautiful and she took her time to get it right. This made me confident that on my special day, my hair would look great.
She is a true professional, attentive, efficient, a great hype woman when you need the extra boost, and super talented. She was definitely one of the main reasons why my wedding day went well. This wasn’t just hair…it was an experience.

Miracle worker, magician, or sent by God.....however you want to describe Tinika, just know that she is all that and then some. I was quite unsure how I wanted my hair styled for my wedding but Tinika took the time to work with me; all through my emails, texts and bridal trials. Once I finally made a decision on how I wanted to look, Tinika delivered on so many levels. My hair was absolutely beautiful, and bulletproof, for my wedding. I can't thank her enough! She provided such quality and personable service, the kind of service you can't find anymore no matter how hard you look. She also created lovely up-do hairstyles for my bridal party and even styled my future mother-in-law's wig; and she didn't even go beyond her scheduled time. Who does that? Tinika Sadiku, that's who. She has a forever client in me as I'm newly natural and clueless on how to care for my hair, that's how much I trust her and how much of an impression she made on me and on my life. I can't thank Tinika enough!!

Working with Tinika was wonderful! She did my hair for my engagement shoot and my wedding ceremony. Tinika took me on as a client very last minute for my engagement shoot and put in my clip-ins and styled my hair to be out. She came with great energy, a good vibe and so much positivity as I was navigating a rescheduled engagement shoot and everything else going with planning a wedding and all the corresponding events in a pandemic. I liked working with her so much I asked her to style me for our wedding ceremony.

After working together once, in all her expertise, Tinika counseled me on what type of hair would be better for my extensions. Though she standardly offers a trial, living in DC but getting married in NJ and contribution the pandemic made it challenging to travel home. Tinika corresponded with me about about my bridal styling while I chose my style. When it came to the day of my ceremony, Tinika made my hair look exactly how I wanted and appreciated the beauty and relevance of my mother's headpiece and placed it perfectly.

I hope we get the opportunity to work together again when I have events in the TriState area and I'll be referring whoever I can to her.

I literally cannot say enough how much I loved Tinika. She immediately made me feel comfortable and was extremely easy to talk to. She was willing to try a few different styles in my trial until I found something I loved. She worked so well with my numerous hair product allergies—just using products I was comfortable with. I had a bad experience at a previous trial where I broke out in hives so Tinika went above and beyond to make me feel at ease.

3 days before my wedding I completely changed my mind on my hair style. I told Tinika the day of the wedding what I wanted and she said “I got you” and did just what I wanted and more. My hair was one of my favorite parts of my wedding day. I felt so beautiful, in large part thanks to Tinika.

I just want to add that its so important to have happy, positive, nice people around you on your wedding day. And a large portion of the day is around hair/makeup. Tinika made everyone feel happy and at ease and I can never thank her enough!!

Tinika is absolutely amazing!!! She took inspiration from the “looks” I brought with me to my trial, and then took it up several notches... created a look beyond my dreams for my wedding day. I’m truly in awe of her talent. And not only did my hair style look AMAZING, it also held up all day and night... through dancing, hugs, etc. I cannot tell you how many people complimented me on it. I am biracial, with very curly but not course hair... and I’ve been to many hair stylists who don’t understand how to work with my hair. Tinika is a total pro. And she is a calming energy and presence on a day filled with much excitement and nerves! She even pitched in to help steam my gown with my bridesmaids! Just a lovely, talented lady. Was grateful to have her on my team for the big day. (I also hired her for my engagement photoshoot, and she created another amazing look for that too!)

Tinika really worked with me and my five bridesmaids to give us exactly what we wanted. One bridesmaid in particular was kinda unsure about her look and Tinika kept trying different styles until she was happy. She was also super accommodating when I emailed her literally the day before and asked if she would be able to add my flower girl to the schedule.

On the morning of the wedding she arrived promptly, and was so much fun to hang out with. We all chatted and had a good time, and in the end, everybody's hair looked gorgeous! Can't recommend her enough!

Tinika and her assistant did an amazing job on my wedding party's hair. We had a truly multicultural wedding party - Ethiopian, Vietnamese, African-American, Caucasian, and more! Tinika and her assistant seamlessly went from bridesmaid to bridesmaid and executed their desired looks perfectly. Everyone felt so confident with how they looked as we headed into the church ceremony. I was also really impressed by how easily Tinika was able to go with the flow - a few bridesmaids were late, which backed up the makeup process, and I also suddenly decided that I wanted the flower girls to have their hair done as well. Tinika adjusted her schedule accordingly to meet my expectations, without any sign of complaint. She was also really fun to be around - one of the best parts of my wedding day was hanging out with her, my makeup artist, and the bridesmaids as we listened to music and chatted about everything under the sun. She is very sweet and talented, and best of all, my very picky mother loved her hair and mine. I am so thankful that I found Tinika and would HIGHLY encourage other NYC brides to book her!

Tinika was amazing! She was very responsive leading up to the wedding and flexible the day of the wedding day time chanhes. For the wedding day, I got my hair installed by someone else, which I didn’t really like. Tinika worked hard to fix it to make it the way I inisioned my hair plus she did an amazing job on the style that we aligned on. I got so many compliments and I would definitely recommend her!
