We're Josh and Kate — a husband-and-wife wedding photography team based in Snohomish, Washington. We've been doing this together for over 15 years, we've photographed 650+ weddings, and we're still the couple that gets a little teary during first looks. (That's mostly Kate. Josh is behind the other camera pretending he's fine.)

Here's the thing about wedding photography that nobody tells you: the photos you'll care about in 20 years aren't the ones where everyone was perfectly arranged with their hands in exactly the right spot. They're the ones where something real was happening. Your maid of honor whispering "you look incredible" while she fixes your veil. Your partner seeing you for the first time and completely short-circuiting. Your grandma on the dance floor doing something no one expected.

That's what photograph. It's what we've always focused on.

We call our approach documentary/story-frist — we're there in the middle of it, catching the moments as they happen, not yanking you away from your cocktail hour for a 45-minute photo session in a field somewhere. When we do portraits, they're efficient, relaxed, and look like you — not like you're auditioning for a stock photo.

Our editing philosophy is something we call Color Integrity. Your wedding photos should look like your wedding looked. Real skin tones. Accurate colors. No heavy-handed filters, no orange-everyone, no desaturated moodiness that'll look dated in three years. We edit for timelessness because your photos should hold up for decades, not just for the Instagram algorithm this month.

The experience and logistics stuff, since that matters too: 650+ weddings across over 100 venues in the greater Seattle and Snohomish County area. We know the venues — the good light spots, the backup plans when the PNW decides to PNW, the timelines that actually work versus the ones that look good on paper. We've been featured in HuffPost, Style Me Pretty, and PNW Weddings, we've earned WeddingWire Couples' Choice awards for 10+ consecutive years, and we're members of the Snohomish Wedding Guild. We publish our pricing right on our website because we think your time is worth more than a guessing game.

We're not for everyone, and we're genuinely okay with that. If you want heavy posing, trendy filters, and a photographer who disappears for an hour with your bridal party — there are great people who do that.
