Beautiful Woodland Venue
Beau Lodge is an oasis of beautiful gardens and meadows, with a pond, an orchard, and a building that's just perfect for a wedding. We were fortunate enough to have fair weather and so held our ceremony in a meadow across the pond and our reception at the building, but we would have been able to do the ceremony on the covered decks too. The lawn held tables for all 104 guests. The building has a bridal room where I got ready and a grooms room where my partner got dressed. There is a large kitchen and the venue also comes with tables and chairs.

We couldn't be happier about our decision to get married at Beau Lodge. We almost overlooked the venue due to their limited online presence, and are so glad we scheduled a tour anyway. Almost immediately after stepping onto the property I absolutely fell in love with the venue. The lodge itself is cozy and has several features that are missing in other places we visited, including an excellent prep kitchen, a ready room for both the bride and the groom (with mirrors!), and covered porches complete with sky lights which allowed us to have a rain plan without renting a tent. The grounds are quite large, with gardens, a pond, groves of trees, and a beautiful lawn. We were able to get such a diverse set of pictures, and had so many options to choose from when deciding where to hold each wedding day event. The grounds look absolutely beautiful. It is clear they are well cared for, but they also have a natural feel, as opposed to several other venues we visited which felt overly manicured and fake. We did end up needing to use our rain plan for the ceremony and the reception, although fortunately the rain let up enough for us to take pictures around the grounds. What could have been a disappointing turn ended up being a blessing in disguise. The lodge had such a cozy feel with the rainy weather, and the porch had plenty of space to accommodate all of our guests (~50 people).
We mostly worked with Stan to set up appointments to visit the lodge and make the arrangements. He was extremely nice, and answered all of our questions (even though we asked a ton). Unlike at other venues, we felt that Stan was very trustworthy, and genuinely cared about both the venue and the people who rent it. We highly recommend taking a look at Beau Lodge.

Beau lodge is a beautiful venue, it has so many different sites on the property, working with Stan and Mary was a pleasant experience. The only issue we had was getting into contact with them, on occasion it took a little long for them to respond.

Beautiful location for a garden wedding! The owner is a little hard to get a hold of at times and I was unable to have a ceremony rehearsal until the morning before the wedding.

The grounds were beautiful! It was perfect for us, and it was really nice to have a bride and grooms room in the building. They have a huge kitchen, and lots of fridge space. Beautifully set up for lots and lots of photos. Beautiful porches, nice pond, it really was our dream wedding. The only down side is there is not alot of room if it decides to rain. We had 100 people which was JUST big enough. We had tables on the inside and the out (for "reception", and we did rent a tent (incase of rain) to put on the lawn "for our "ceremony".

The most complements we got on our day were about how gorgeous our venue was. Beau Lodge couldn’t have been a more perfect place for us to get married. We stood in front of an apple tree for our ceremony, did our first look on a bridge over the pond, danced the night away under paper lanterns on the deck and were able to set up some tables inside for shade and the rest out on the lawn. I cried when I talked to my husband about marrying him there. I couldn’t imagine doing it anywhere else. Mary is the owner and I’ll be honest there were some frustrating

This is one of those venues you find because you went to someone else's wedding here who went to someone else's wedding and loved it. The groundskeeper keeps the place beautiful! Stan does a great job with all the gardening and upkeep. Mary, the owner, is a sweet woman but she isn't quick to get back with you and she's hard to reach sometimes. It's all forgivable. The place is a fantastic deal! You get the whole run of the grounds and the house for the whole day! It's easy for caterers to move around because the kitchen is big and there are lots of doors in and out. I hope to come back to this place.

Pros: Beau Lodge is a BEAUTIFUL venue, and provide ample ammenities for the wedding party, such as separate changing rooms for the bridal party and groomsmen and there are a number of bathrooms and fun little hide-away spaces throughout the lodge. It's in a bed and breakfast type of setting, with lots of room and a warm feeling overall. There is a kitchen available for use from your catering staff as well. The grounds are kept very tidy, while still providing a rustic and organic setting. It's a place I'd want to come back to any day of the year.
Cons: The owner of the lodge, Mary Elmore, is near to impossible to get a hold of. She has an operating system, and messages left for her typically get returned to you 3-5 days later or not returned to you at all. Be prepared to stalk.
Mary also patrols the wedding site (although out of site for the ceremony and start of reception), and can be a little obtrusive, even reminding us to turn down the music (3 times) at 9:15 when we had reserved the reception until 10:00, and then refusing to let my mom use some old garbage bags for our clean up, even after she offered to pay for them. The venue cost $3,000 and she wouldn't even sell us a $5 bag of garbage bags. My husband eventually worked his charm and she gave him the coveted trash bags. She was overall polite, but hassled my parents a bit even while they were working hard into the night to leave the venue cleaner than we found it.
Mary gave the wrong information to my planner regarding exactly how many tables she had available. We were forced to scramble and rent more the DAY OF, or else my guests wouldn't have had seating.
Mary neglected to tell my catering staff that the stove was a burner short and the oven didn't work properly. Basically, Beau Lodge is a wonderful venue, perfect for photo ops and great for both seamless ceremonies and reception, IF you're prepared. I'd recommend it to anyone, and would absolutely recommend the Lodge.
