Mountain View Gardens Farm & Venue is a working farm and wedding venue in Ferndale, Washington, with beautiful views of Mt. Baker and the Cascades. The property has flower gardens, open fields, a historic barn, a chapel, and two getting-ready suites.

Hi, we’re Sabrina and Carlos! We’re Whatcom County locals and the owners of the property formerly known as Barnstar. Couples have been getting married here for years, and we feel lucky to keep that tradition going. We run the venue ourselves, so we’ll be the ones giving your tour, answering your questions, and helping you prepare for your big day. You have four ceremony spots to choose from. Our favorite is the Mountain View Garden, tucked behind the log house next to the flower garden, with the mountains as your backdrop. You’ll walk down the aisle right from the log house deck. You can also say your vows under our big walnut tree, in the chapel, or inside the barn in front of the twin silos.

The barn is 4,500 square feet with 45-foot ceilings, exposed beams, a stunning crystal chandelier, and a wood dance floor. It holds up to 250 guests for dinner and dancing. For getting ready, the log house has a wet bar, two bathrooms, plenty of room to spread out, and a deck that leads right out to the Mountain View Garden. The Mahogany Room has the feel of an old-school whiskey and cigar lounge, with Chesterfield couches, dark leather and wood, and a pool table. It’s a great spot to hang out and decompress before the ceremony.

Our base rental covers a lot. You’ll get tables, chairs, lace table covers, and ivory cloth napkins, and we’ll set everything up and take it down based on your floor plan. A luxury bathroom trailer, sound system, parking, lawn games, and garbage removal are included too. You’ll pick a weekday to drop off your decor and store it here, and we’ll walk through your rehearsal together on Thursday. Sabrina will be right there with you for both.

For overnight stays, our guest house in Laurel is a short drive away and perfect for you, your family, or your wedding party. Silver Reef is only two minutes away, and we run a shuttle back and forth so guests staying there don’t have to worry about driving. Some couples just want the venue, and that’s totally fine! If you’d like a little more help, we offer day-of coordination with Sabrina, bar service, florals, decor rentals, and a rehearsal dinner table on Thursday night. We also have a golf cart to bring guests up from parking, a classic car for photos, and early morning access for your vendors. For a little wow factor, ask us about our frozen floral spheres. We make them by freezing flowers into ice, giving blooms a second life so nothing goes to waste. They look gorgeous chilling drinks at the bar.

We book weddings on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, plus a weekday package for weddings and vow renewals under 100 guests. We’d love to show you around! Give us a call, and we’ll set up a tour at a time that works best for you.
