Experience
This photography studio was started by Gene and Lauren Gabelli 25 years ago. It is now owned by John Bacolo. John began his work with photography in high school, before traveling throughout North and South America to document the landscapes and cultures he encountered. He worked as Gene Gabelli’s assistant at Gabelli Studio beginning in 1998, and his work has been honored by the Professional Photographer’s of America Loan Collection.

We especially loved how they turned what can sometimes be a stressful part of the day—photos—into something genuinely enjoyable and fun. They made us feel incredibly comfortable in front of the camera and kept us, our families, and bridal parties laughing all day, which made a huge difference. John, Jim, and Josh are a joy to be around, they bring incredible energy and passion to their work, and it truly shows.
Having your photographers with you for the majority of your wedding day, it really is so important that they match your energy, put you at ease, and keep things running smoothly. The Gabelli team did all that and more, and our wedding wouldn’t have been the same without them. Spending the day with them was an absolute blast.
