Absolutely incredible!

Hands down the absolute best!! I first met John at my cousin’s wedding back in 2020, and I instantly loved his style and positive, fun energy. He ended up being the very first vendor I booked—just a month after getting engaged, I was VERY eager to book him! John, Jim, and Gabby have been so helpful, responsive, organized and overall just truly lovely people while going through the wedding planning process.

We had such incredible experiences with the Gabelli team, from our engagement shoot all the way through our wedding day. Everyone was professional, kind, and amazing to work with. I will be in a wedding this spring where John is the photographer, and I’m already looking forward to working with him again!

Feeling comfortable with your photographer is so important since they are with you for the entire day-- my husband and I felt exceptionally comfortable with John and his team! The Gabelli team was such an important part in making our day perfect. The quality of our photos and the creativity in each moment captured left us speechless. Gabelli Studios was absolutely amazing for our photography & videography for our wedding. From our engagement shoot, John made us feel so comfortable and welcoming and knew exactly what to do to capture the best shots. Best Wedding Decision!

Working with John and the Gabelli team for photography and videography was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding! During our first meeting, John made us feel so comfortable and truly got to know us as a couple - he made it an easy yes! We loved that we got to do an engagement shoot session prior to the wedding so we could get to know each other's style and way of working. During the planning leading up to the wedding, Gabby was so great and attentive to our questions and needs. She took the time to understand our vision and personalize the approach and timeline for the day of. Our experience with Gabelli Studio was absolutely exceptional, and we can't recommend them enough! John and Gabby listened to us throughout the planning process and customized their approach to fit our vision. Nothing felt forced; everything was so natural, and that’s evident in the AMAZING photos they captured during both our engagement shoot and wedding day. The photos came out more beautiful than we ever could have imagined.

We especially loved how they turned what can sometimes be a stressful part of the day—photos—into something genuinely enjoyable and fun. They made us feel incredibly comfortable in front of the camera and kept us, our families, and bridal parties laughing all day, which made a huge difference. There were many places I wanted to save when planning my wedding and the only thing I refused to change was my photographer. Gabelli Studios is the BEST in the business. John, Jim and Josh were AMAZING!! They helped set the tone for the whole day. The day turned out perfectly, John and team kept us on schedule. SO MUCH more than just photography

I cannot BEGIN to explain how amazing John and the team were! Working with the team from Gabelli studios was so much fun! Our bridal party could not believe how easy going and fun it was to take pictures. The guests had so much fun interacting with the team and cannot stop talking about it. They were all simply wonderful. Usually photographers and videographers fall to the background and are rarely noticed, but the team truly made our wedding so much fun by the way they interacted with the guests. They did not just capture beautiful memories but also helped to make them!

John is the BEST!

The moment I met with John, I knew we were going to use him for our wedding, we didn't even meet with any other photographers!! John is the BEST! He made my husband and I feel so comfortable in front of the camera. We haven't seen all of our wedding photos yet, but from the sneak peeks and engagement photos we did receive, I know they are going to be amazing!
We postponed our wedding 4 times, and every time we moved the date, Gabelli Studio’s made the process so easy! We were so lucky John was available on our 4th date, because to be honest, if he wasn't, we probably would've moved our wedding to a date he was available, that's how amazing he is!!
Leading up to the wedding, John and Gabby were both super responsive and answered all of my questions. The day of, John and his team (we booked both photo and video), made everything so easy and fun. They made sure to capture all our moments and knew exactly where to get the best shots. John is the best of the best there is, and I would HIGHLY recommend booking him ASAP.

The entire Gabelli team was fantastic. We knew we were in luck when we saw the beautiful engagement photos. On top of that, the other camera men were all a blast. Not only did they take great photos, they all made the wedding enjoyable for all involved.

Gabelli Studio has been amazing and effortless to work with from the day we booked them. Happy Bride :)

I remember when I was the future bride scrutinizing through reviews to pick our wedding photographer. I'll be honest, we didn't initially go with Gabelli because we were being frugal and convinced ourselves that photos weren't important.

A pandemic and 3 rescheduled wedding dates later, and we are SO incredibly relieved to have ditched our original photographer and go with Gabelli! If I'd had known how great my wedding day would flow because of John Bacolo & his team, we probably would have gone with a more expensive package!!!

Your wedding photos and videos are going to be the only things that you have to look back on. The wedding day flies by and you'll want those memories materialized and immortalized. I can't wait for our photos and videos to come back, but it's great having faith that you know they will be amazing, that you can relax on your day knowing they're capturing everything meaningful, and you'll have months and years of hard work & planning symbolized in photos to prove it! So seriously...stop stressing yourself out & do yourself a favor and go with Gabelli Studio!!!

P.S. Coordinating with Gabby leading up to the wedding day (7/25/21) was extremely helpful. Not only do you need a great photo & video team, but you need someone who will respond to your questions and call you back when you have concerns.

What can I say... John and his team made my entire wedding. John has been a close family friend for my entire life, so I knew the minute I got engaged that John was the only one I wanted to shoot my wedding. Just like many brides in 2020, we had an elaborate destination wedding planned, and we had to cancel a month before and move it back to New York... John and his team did everything they could to accommodate us every step of the way. Of course, we ended up having to move our wedding YET AGAIN, but this time it was to my family home on November 1st. Naturally, in true 2020 fashion, it poured on my wedding day in my parents yard. SOMEHOW John and his team still managed to get the most stunningly beautiful photos that day, you’d never know it was raining, they’re absolutely beautiful. Wedding Photographer Dream!

My friend used Gabelli Studio's for her wedding 2 years prior to me getting engaged. Once I got engaged, I knew their fabulous work and that I wanted to book their company. The Best!!

My husband and I shopped around for a photographer for our wedding and we met with John Bacolo at Gabelli Studios. John is so friendly and outgoing which made our decision so easy. I highly recommend Gabelli Studios. Having pictures taken can be awkward but John provides such a light, fun, and comfortable environment. During our engagement photo-shoot, John spent additional time with us, in spite of us running late due to traffic, to ensure he got great shots. Gabby Sebok is the BEST! She was ALWAYS available to answer all of my good (and bad) questions. She took the time to talk out ideas and timing of the wedding day which was really important to us as we opted out of doing first look. On our wedding day, the entire Gabelli team brought such a great energy. They arrived at the hotel to our chaotic room where we were getting ready and worked around the hair and makeup prep. The team is so much fun to work with- they are professional but not afraid to laugh and make the day a fun and memorable experience. Furthermore, our pictures were stunning! A true fairytale experience

Johns ability to photographer is truly a work of art especially when you book him for the Pleasantdale Chateau. Jim photographed our reception and he kept his eyes on us all night. When we walked Around the room taking selfies with our guests he was right there taking the photo with his camera. He literally would pop out of no where. My husband and I were so impressed! They say the best photographers are the ones that you don’t see and that couldn’t be more true about Gabelli. I cannot even tell

Amazing and wonderful!!!

We booked Gabelli Studio for our wedding at Pleasantdale Chateau earlier in June 2019. Gabelli was one of the preferred vendors and based on my research on their portfolio of work, I could definitely see why it was a preferred vendor! I loved the quality, content, and context of their photos. Gabelli does an amazing job in capturing the most important moments and elements of a wedding day, whether the moments are planned or sporadic. The photography capture the essence of human emotion in all its joy for the bride and groom and their guests.

After our first meeting with Christina, who was so sweet and informative, we knew we wanted to book with Gabelli. Gabby was also so sweet to work with and answered all my questions promptly. We met with John, the lead photographer, a couple weeks before the wedding to go through the day of details, itinerary and timing, etc. John was super accommodating to the schedule and activities we had in mind and provided some suggestions as well based on his expertise and experience.

On the day of the wedding, John, Jim, and Lou did an amazing job capturing all the big moments of the day and identifying amazing places to take pictures of us, our parents, and our bridal party. I'd like to specifically highlight how accommodating and flexible they were in meeting our requests. I asked for additional and specific photos to be taken in different areas of our venue and they accommodated every single request. It goes to show how much they care about their couples and capturing all the public and intimate moments of the special day.

Beyond their skills as photographers, John, Jim, and Lou are so personable and have a great sense of humor, which is always such a positive when it comes to weddings as the day can be stressful for couples. My husband and I had a lot of fun during the photoshoot with Gabelli and we can't wait to see our photos in the coming weeks!

We got married on Friday, June 29th at the Park Chateau and had the best night of our lives and so happy we have wonderful photos to help relive the entire day.

I first met John and Christina at a vendor show the Park Chateau hosted for their brides and grooms. I instantly felt comfortable and a good connection with the two of them. Flipping through some of their work just ensured that I didn't need to look any further for photographers. That week I called Christina and was able to book everything. Throughout the planning Christina was my go too girl. She was wonderful! I would email her my concerns/questions and appreciated her prompt responses.

On our wedding day we worked with John, Jim and Gabby. All wonderful and a BIG part of our special day that we will always remember. They were all on time, professional but mostly fun! We cannot thank the entire team enough for helping us plan, shoot and sweat on one of the hottest days, all to make our day special.

My wedding was 8/9/18 and we are in awe of how our day went. A lot of that we attribute to John & his team. From start to finish, John & Christina were prompt in responding to our questions/emails. We have gotten so many compliments in service since our wedding day and we haven't even seen the photos yet! From start to finish working with Gabelli team has been great. There are a lot of awkward photographers out there and we were not impressed by any, but as soon as we met with John our minds were put at ease. He did our engagement photos in Central Park and made us feel very comfortable. Photography is the most important aspect/detail of a wedding to invest in so I suggest that you don't cut corners with this one and go with Gabelli, you won't be disappointed!

Gabelli did the most amazing job photographing our wedding. They caught so many amazing moments without us even being aware and the quality of photos we got back are truly off the charts. They were a pleasure to work with throughout the entire process. Christina, in the office, is so helpful, kind and responsive. John and Dan photographed our wedding, they worked seamlessly with everyone and when our wedding was delayed due to rain, Dan stayed far later than he needed to and was able to get so many memorable shots toward the end of the night. I can't thank them enough!

We are extremely happy with Gabelli Studio- We dealt directly with John, Christina, and Jim. They were all amazing! John took beautiful engagement pictures for us, Christina was always there to answer our questions, and both John and Jim were amazing on our wedding day. I am very particular and wanted certain pictures, and they made sure to keep that in mind throughout the day. we can't wait to see all of our photos- the ones we previewed look beautiful.

It was an absolute pleasure to work with John and the rest of the crew at Gabelli. He was able to get to know us from the engagement shoot, which made the day of the wedding comfortable, fun, and easy. John took the time to learn all of the names of the bridal party so they felt comfortable with him as well. He remembered all of the must have pictures and through out the night made sure that we got them all. We wouldn't have chosen or trusted anyone else for our special day.

We could not be more thrilled to have chosen John Bacolo and Gabelli Studios for our photography and videography for our wedding on June 3rd 2017 at the Pleasantdale Chateau. From our first meeting, through our wedding day, we never had a doubt that we had chosen the best team in the business, and now, looking at our breathtaking photos we cannot even put into words how grateful we are to have chosen the Gabelli Studios team to document our wedding day. Christina, the studio manager, was so thorough and responsive to answer any and all questions we had, and made a timeline for us in advance of our day so that we knew exactly what to expect. Day of, John and the rest of the team made us feel so at ease and comfortable in front of the camera - we had so much fun taking photos, and STILL got to participate fully in our wedding day. We used Gabelli Studio for our wedding and cannot express how amazing the whole team was to work with. We are so grateful we chose them as they went above and beyond to work closely with our venue to make sure everything went perfectly. Christina always responded to emails and calls quickly, answering any questions or concerns in detail and organizing our schedule for the day. She made the whole process go so smoothly! The day of our wedding, John and Jim made sure the whole wedding party was relaxed and had fun while taking our pictures throughout the entire day. Everyone was personable and accommodating as our wedding party was quite large! Many of the bridesmaids and groomsmen have been in multiple weddings and couldn’t get over how easy the Gabelli team was to work with. Gabelli Studio was without a doubt the best part of our wedding! From the very beginning, they were responsive to all of our emails and phone calls. They worked closely with us and our venue to make sure our pictures went perfectly. John, Michael, and Tab were on time the day of the wedding and took over 1,700 pictures! They were creative and also took any suggestions we made. Our pictures look absolutely perfect and we have gotten so many compliments on them. They felt like more than a photography studio to us; they felt like our family! I am so happy that we chose them for our wedding!

The moment I stepped into the Gabelli studio, I knew that John and his team would be exactly what I was looking for.
I never considered myself to be photogenic until I had my engagement shots done with John. My soon to be husband and I were at such ease and had so much fun during our photo session. John made the whole process so much fun and was so creative with the way he had us pose in addition he was so great with understanding that we really wanted our shots to be done at the restaurant where we had our first date.

Christine, John’s assistant is one of the loveliest people that I have ever come across. She is always available for anything that I needed in addition to giving the best advise as she crafted our save the dates. I received countless calls and texts in regards to how beautiful our save the dates were and how talented the Gabelli team is.

On the day of my wedding , John and his assistant Jim made my wedding party so relaxed and we had nothing but fun during our pictures.

I truly believe that photos are the biggest part of a wedding and an investment since they last forever. Every bride wants a beautiful sunny day for their wedding and even if it rained on my wedding day, I knew that John would be able to capture us in the best light and capture who my husband and I are.

The Gabelli team made my dreams come true. I cannot wait to continue my relationship with them as I want the team to capture every milestone of our lives.

Where do I begin? Having to choose someone photograph the most important day of your life can challenging....but not after we met John and his team from Gabelli Studios! From the initial meeting, I knew my wedding photos and wedding day were in great hands! John and Jim both photographed our wedding and we could not be more pleased with their professionalism and being experts at their craft!!
For some, it might be a little awkward or uncomfortable to be photographed (especially the kissing part! Lol!) but John and Jim are so awesome to work with that it made it fun!!!!

Everyone in the office is also great! Christina is the best and made sure our day/night was organized and perfect!! I look forward to working with others when we get back our proofs and start to choose our album!!

Do yourself a favor and hire Gabelli Studios to photograph your wedding, party, whatever event you have! You will not be disappointed....it was the best decision we made!!

We used Gabelli Studio for photography and videography for our June 2015 wedding and it was the best decision we made while wedding planning! Working with Gabelli studios was such a pleasant experience. My husband and I are completely camera shy and were not excited about the prospect of wedding photography. We were both happily surprised at the amount of fun and humor Jimmy brought to both our engagement shoot and wedding photographs, not to mention truly beautiful photographs. No one at the studio ever tried to push and fancy extras on us and were completely respectful of our taste and preferences. At the wedding, the photography team did an excellent job of being discrete but totally attentive. Our guests loved the crew and how friendly and professional they were. From the moment we called Christina to make an appointment and walked into Gabelli Studio to meet with John we knew we wanted John to be the photographer on our wedding day. To the wonderfully talented Gabelli team:

First of all, thank you SO MUCH for recommending Cava Winery, in Hamburg, NJ. They were AMAZING and soooo accommodating. They literally let us take over. We were inside, at the bar taking pictures with their wine barrels (haha) walking through the vineyard... SO so so accommodating. And they were closed to the public, since it was a weekday. So we didn't even have to deal with customers getting in the way. I would STRONGLY recommend using them if you have another bride interested in a similar location.

Secondly, I don't think I can even find the words to describe how utterly blown away we were with Jim. To be honest, I was a bit nervous about the shoot; I am much more comfortable behind the scenes. =) Well, once we got started, I realized how easy Jim was going to make the entire day. It was actually so much fun. Justin and I can't stop talking about it and laughing about how much fun we had. I am so grateful for Jim's ability to build rapport with us so quickly to allow us to let loose and have fun, but at the same time, maintain the perfect level of professionalism. Also, we spent almost 2 hours taking photos, and I know that is not standard. We are aware of Jim's dedication to get as many shots as he could, it was obvious he was not focused on the time at all (which flew by... again, thanks to Jim!). I haven't even seen the pictures yet, but I am 10000% confident I made the right decision.

I CANNOT wait for the wedding day!!!! I know Jim is going to be a breath of fresh air on what can be a very hectic/chaotic day.

Like every Bride, their photographer is THE BEST EVER. Well, with Gabelli you can expect just that and more.

Scheduling an appointment was easy. I had a conflict come up and was unable to attend the initial appointment that would determine if we would sign the contract or not. My mom went to the appointment and met with John and Jim. My mom fell in love so we went with them. She scheduled our shoot with Jim. First the engagement shoot which we had to reschedule our shoot last minute and Jim was VERY accommodating.

So being a Bride and a perfectionist I was slightly nervous that I never met my photographer and he was about to shoot one of the biggest moments of my life. The pictures were breathtaking. Jim created a professional, fun, and memorable experience.

Christina at Gabelli helped put our save the dates together and we came up with an unforgettable magnet. The studio is gorgeous and Lisa is a creative genius. I am so grateful to have the opportunity to work with such an amazing team!!

The day of the wedding Jim arrived with his team. We also choose to have videography through Gabelli. I was running about 45 minutes late, which created some tension for everyone but the staff at Gabelli. They stayed so calm, cool, and happy throughout the whole thing. I REALLY appreciated that. The last thing you want when your already stressed on your wedding day is your vendors adding to it. They took the stress away. At the end of it all the entire Gabelli staff has become like family. Oh and their work?? PHENOMENAL and ONE OF A KIND! I loved them so much I plan to use them for any special occasion going forward :)

Hiring Gabelli Studio was the best decision we made for our wedding day. Aside from the fact that they are some of the nicest people that you will ever meet in your life, their photos are amazing (natural looking and not overly-posed or overly edited). They led us through the entire process (engagement photos, booking the videographers, etc) without a hiccup and on the day of the wedding, they went above and beyond to make sure everything was right. Even my friends and family complimented the team on not only their professionalism, but also their general attitude towards the whole day. They were the ones that kept our wedding day running smooth, even though we couldn't take pictures where we had planned due to the weather. Christina, the studio manager, is an absolute gem to work with and she'll always greet you with smile. I couldn't recommend a single vendor more than I would recommend them!

We used Gabelli photography for our daughters wedding as well as her shower. Words cannot describe how wonderful they are to work with. The entire staff is so professional and so easy to work with. I cannot even express how amazing Gabelli Studio has been. After interviewing photographers all over NJ and NYC, I was starting to think I would never find the perfect photographer, and then I found John at Gabelli Studio. I came in on a rainy, dreary day to their beautiful studio and was greeted by wonderful Christina who always has a huge smile on her face! She automatically made me feel at home, and then I met fantastic John! After talking with him and seeing how enthusiastic he is about his work, and admiring how beautiful his work is, I knew that I had to have him as my photographer! He did my engagement shoot, my bridal shower, and my wedding, and I plan on using him for everything else I have in my life. They are truly the best photographers and videographers out there. They are also the nicest and most professional people to work with. I also was so hesitant about having a videographer and did not decide until shortly before my wedding on April 11, 2015 to have one. Gabelli never pressured me to use Jim and his crew and I was so nervous there would be wires everywhere and cameras in my face, however, I did not even notice them! My husband and I are so thrilled with our decision to use Gabelli Studios for our wedding photography. The entire staff at Gabelli is so awesome to work with. They are genuinely excited about your wedding and capturing the moments of your special day. Photography was very important to us and I did a lot of research on various photographers and styles. When I found John from Gabelli I was done looking. I loved every picture he took. Nothing looked too posed. His photography is very natural looking and he captures the emotions the people in the photos are feeling. His pictures will be cherished by my family and I for many years. My husband and I got married on 3/27/15. John and Jim photographed our day. They were very professional and made taking pictures so easy and fun. I have only seen a few pictures so far. Our wedding was actually featured on NJ.com and the Star Ledger. John was so nice to submit photos to the newspaper very quickly for the article. I didn't realize that the photos that were used were actually untouched photos... they looked stunning!!! I could not believe it when Christina, (who works for Gabelli and is an absolute sweetheart and pleasure to work with), told me that the photos are untouched. I was so thrilled with the untouched photos I just cannot wait to see the final product with retouched photos! I can't imagine the pictures getting anymore beautiful. John also did an engagement shoot with us with turned out amazing. We had a really fun day going to Liberty State Park and getting some awesome pictures in front of the NYC skyline! While it may seem cliche, I wholeheartedly feel that hiring a photographer you trust and admire is one of the most important things you can do as you plan your own wedding. I had the pleasure of meeting John Bacolo of Gabelli Studio while working as an event coordinator during a June 2012 wedding. Aside from being charming and professional, I saw first-hand how organized and extremely talented he was. Luckily, we stayed in touch ... so when I became engaged in May 2013, Gabelli Studio was immediately my first choice for photography.

Although a splurge for us, hiring this team has been worth every penny already. You can't put a price tag on NOT worrying whether or not your photographer will show up on time, get the right shots or achieve the "look" you want. As a type-A personality and event designer by trade, it was amazing to NOT have a worry in the world that day when it came to photography. When John showed up that morning, I felt a sense of calm and trusted him to capture the day. To date, I have only seen ONE sneak peek of our wedding day via Instagram and SEVERAL guests have told me they wish they had hired Gabelli for their weddings just based on that one photo. I can hardly wait to see an entire day's worth of pictures when we return to the studio to work on our album!

I love these guys, especially Christina who is equally awesome to work with, and consider it a blessing that they had my date available so we could collaborate on my own wedding vs. client work. I would encourage every couple to discover Gabelli and their range of talents when shopping for photography & video. Make an appointment, visit the studio and see what they're all about. You'll be blown away by their portfolio - past and present - and fall in love wth their dynamic and work ethic. I'm so thankful they captured our day and can't wait to work together again in the future.

There is nothing more to say about Gabelli Studio than they are just simply amazing in every way possible. My husband and I used them for our wedding this passed August, when I was first introduced to them by their photos while booking our venue, I knew this was going to be my photographer period. So we set an apt with them and we met them, John and his staff are like no other, from the minute we walked in we were apart of their family from day 1. He was right. More importantly he and Jim guided us (hand signals and all :) )throughout the whole day and captured this very special moment in our lives. Gabelli in our eyes is pure perfection.
Furthermore, we cannot even begin to express the countless compliments we received about your studio and the thoughtful love you guys expressed and provided us while photographing our wedding. Everyone was impressed.
With that said, we believe Gabelli studios has a profound love for people, photography and detail. You are truly one of a kind. Jim photographed my big day and was the absolute best! he captured great shots that I never would have thought to get on my own. He made sure every detail was right and was patient with when I needed certain pictures taken. Not to mention he was a blast to work with! he kept me calm and smiling the entire day by telling jokes and making me laugh. It was truly a great day thanks to Jim and the Gabelli crew! I used Gabelli Studio for my photography & video. I knew I was going to use them before I even set up an appointment to meet with them. I had seen their work on facebook & at bridal showcases. ABSOLUTELY BREATH TAKING! I was so excited to make an appointment to book them. Once I met with John, it was a done deal! Everyone at Gabelli was extremely helpful during the entire process. Especially Christina! And god bless my photographers and videographer for putting up with my circus act of a bridal party (24 people!) but they did it with a smile on their faces all day! Planning a wedding is a lot of work but luckily for me I had the best vendors and never had to worry about a thing! I am so excited to continue to work with Gabelli when it is time to make my album! Jay and I chose Gabelli Studios for our photography and videography for our wedding this past Saturday December 21, 2013. I can not say enough great things about their services. John was amazing as were the other photographers and videographers that we had. I was very against having a videographer at first because I hate when they are in your face and bothering everyone at the wedding. Gabelli studios captured all of the best moments at our wedding and we barely even knew they were there! Everyone raved about how calm and organized the photographers were. Amazing, unforgettable, professional, fun, charismatic, creativity, happiness, awesome! These are just some of the words to explain my experience with John and his crew at Gabelli.

We were introduced to Gabelli early on in our engagement and once we saw their work we were hooked.

Gabelli is the only photographer/videographer that we met with. There was no reason to continue looking. When we met with John, I knew he was the one that would make my wedding day perfect and he did !!

John and his crew are fun and so creative. We were able to see some of the pictures the day of our wedding and some of the shots they took actually moved me to tears (in a good way!). Having them all there with me from the start of the day to end of the day was awesome. We had fun, we laughed and most of all they made it memorable.

Gabelli has a state of the art studio in NJ and is very inviting when you walk in. He has such creativity and vision for your special day.

At the end of the day all you have is your pictures and your video. I would encourage every bride and groom out there to trust Gabelli with those memories. I certainly did and will continue to use them for continued milestones in the future.

We booked Gabelli Studio for our wedding which took place 9/6/2013 at Liberty House in Jersey City. We admit this was a splurge item, but the photos are worth the money (and remember they can only be taken once!) Our package included an e...ngagement session and the photos were stunning. The reason you should book this studio is for the quality of their work, professionalism, and great personalities that keep the photos from becoming boring. My wedding guests are still talking about how cool Jim was!! We will be repeat customers and look forward to Jim capturing our life moments for as long as he will let us! My husband and I would just like to say that Gabelli Studio is amazing! We just saw a preview of our wedding photos from June and are beyond pleased and can't wait to see more! When starting the wedding planning process, a photographer was very high on our priority list knowing that those photos would be the memories that we would have to remember our wedding day. Gabelli was a perfect choice! Everyone at Gabelli Studios has been a pleasure to work with and we feel that they went above and beyond to make us happy in every aspect of our engagement and wedding photos. I had met with many photographers prior to picking one for our wedding, and as soon as I saw Gabelli's work, I knew they would help make my day even more perfect. If you would like professional and talented videographers to capture every detail of your wedding day... look no further than Gabelli Studios! I was so happy to have Michael and his team to capture every detail of our wedding day. We were able to view our SAME DAY EDIT at our reception and we were blown away! Our guests that couldn't make it to the church were able to watch it all on the big screen at the reception. We cannot wait to see our full length wedding video. :-)

My husband and I are continually impressed (amazed, even) by Gabelli Studios. John and Jim both photographed our wedding. They were calm, professional, and positive, even when my family was a little challenging to gather for photos. Having such professional people around me that day made me so calm and allowed me to enjoy the party, confident that they would take care of it. We planned the wedding at a distance and didn't really have a lot of contact with them before the wedding, but they were so clearly on top of things that it didn't concern me at all. Our photographs turned out amazing- we got a great mix of traditional family shots and beautiful, creative photos of us and our guests and venues. We are still working on our albums but Gabelli's customer service has made the whole process very easy. Everyone we've communicated with at the studio has been amazing. They've gone so far as to ship us our "Thank You" notes because we're out of state and no one was available to pick them up. We stretched our photography budget to get Gabelli, because it was important to me to have those memories preserved, and it was completely worth it (and more!). Looking through our photos is like reliving the day over again. Jim and John captured the absolute best memories of our wedding in the most beautiful way possible. I have already recommended Gabelli to every engaged couple in NJ I know, and will continue to recommend them.

I am the youngest of three girls and both of my sisters also had Gabelli as the photographer/videographer at their weddings. Each time, they blew us away with their professionalism and stunning work. At my wedding (just last month), John posted a slideshow of some of the pictures and everyone (including me) was amazed at how beautiful everything looked. I also did an engagement photo shoot with John, which also came out excellent (still getting complements on some of those photos). I would highly recommend Gabelli to others. They are the BEST!!!

From the beginning of our engagement, Gabelli Studios had been suggested to me from a fellow bride. My husband and I then scheduled and fell in love with the staff and pictures we saw right away. Our engagement session was done at Giants Stadium and of course John came to our rescue as my car broke down on the highway and thank god he had not passed us yet and came and picked us up. Our pictures then were so amazing we couldnt wait for the wedding. We ran into John at 2 weddings and it was like we were family. We couldnt wait for it to be our turn! We had two photographers and 2 videographers and they were all amazing! Everyone showed up on time, and were extremely professional yet extremely fun to work with all day. They took every shot we wanted and catered to our every need! Gabelli went above and beyond and we, as well as all of our friends and family cannot wait to see the video and pictures from the big day! John took beautiful engagement pictures for us in Montclair. John was so wonderful and helpful to work with during our wedding as well. He helped us to organize the entire day and took amazing pictures. John and Jim were around when we needed them and "out of sight" throughout the evening so we could enjoy everything. Melissa did an unbelievable job on the makeup for me & my girls on my wedding day! She put just the right amount of foundation on, that it stayed in place all night without getting cakey or creasing. I had some breakouts on my forehead that I messed with the day before (big no no) but she managed to cover them like they were never there! Eyes & the rest of the makeup was gorgeous as well. She will really listen to your needs & find out what you like at your trial and the day of. She is super sweet & did an awesome job. With her for my wedding was Andrea that did our hair....also fabulous. She made me look like I had a head of hair that I've never seen before! She made all the girls look gorgeous & I felt our whole bridal party followed a really elegant look without looking over done or too "bridey" if you know what I mean. Strongly recommend these ladies.

oh my god!!! What can i say about htem. My engagement pictures and then the wedding photos were amazing and we looked like celebrities. They were great! I love john, lisa, peter, all of them. THeir lighting, ideas, candid photos, posed photos, all, they captured eveything. Even the moments i didnt notice that day. Worth every penny and you get your photos quick. I love them. I wish they photographed me doing everything because then it would look more glamorous. Great people and alot of fun. Great personalities and were not in people's way or demanding at all. I highly recommend Gabelli Studios- their photographs are amazing!!! The studio was great to work with during the planning process and Lisa was great too. John and Jim were amazing to work with on the wedding day- they were sooo easygoing & made sure we got all of the shots we wanted. You don't even notice them during the party, they just snap away while you enjoy the night. Their work is top-notch & truly artistic- these are not your standard photographers. Gabelli Studio is a phenomenal choice for wedding photography and videography. They use a great combination of photojournalism and traditional, candid and posed when taking pictures and shooting video! From the second we walked into the studio, these guys were amazing! We fell in love with the group of them because they were so great to work with and creative. Jim and Dan were amazing at always being there to catch shots, but they were never in the way or obtrusive about it. They caught the funny moments that happened even as we were posed for shots! Peter and Teddy were truly incredible as well for video. Peter is extremely creative and loves adding different layers to the wedding video. He actually filmed us ahead of time doing things we loved to do so he could incorporate that into the video and he interviewed us about our relationship and things so we could narrate part of the video. Peter also was with us from the start of the day at the hair salon and right on through. We cannot say enough great things about this Studio and the people that work there. We will definitely be using them again in the future for all our photo needs!!!!

I could not be happier with the way my wedding pictures turned out. John has an exceptional eye for photography. They were all very professional and extremely caring the day of my wedding. They were not pushy and my guests didn't even know they were at the wedding. None of the pictures look "staged". I also worked with Lisa on designing my album and collage print and she is great. She has amazing ideas and is very creative.

Although we spent more money than we had originally budgeted for, we were very pleased with the outcome! They were on time, had great ideas for photographs, listened to everyone else's ideas for photographs, and we BARELY noticed they were there all day but they got AMAZING shots! The DVD slideshow at the reception was a HUGE hit and it made us so excited to actually see our proofs. The only minor complaint we had was the proofs were supposed to be ready in 3 weeks (which we thought was great) but they weren't ready until 5 weeks which is still great however we were afraid that something happened to them! Otherwise I would highly recommend them to anyone and we are very pleased with our pictures!

Weddings are expensive. However, when my husband and I started the wedding planning process we decided the one area we would not skimp on was photography and videography. We felt we couldn't put a price on the photos and video that will forever let us relive the best day of our lives. Gabelli Studios ensured we made the right decision about our photography services. From the actual photographers to the videographers to the studio staff, everything was exemplary. The only reason we didn't rate Gabelli with a 5 out of 5 on Value is because our wedding was only 10 days ago and we haven't had the chance to see the products yet. Book them! John and company made our wedding day pics and video happen in a completely non-intrusive manner. We didn't want to be bogged down with pictures all day long and posing. As a result, the moments were captured without us being aware. We chose a package that included a slideshow on an iMAC of the pics taken up to the reception. If the small sampling that John put together on that slideshow is any indication of the quality and artistic approach in all of the pics, we are in for a major treat. Waiting 8 weeks for proofs and 16 weeks for video is tough but we will anxiously await.

Overall Gabelli Studio was truly amazing. My wedding photo's were beautiful and it looked like I stepped out of a movie. John was our main photographer and I couldn't ask for a better individual to have captured such wonderful shots of me. Peter was our videographer and he was absolutely amazing as well. Peter was so down to earth with filming a same day edit video of my husband and I that led up to our wedding day. I would recommend the same day edit video if your budget allows because when Peter showed the video at our wedding everyone was in shock how great the video came out. I couldn't ask for a better crew to work with. John and Peter are a great team as well as their assistants.

We knew we wanted to work with Gabelli Studio right from the start based on all the videos we have seen them do and the unique things they were doing at weddings. They have incredibly talented individuals working there and caputred our day perfectly. We had them come to an engagement session at Giants stadium which will be footage we will watch for years to come. John and his staff are professional and respectful and you dont even realize the camera is with you during the day. John makes sure your day runs smoothly and you dont have to worry about anything. The same day edit they did at our wedding blew all of our guests away. The music they chose and the footage they got was just so perfect for us--everyone cannot stop talking about it. We are so excited to see the raw footage and our wrap up video because we know how talented they are. I would recommend them to anyone who wants to remember their wedding day in the best way possible!

I used Gabelli Studios to photograph my wedding in September 2014. From my first meeting with them over the phone, they were extremely pleasant to work with. They listened to my ideas of what I wanted for my pictures and helped make the day so memorable. The two photographers for the wedding were very easy to talk to and made everyone feel very comfortable and we all had a blast taking the pictures. When I saw the proofs I was very pleased, we had the posed pictures of the family and wedding party, and great candid shots with all our guests have a blast at the reception. Working with the team to create the album was extremely easy and helpful. I was able to review what I wanted and make sure it came out perfectly. The final result was just that, perfect! I would recommend using Gabelli for your big day!

This is a great vendor to work with! I worked with John and he was super professional, friendly, and knowledgeable. I loved how well they blended in with the crowd at the reception and I never knew they were even there! My family wanted lots of "portrait" style pictures and the team was very accomodating.

The people at Gabelli Studio are some of the nicest people I have ever come across. From the office manager to the photographers. With that being said, we had some good and not so good experiences with this company.

The Pros

The pictures and picture quality was fantastic. Every picture was beautiful.

The photographers are very professional and know what they are doing.

They were able to accommodate my wedding last minute, when my other photographer fell through.

My pictures were developed fairly soon, so I was able to send out my thank you cards at a reasonable time.

The Cons
I had a fairly large wedding, and I hired 2 photographers to take pictures of both the bride and groom as well the guests. I specifically mentioned that in my questionnaire, but instead, we received too many photos of the bride and groom, and barely any photos of our guests.

I wasn't able to take pictures with my extended family, grandparents, aunts. I felt like it was an expensive photo shoot of just my husband and myself. - I was very upset about this.

The videographer did a good job with our video, however, it took over a year to receive the video. I was hoping to receive it at least before our one year anniversary-- but no.

I know they work very hard and are very proud of the work they do. But needless to say we were both pleased and disappointed with our wedding pictures/ video.

Gabelli isn't a bad studio, but not worth the money they charge. I wasn't happy with their performance for my wedding. I paid a considerable amount of money for my photos and albums, and I felt that I got mediocre service versus what I paid for.

John did the photography, and I caught him SEVERAL times during my event not taking pictures, but just talking with his crew. During your wedding, you shouldn't have to stay on top of the people you hire--I feel that with Gabelli you would need to do that to get what you want.

I was so DISAPPOINTED with my album with Gabelli (they charged a lot) and I tried to contact them on more than one occasion and never heard anything back.

You deserve the best for your wedding and Gabelli might not provide it...

We didn't have much experience with Photographers. And made our choices based on the website. And during the Sales Process, they were friendly and helpful. But, the contract process is seriously made to their benefit. They get to keep the Hi Rez images. How very old school in this industry. To them its just another revenue stream. They already have the Hi Rez images. But, its not part of their standard contract.

If you want a formula album, then consider them. But no matter how much we told them we didn't want pictures of the Wedding Dress Hanging, or the bride's shoes, we still got them. Because the owner, does it by formula.

We had our Reception at the Manor, and that cost less than the Photographer. And yet, these folks don't get that when you pay this much you expect performance. Its 8 months after they were fully paid, and we are still not happy with the book. Because the Designer has her own ideas. The owner won't even talk to us, and one of the "talent" is now our point person. Since the Designer "typically only meets with couples once." Classic reply to a detailed email. But at least they read that one. THe next one, with detailed changes to the album has gone unread and unresponded.

Their model, only works for them. They believe you should be happy with whatever their "designer" puts in front of you. Now matter how lazy her efforts, and the near 3 month gaps between efforts.

At this rate, we aren't encouraged that we will get our book by our second anniversary.

Even our 6 piece band cost less. And they REALLY performed.

The only bad decision we made for our wedding. He was absolutely horrendous - his pictures were horrible (we had to ask our guests for their pictures because they were so bad - taken at odd angles, cutting people out of pictures, not organizing family photos at all) and his (John's) attitude toward our guests was horrible (he was downright rude to my family). He left early without saying anything to either of us. We tried to keep the cost of our reception down but we were willing to spend extra for great photography. Boy was this a huge mistake. We should have just asked our guests to take a lot of photos. Their photos were MUCH better than his anyway!! Don't make the same mistake we did!
