What is included in a wedding catering package?

Your wedding catering may be provided by your wedding venue, or you may want or need to hire an outside caterer. Reading a wedding catering contract can be a bit confusing, but in general, your wedding catering cost will be priced on a “per person” basis. What are the different ways to serve wedding reception food?

When determining your wedding food cost, a big factor will be how you’re planning on serving the meal. There are a few serving style options for weddings:

Plated: Otherwise known as a sit-down meal, your guests will be served their meal at their table by a member of the wait staff. There may be a single entrée option served or several entrée options, which your guests can either order in advance (usually on their RSVP card) or at the event. This is the most formal and traditional of wedding serving styles.

Every guest complimented the food and was amazed the variety provided! Abha is flexible and awesome to work with! We also liked that we knew exactly which chef would be making our food so what we tasted at trials is exactly what we got at our events! Highly recommend having Amiya at least on your must try list!!

Cheryl is AMAZING! I wish we could give her 10 stars. Her professionalism, ease to work with, reliable and provided a good choice of foods for our wedding! We couldn't have picked a better caterer. In addition to her catering services, she assisted us in getting linens and chairs, and set-up for our evening. Her crew is also amazing and were a big help during our entire evening. Cheryl made sure we had something to eat during our cocktail hour and served our meal during dinner, which included gluten-free options. If you want someone who is great at what they do and can adjust the menu to what you like to eat; pick Church Street Catering. We would choose Cheryl and her company all over again if we needed to do so.

Drew and his team are AMAZING!! My husband and I hired Drew to cater our backyard wedding over MDW 2021. We had about 130 guests and to this day family and friends rave about how much they enjoyed the food at our wedding, everything from passed hors d’oeuvres to entrees and desserts were out of this world! My dad even asked for a second entree he loved his dinner so much…Father of the Bride approved!! To top it off Drew is so incredibly kind and easy to work with, easily one of the best decisions we made while planning our wedding. It was a dream day and we truly had a dream team.

Everyone was incredibly helpful, but Tom and Talya were our main contacts. Tom allowed us to taste the food in our own home. Talya visited the venue with us days before and spend the morning with us setting up. It was not an easy task to cater at a location with no kitchen, but people still rave about the food to us. We got married at a brewery and wanted to have food that fit that setting. They accommodated our request and created meals that they didn't typically offer. To say that they individualized everything to what we were looking for is an understatement. I can't say enough how much we appreciate this team. They truly made our wedding! I can't recommend them enough. The food was incredible, but the professionalism, personal accommodations, and support throughout the process made our day!
