My daughter’s reception buffet at The Lehacy Cadtkd, NJ was the second time around that we chose to go with AMIYA for the catering. The first time that we tried Amiya was for my daughter’s engagement party at The Hyatt Regency on the Hudson, NJ.
We received so many compliments for Abha’s (owner AMIYA) food, her team’s cohesive service and dedication during our daughter’s engagement bash that it was a no-brainer that we would choose to go with her for her reception spread. And what a spread it was !! Our guests could not stop raving about the novelty of items on the menu that Abha & her team so diligently worked to create and present at the event.

The best thing about Abha and her team is that they listened to my needs/wishes (which were quite unique and new for the Indian menus that are generally served at events) and catered ALL the items exactly as per my specifications. They went above and beyond what one would normally expect from a caterer so much that it felt as if they were catering for Abha’s own daughter and not for a client. And that is exactly the comfort and reassurance that any of us as a client would want.
I have absolutely no words to describe the personalized service that Abha and the entire Amiya team provided for my daughter’s event !! It was beyond anything that I could have ever imagined. Each and every guest personally came up to me during and after the party to compliment me on the food, the set-up, the taste and the execution with the personalized service. I would like to pass on those compliments to the people that truly deserve them—- Abha, & the entire AMIYA team. A special thank you to their maitre’d and their excellent chef.

We cannot say enough wonderful things about the incredible job Abhaji and the whole Amiya team did for our daughter’s wedding celebrations. From the very beginning, they were an absolute pleasure to work with—professional, accommodating, thoughtful, and genuinely committed to making every event special.

The food throughout the wedding festivities was simply phenomenal. Every dish was beautifully prepared, full of flavor, and presented with such care. With a large and diverse group of family and friends, we wanted the food to be something everyone would remember—and they absolutely delivered. Our guests are still talking about how delicious everything was!

What impressed us just as much as the food was the level of service and attention to detail. Wedding celebrations can be hectic, but their team handled everything seamlessly and made us feel completely taken care of. They listened to what we wanted, accommodated our requests, and went above and beyond to make sure everything was exactly right.

For parents hosting their daughter’s wedding, there are so many things to worry about. Knowing that the catering was in such capable hands allowed us to relax and truly enjoy these once-in-a-lifetime moments with our family and friends.

We absolutely loved having Amiya cater our wedding events last weekend. Abha was very easy-going and accommodating to work with during our entire planning process from the tasting to the menu creation! We had them cater both our pre-events as well as our Wedding ceremony lunch and reception! Our guests were raving about how phenomenal the food and catering was for each and every event! From the Haldi stations and mocktails, to the sangeet live stations, and finally the amazing cocktail hour food! Finally, we were super grateful at how kind and responsive Abha and the staff were to our requests throughout the planning process. We will definitely be visiting the Amiya Restaurant when we are in the Jersey City area!

We had been dining and getting takeout from Amiya’s restaurant for a while, so when we were planning our wedding we knew we had to consider them for catering! The food tastings completely blew us away and we were so excited to share the food with all our guests.

On the wedding day, everything was amazing from start to finish! Morning snacks and lunch, cocktail hour (which was a huge hit with everyone!), reception, and dessert all turned out so great. We even had guests visiting from India who were blown away, which felt like the ultimate compliment.

Abha, Tushar, and the team were such a pleasure to work with throughout the whole process. They were so attentive, professional, and detail-oriented in helping us craft the perfect menu (with our multiple food restrictions and requirements) and made sure all the logistics were organized seamlessly on the day. Honestly a great team to work with and helped us reassure things would go smoothly.

If you’re looking for a caterer for your event, we can’t recommend Amiya enough! We’re already looking forward to many more dinners at the restaurant as regulars. Highly recommend!

We are so thankful to Abha and the Amiya team for the amazing food at our wedding. What we loved about Amiya is the flexibility of the chefs and being able to customize our menu to add items that were not on the standard menu, such as including some Maharashtrian style dishes. Abha herself made sure our parents with specific allergies had allergen free versions of the food to eat on the day of the wedding. We also asked Amiya to prepare some North Indian style brunch boxes for our family members before the wedding, which were a hit! Our family and friends still rave about how good the food at our wedding was - from aloo kati rolls, to hara bara kebabs and juicy chicken tikka!! Highly recommend Amiya.

We used Amiya catering for our Son’s wedding’s 3 functions and their food was delicious. We had about 250 guests and everyone loved their food. Abha, the restaurant owner is a very nice person and very accommodating and flexible with their services. During big functions things keep changing so it is very important that vendor should be flexible with your changing requirements. I recommend Amiya for all catering needs

We chose Amiya to cater for our Indian wedding and they did an exceptional job. We had Gujurathi food for lunch and Punjabi/Indo-Chinese food for reception. Every guest complimented the food and was amazed the variety provided! Abha is flexible and awesome to work with! We also liked that we knew exactly which chef would be making our food so what we tasted at trials is exactly what we got at our events! Highly recommend having Amiya at least on your must try list!!

We reached out to Amiya to help us cater our Roka / Engagement party and from the very beginning throughout the entire process, they were very helpful, flexible and listened to our needs for the party. We have some people that have allergy restrictions and they were sure to be mindful of that too and set up signs. The food was incredible everyone enjoyed it and it was a very seamless process start to finish! Definitely recommend choosing them for your catering needs for Indian food - they have lots of options and all are delicious!

Hands down the best vendor I had! Abha is both a pleasure and delight to work with. From the very beginning she went above and beyond to make our wedding day so special and catered to our every need. We hired Amiya for our wedding, and they completely exceeded our expectations in every possible way. From the very first consultation to the final bite of dessert, everything was handled with the utmost professionalism, care, and creativity.
