We’re excited to have found Diwan by Design to plan our Fall 2019 Indian wedding in Philly! Sneh Diwan was organized, transparent, down-to-earth, and executed our vision for a simple, classic, chic, romantic wedding perfectly (being very cognizant of our budget every step of the way).

My fiancé and I contracted with Sneh for full-service planning (supporting us with the following major buckets of work: vendor research & contracting, vendor comms and coordination, day of coordination, wedding styling, and most importantly – sanity and gut checks) for our Sangeet, Wedding, and Reception. Of the 20 or so planning companies we interviewed, Diwan by Design came out on top for the following reasons:

•High quality customer service – she was professional, respect
•Responsiveness – she responded to questions/concerns from us and vendors in a timely manor and was accessible via email, phone, text, and gchat!
•Affordability – by far the best bang for our buck compared to other Indian wedding planners

•Organization – she has a multitude of tools/resources to use to stay organized.
•Eye for design – with a background in fashion, she was a great resource for various aspects of styling (from décor, to bridal wear, to bridal party colors).

We hired Sneh 11 months in advance of our wedding and it was the perfect amount of time to start the wedding planning process from scratch (we didn’t even have a venue). Sneh kept us on track with her month-by-month calendar/timeline which mapped out what we needed to accomplish in a given month prior to the wedding.

If I could, I would share all of the awesome things Sneh did for us but here are a couple of highlights:
•Sneh was instrumental in helping us prioritize where our money would be well spent. She even helped us a create a “reality check” budget which we were able to stick to through the wedding.
•Sneh was great resource as we planned our Philly wedding from Boston. She met with several vendors/venues on our behalf so we didn’t have to make additional trips to Philly.
•Sneh single handedly obtained a permit and coordinated with the Philadelphia police department to shut down a major street in Philadelphia for our Baarat. This could have been a major headache for us but Sneh took care of it seamlessly!
•We ran into an unfortunate situation on the day of the ceremony when our 22 fresh marigold garlands were not delivered. Luckily, we had a few extra feet of marigolds (used for decoration) which Sneh and her team tied into garlands on the day of the ceremony!

Overall, we had a wonderful experience working with Sneh and team. Additionally, each of our vendors communicated their respect for Sneh’s working style and dedication to flawless execution.

Sometimes you meet someone on the internet and it can go really wrong… or it can be one of the best decisions you’ve ever made. Thankfully, my late-night TikTok scrolling led me to Sneh, and hiring her was hands-down one of the best decisions of our entire wedding.

Let me paint the picture. My husband and I hosted a 150-person fusion wedding (Desi + Latin) in Mallorca, Spain. We had four events over four separate days across different parts of the island, with five different hotel room blocks (because Mallorca is full of charming boutique hotels). Our guests were flying in from all over the world, many on multiple flights, and to top it off, most arrived the same day the local airport flooded. Add in buses to and from every location, and you’ll understand the level of complexity we were dealing with.

And yet… I didn’t feel a single ounce of stress that entire weekend.

Sneh and her team protected my husband and me from all the madness and executed everything flawlessly. Truly. She was calm, grounded, and in total control, which allowed us to be fully present and actually experience our wedding.

Beyond the logistics (which were handled with absolute precision), what mattered most to us was having someone who deeply understood who we are and would advocate for our vision. I originally thought I needed to hire a local wedding planner, since that’s what everyone recommends for destination weddings. And while having local vendor relationships can help in some situations, what mattered more to us was having someone who would fiercely protect what we were trying to create. That is exactly what Sneh did.

When our caterer said they didn’t know how to make a Desi menu, Sneh worked directly with their culinary team, sending recipes and sourcing spices to ensure the food was authentic. When our florists felt limited in their vision, she brought in a floral design team from Mexico to work alongside them so nothing felt compromised. For many of our venues, this was their first Desi wedding, and Sneh was incredible in helping them navigate it all with clarity and care.

Sneh didn’t just plan our wedding, she co-created it with us. She honored what was important to me and my partner and helped shape an experience that felt deeply intimate, personal, and reflective of our love.

I had a vision I couldn’t fully articulate, and Sneh, with her design background and intuition, brought it to life. She spent so much time truly understanding our taste and priorities that when I was fatigued or overwhelmed, I could confidently hand things over to her. I trusted her completely to make decisions knowing she truly knew us.

Above all, we wanted our guests to feel our love and gratitude. And while many brides hear this, I can say without hesitation that every single guest commented on the energy of that weekend. How loved they felt. How seamless everything was. How special the experience was. That energy was a direct reflection of Sneh and her team.

On a personal level, I felt incredibly loved and taken care of. Her team kept me grounded in the moments, making sure I didn’t lose my phone, that I ate breakfast, that my favorite music was playing, and that I stayed calm and present. It was thoughtful in all the small, human ways that matter most.

And back to logistics, because this is where girl math really matters. The number of times vendors accidentally added upcharges, duplicated invoices, or input the wrong rate was wild. Bills were coming in daily from different vendors, even weeks after the wedding. Had Sneh not been on top of it all, we absolutely would have overpaid. She caught everything, advocated for us, and protected our investment at every turn.

If you are considering a destination wedding, or honestly any wedding where you want to feel supported, understood, and fully present, hire Sneh and her team. She is a planner, a designer, a protector, and a steady presence all in one. I truly can’t imagine our wedding without her.

Every moment flowed smoothly (and on time!), every vendor and guest knew exactly where to be, and any potential issues were handled before we even knew they existed. Our families were able to relax completely and enjoy every second of the celebration because we trusted the team completely. Planning a wedding can be stressful, but Diwan By Design made the entire process feel organized, calm, and fun. We couldn’t be more grateful for their hard work and dedication, and thanks to them, our wedding day felt magical, seamless, and unforgettable. 

My husband and I are so lucky we chose DxD for our wedding. Sneh and her team went above and beyond from the day we signed them until our wedding. They managed every detail seamlessly: coordinating vendors, keeping us on schedule without ever making it feel rushed, solving problems before we even knew they existed, and making sure our families knew where to be and what to expect. Throughout it all, they were warm, thoughtful, and an absolute joy to work with. I am tearing up just thinking about how special they made our wedding. They even rolled with some extremely last minute changes (i.e. 9pm decision to nix cake cutting so we could start dancing...) and orchestrated everything as consummate professionals.

The weekend ran flawlessly because of them, and we felt so supported every step of the way. If you’re on the fence about a day-of coordinator, don’t be (assuming you hire this team): they made our entire experience smoother and happier. Working with Sneh and her team was a great experience. We had hired Sneh for Day of Services, but her and her team went above and beyond in supporting us in having the best day possible. She was very helpful in structuring how we should go about prioritizing our vendors and she also worked with all vendors to make sure our day went without any issues. The teams' day of services are something we will always highlight. Someone from the team always checked in with us, if there were any issues that came up they were very quick to take care of them. They made sure my husband and I were enjoying the food at our wedding as well. At the end of the event, they made sure everything got cleaned up and they packed the necessary things up for us. This team was unbelievably helpful and definitely highly recommend their services.

My husband and I were slated to go with another planner, in fact we had a signed contract. However, something felt off and we felt buyers remorse. Luckily for us, Sneh was available to do a call and from the first contact we had with Sneh, we knew she was the wedding planner for us. The best thing about having Sneh in your corner is she makes herself available. She was there for us to push aunties when deadlines weren’t being met, she was there to help navigate our room block fiasco and more importantly, she was there for us to navigate hard conversations with vendors and when things got tough. Sneh and her team worked tirelessly throughout the whole wedding planning process. There was constant communication with numerous email threads and video calls. She helped streamline the planning process. When wedding week came, the team’s attention to detail, ability to handle numerous personalities from family members to vendors, and thoughtfulness really made a difference in our wedding experience. We were never bothered with any small issues, they were all handled by Sneh and her team. We cannot recommend Sneh and her team enough.
