We’re excited to have found Diwan by Design to plan our Fall 2019 Indian wedding in Philly! Sneh Diwan was organized, transparent, down-to-earth, and executed our vision for a simple, classic, chic, romantic wedding perfectly (being very cognizant of our budget every step of the way).
My fiancé and I contracted with Sneh for full-service planning (supporting us with the following major buckets of work: vendor research & contracting, vendor comms and coordination, day of coordination, wedding styling, and most importantly – sanity and gut checks) for our Sangeet, Wedding, and Reception. Of the 20 or so planning companies we interviewed, Diwan by Design came out on top for the following reasons:
•High quality customer service – she was professional, respect
•Responsiveness – she responded to questions/concerns from us and vendors in a timely manor and was accessible via email, phone, text, and gchat!
•Affordability – by far the best bang for our buck compared to other Indian wedding planners
•Transparency – she was honest about cost/feasibility when it came to all aspects of wedding planning and vendor selection
•Organization – she has a multitude of tools/resources to use to stay organized.
•Eye for design – with a background in fashion, she was a great resource for various aspects of styling (from décor, to bridal wear, to bridal party colors).
•Consistent friendly demeanor and positive attitude
We hired Sneh 11 months in advance of our wedding and it was the perfect amount of time to start the wedding planning process from scratch (we didn’t even have a venue). Sneh kept us on track with her month-by-month calendar/timeline which mapped out what we needed to accomplish in a given month prior to the wedding.
If I could, I would share all of the awesome things Sneh did for us but here are a couple of highlights:
•Sneh was instrumental in helping us prioritize where our money would be well spent. She even helped us a create a “reality check” budget which we were able to stick to through the wedding.
•Sneh was great resource as we planned our Philly wedding from Boston. She met with several vendors/venues on our behalf so we didn’t have to make additional trips to Philly.
•Sneh single handedly obtained a permit and coordinated with the Philadelphia police department to shut down a major street in Philadelphia for our Baarat. This could have been a major headache for us but Sneh took care of it seamlessly!
•We ran into an unfortunate situation on the day of the ceremony when our 22 fresh marigold garlands were not delivered. Luckily, we had a few extra feet of marigolds (used for decoration) which Sneh and her team tied into garlands on the day of the ceremony!
Overall, we had a wonderful experience working with Sneh and team. Additionally, each of our vendors communicated their respect for Sneh’s working style and dedication to flawless execution.

The Best Wedding with the Best Coordinator
We could not recommend Diwan By Design more! Our wedding day exceeded our expectations because Sneh and her team went above and beyond to make everything seamless. When we say they think about everything, we really mean everything. From mapping outlet locations for music to making us a plate of food before we went out to make sure we got to actually eat at our wedding, the Diwan By Design team were PREPARED. We felt so at ease on the day knowing that they would take care of anything and everything that could come up. The level of professionalism is unmatched and the calm that they bring neutralizes any anxiety or panic that you might be feeling. They truly understand that most people need and/or want handholding in planning their wedding; Diwan by Design takes the time to make sure you understand each stage of the process. Sometimes you meet someone on the internet and it can go really wrong… or it can be one of the best decisions you’ve ever made. Thankfully, my late-night TikTok scrolling led me to Sneh, and hiring her was hands-down one of the best decisions of our entire wedding.
Let me paint the picture. My husband and I hosted a 150-person fusion wedding (Desi + Latin) in Mallorca, Spain. We had four events over four separate days across different parts of the island, with five different hotel room blocks (because Mallorca is full of charming boutique hotels). Our guests were flying in from all over the world, many on multiple flights, and to top it off, most arrived the same day the local airport flooded. Add in buses to and from every location, and you’ll understand the level of complexity we were dealing with.
And yet… I didn’t feel a single ounce of stress that entire weekend.
Sneh and her team protected my husband and me from all the madness and executed everything flawlessly. Truly. She was calm, grounded, and in total control, which allowed us to be fully present and actually experience our wedding.
Beyond the logistics (which were handled with absolute precision), what mattered most to us was having someone who deeply understood who we are and would advocate for our vision. I originally thought I needed to hire a local wedding planner, since that’s what everyone recommends for destination weddings. And while having local vendor relationships can help in some situations, what mattered more to us was having someone who would fiercely protect what we were trying to create. That is exactly what Sneh did.
When our caterer said they didn’t know how to make a Desi menu, Sneh worked directly with their culinary team, sending recipes and sourcing spices to ensure the food was authentic. When our florists felt limited in their vision, she brought in a floral design team from Mexico to work alongside them so nothing felt compromised. For many of our venues, this was their first Desi wedding, and Sneh was incredible in helping them navigate it all with clarity and care.
Sneh didn’t just plan our wedding, she co-created it with us. She honored what was important to me and my partner and helped shape an experience that felt deeply intimate, personal, and reflective of our love.
I had a vision I couldn’t fully articulate, and Sneh, with her design background and intuition, brought it to life. She spent so much time truly understanding our taste and priorities that when I was fatigued or overwhelmed, I could confidently hand things over to her. I trusted her completely to make decisions knowing she truly knew us.
Above all, we wanted our guests to feel our love and gratitude. And while many brides hear this, I can say without hesitation that every single guest commented on the energy of that weekend. How loved they felt. How seamless everything was. How special the experience was. That energy was a direct reflection of Sneh and her team.
On a personal level, I felt incredibly loved and taken care of. Her team kept me grounded in the moments, making sure I didn’t lose my phone, that I ate breakfast, that my favorite music was playing, and that I stayed calm and present. It was thoughtful in all the small, human ways that matter most.
And back to logistics, because this is where girl math really matters. The number of times vendors accidentally added upcharges, duplicated invoices, or input the wrong rate was wild. Bills were coming in daily from different vendors, even weeks after the wedding. Had Sneh not been on top of it all, we absolutely would have overpaid. She caught everything, advocated for us, and protected our investment at every turn.
If you are considering a destination wedding, or honestly any wedding where you want to feel supported, understood, and fully present, hire Sneh and her team. She is a planner, a designer, a protector, and a steady presence all in one. I truly can’t imagine our wedding without her. -

Diwan By Design was an absolute dream to work with from the very beginning. Even from our very first call, Sneh easily stood out from other planners we spoke to. She took the time to truly understand our vision—what we loved, what we didn’t, and the feeling we wanted our guests to experience. She made every big decision we faced more digestible and easier to comprehend. Every conversation felt effortless, and she always came prepared with thoughtful ideas, creative suggestions, and solutions that kept us from feeling overwhelmed.
What stood out most was the team's incredible attention to detail. Sneh didn’t just focus on the bigger elements; she carefully considered the small touches that made the day feel personal and meaningful. Whether it was helping us choose décor that fit our style, guiding us through vendor options, or managing the budget and timeline with precision, she approached everything with care and professionalism. Every moment flowed smoothly (and on time!), every vendor and guest knew exactly where to be, and any potential issues were handled before we even knew they existed. Our families were able to relax completely and enjoy every second of the celebration because we trusted the team completely. Planning a wedding can be stressful, but Diwan By Design made the entire process feel organized, calm, and fun. We couldn’t be more grateful for their hard work and dedication, and thanks to them, our wedding day felt magical, seamless, and unforgettable. -

Sneh and her team made our wedding weekend perfect. From the moment they stepped in, they brought a sense of calm, organization, and genuine personal care that allowed us to be fully present and enjoy our weekend. We loved having them be part of the experience.
They managed every detail seamlessly: coordinating vendors, keeping us on schedule without ever making it feel rushed, solving problems before we even knew they existed, and making sure our families knew where to be and what to expect. Throughout it all, they were warm, thoughtful, and an absolute joy to work with. I am tearing up just thinking about how special they made our wedding. They even rolled with some extremely last minute changes (i.e. 9pm decision to nix cake cutting so we could start dancing...) and orchestrated everything as consummate professionals.
The weekend ran flawlessly because of them, and we felt so supported every step of the way. If you’re on the fence about a day-of coordinator, don’t be (assuming you hire this team): they made our entire experience smoother and happier. Sneh and her team were truly our saviors during our wedding planning journey. With both my wife and I juggling demanding schedules—and my wife starting a new job—the idea of planning a wedding felt daunting, especially one taking place in Europe while we were thousands of miles away. From the very beginning, Sneh and her team stepped in with incredible professionalism, warmth, and organization, ensuring that we had the wedding of our dreams while balancing budgets, aesthetics, family dynamics, guest experience, logistics, and vendor coordination.
Our venue was a complete blank canvas, requiring every element to be brought in—from tables and décor to lighting and florals. This meant managing dozens of vendors and navigating hundreds of emails and calls, all of which Sneh and her team handled seamlessly. They allowed us to stay focused on enjoying our engagement while streamlining key decisions through well-prepared updates and thoughtful recommendations.
One moment that truly stood out was when our florist struggled to capture our desired floral arrangements after multiple sessions. Sneh leveraged her expertise and network to create a detailed outline that included the exact types of flowers, color palettes, and even arranging instructions. Thanks to her intervention, the final designs were exactly what we had envisioned—absolutely perfect.

Sneh and Charishma went above and beyond and were an absolute pleasure to work with! They were extremely generous with their time and always maintained a very positive attitude. We are thrilled with how our wedding turned out and we are certain it would not have been even half as successful without them.
Sneh and Charisma connected us with quality local vendors within our price range that did beautiful work. They made sure we met regularly with the vendors and gave them all of the information necessary to fulfill our vision. They prompted us to consider things that never would have occurred to us. The idea of having to plan our wedding without them gives me anxiety even now.
My husband and I have very demanding jobs and often fell behind with getting them information or taking care of things only the couple can handle (e.g. signing contracts). They were always exceedingly patient with us and never showed an ounce of frustration. Sneh and Charishma also saw us through two wedding postponements due to the Covid-19 pandemic. They handled these seamlessly and made us feel at ease.
On the day of our wedding, they were by our side but never intrusive. It was extremely comforting and relieving to have them gently prompting us and helping us capitalize on every moment of this important day. We genuinely like them as people and were sad to say goodbye to them at the end of the night.
The value we got from Sneh and Charishma is surely much greater than the value we would have gotten from a larger wedding planning company. We were very lucky to stumble across them and we very highly recommend their services! -

HIGHLY recommend Diwan By Design!! My wedding was perfect!
Originally, my husband and I were not going to book a wedding planner but WoodsEdge Farm highly recommended it so we had Diwan by Design as our planning and it was SO worth it. Sneh was amazing to work with, we had multiple 1 on 1 calls/texts throughout the process so we were in communication when needed. She would listen to our vision but also provide guidance to us. She coordinated logistics and details with the vendors and put together a timeline for everyone. The day of, I was so impressed with how smoothly everything went. Sneh was always around the corner to make sure we were on the same page with our vision, kept the schedule on time and was even there to check in with us without hovering. Her and her team went far and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. It was absolutely a pleasure to work with Diwan By Design and would recommend to anyone! -

I heard about Sneh Diwan from a friend last year. At the time, I was planning my lavish 350 person Indian wedding at a venue in PA. At the time, I was planning it myself. Fast forward to June 2020, just a month before my original date, and in the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. My husband and I decided we wanted to still get married on our original date and do a backyard wedding with about 50 people. I called Sneh because I really didn't know how we could pull this off in less than a month to the scale that we wanted it. From the minute she stepped in, she was the greatest resource. She came and scouted different backyards for us to ensure that we had the perfect space for our big day. She made several recommendations for tent size, linens, and electric wiring that were immensely helpful and I never would have thought of. She also made sure to keep social distancing measures in mind at every step. She found us a florist (Wildly florals) who made my romantic summer vision come to life.
On the day of our wedding, she was at our new venue spot at 9 am, directing all the rentals, florals, and catering companies. When there was a threat of rain (100% chance according to google), her optimism and positivity kept us going! Thankfully, it did not rain, but because of her, we had a back up plan in place! During our ceremony and "reception", many of our guests commented about how she seemed to be everywhere at once! She took care of every detail of the day to make sure my husband and I didn't have anything to worry about. She was kind and thoughtful, but also knew when she had to step in to make decisions for us! All of our guests are still talking about how beautiful and special our backyard wedding was, and Sneh was instrumental in making it happen! Hire Sneh for your special day, big or small, and it will be a dream come true! While it was not the day we had ever expected, it was an beautiful and intimate ceremony that my husband and I actually got to enjoy, and that is because of Sneh. -

Sneh is absolutely amazing! My husband and I live in California, but our wedding was in Hoboken, NJ. I had already booked a few things by the time I was ready to look for a wedding planner, so I wanted to find someone I could get along with, trust, was local to the wedding site, and also wouldn't try to push me to spend more than I wanted to. I called about 15+ wedding planners and then instantly connected with Sneh. She understood my vision, got my style, instantly built rapport, and I told her during that phone call she was hired. I'm so glad I did! She's become a friend throughout the process. She's detail oriented, quick to find solutions, and takes ownership in everything she does. She's timely in her responses- both texts and calls. My family and friends were impressed with her during our wedding. Our decorator was difficult to work with and wasn't doing what was in the contract. Sneh was quick to try to handle everything she could herself and didn't involve us until needed. I knew she had our back every step of the way. I can't express our extreme gratitude for all her work in helping us with our wedding. -

Sneh and Charishma are amazing! I cannot say enough good things about Sneh. I hired her to plan a multi-day wedding on the recommendation of a family friend and it was probably the best decision I made in terms of wedding planning. We planned a multi-day wedding in New York while living on the West Coast, moving, and getting a new job, and both days went seamlessly. The best things about Sneh:
- She has flawless taste.
- She is on top of EVERYTHING. She keeps all the balls in the air, checks in proactively and generally massively reduces your stress
- She knows all the vendors in the general NYC/NJ area, both Western and Indian, and will help you find the best fit for you
- She is really nice, friendly and always super upbeat. Working with her was a lot of fun and made the whole planning experience a lot happier. All the vendors we worked with also thought really highly of her.
- She is super dedicated to making it work, and always has contingency plans
So many of our guests complimented us on how well the wedding was organized, how wonderful all the vendors we picked were, and how smoothly everything went. During the wedding itself, I did not stress at all! Sneh took care of everything, including finding us an amazing babysitter to watch kids who got tired of all the crowds and partying. We had an amazing wedding and hiring Diwan By Design was 200% worth it. -

Sneh is both a wonderful person and a thoughtful and skilled wedding planner. I wasn’t super excited about the planning process, but Sneh made it a truly enjoyable experience. Our conversations and meetings were never rushed, and I always knew I had her full attention. She was great at knowing when to let me take the lead and when to provide me with more guidance in making decisions. She dealt with our difficult vendors, kept us to our deadlines, and always remained accessible. In addition to her planning skills, she has a great aesthetic and created beautiful setting places, centerpieces, flower displays, boutonnieres, and more for our wedding on a very limited budget. It was more than I could have asked for and I am so thankful at her willingness to go above and beyond to make our vision come true! She was always calm, even when things went awry (which they inevitably do), which helped to keep us calm as well. All of our family and friends that interacted with her loved her and we do too! I would recommend her to anyone looking for an extremely organized yet approachable wedding planner who is ready to execute your vision of a perfect wedding! -

Amazing!
I hired Sneh as a day of coordinator for my July 6th wedding. Sneh was an amazing help! She made excellent recommendations when my fiancee and I hit a bump with planning. She was also there for us when our hotel burned down a few weeks before the wedding. She kept all my vendors in the loop and she was so down to earth that I didn't stress at all. If she wasn't there I'm pretty sure my wedding would have been nerve racking! Thanks to Sneh I enjoyed my wedding without worrying about anything. She was available my call, text, and email and she was very prompt with responses! My only dilemma now is how I can part with my new friend. I highly recommend Diwan by Design! -

Diwan by Design was wonderful in every way. Though we hired Sneh as a day-of coordinator, she went above and beyond and basically did the job of a full wedding planner. She was with us every step of the way during our engagement, making sure we stayed on track to keep things as stress-free as possible. She was super responsive and attentive, at all hours of the day! We had a Hindu-Jewish fusion wedding with a baraat, mixed ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception all at the Hyatt Jersey City.
Sneh was amazing to work with. We hired her for Day of Coordination but she was much more than that, working with us starting a few months before the wedding. She gave us vendor recommendations, pointed out things we did not think of, was extremely responsive, and created our timeline. She even designed a welcome sign and signature drinks signs for us. She was trustworthy and caring and our wedding would not have been as successful without her help.
