My daughter’s reception buffet at The Lehacy Cadtkd, NJ was the second time around that we chose to go with AMIYA for the catering. The first time that we tried Amiya was for my daughter’s engagement party at The Hyatt Regency on the Hudson, NJ.
We received so many compliments for Abha’s (owner AMIYA) food, her team’s cohesive service and dedication during our daughter’s engagement bash that it was a no-brainer that we would choose to go with her for her reception spread. And what a spread it was !! Our guests could not stop raving about the novelty of items on the menu that Abha & her team so diligently worked to create and present at the event.
The best thing about Abha and her team is that they listened to my needs/wishes (which were quite unique and new for the Indian menus that are generally served at events) and catered ALL the items exactly as per my specifications. They went above and beyond what one would normally expect from a caterer so much that it felt as if they were catering for Abha’s own daughter and not for a client. And that is exactly the comfort and reassurance that any of us as a client would want.
I have absolutely no words to describe the personalized service that Abha and the entire Amiya team provided for my daughter’s event !! It was beyond anything that I could have ever imagined. Each and every guest personally came up to me during and after the party to compliment me on the food, the set-up, the taste and the execution with the personalized service. I would like to pass on those compliments to the people that truly deserve them—- Abha, & the entire AMIYA team. A special thank you to their maitre’d and their excellent chef.

We are so thankful to Abha and the Amiya team for the amazing food at our wedding. What we loved about Amiya is the flexibility of the chefs and being able to customize our menu to add items that were not on the standard menu, such as including some Maharashtrian style dishes. Abha herself made sure our parents with specific allergies had allergen free versions of the food to eat on the day of the wedding. We also asked Amiya to prepare some North Indian style brunch boxes for our family members before the wedding, which were a hit! Our family and friends still rave about how good the food at our wedding was - from aloo kati rolls, to hara bara kebabs and juicy chicken tikka!! Highly recommend Amiya. -

We chose Amiya to cater for our Indian wedding and they did an exceptional job. We had Gujurathi food for lunch and Punjabi/Indo-Chinese food for reception. Every guest complimented the food and was amazed the variety provided! Abha is flexible and awesome to work with! We also liked that we knew exactly which chef would be making our food so what we tasted at trials is exactly what we got at our events! Hands down the best vendor I had! Abha is both a pleasure and delight to work with. From the very beginning she went above and beyond to make our wedding day so special and catered to our every need. People RAVED about the food. The display was so elegant and unique. Cocktail hour was a huge hit. The reception food and service was out of this world. I am so happy I chose them for my wedding they truly went above and beyond and we will forever be grateful -

What an awesome overall experience we had with Amiya as we planned for our Son's pre-wedding event for 160 guests. We loved the quality and presentation of all the dishes covering appetizers to main course as well as desserts during our elaborate food tasting and event. Abha and her team gave us the best arrangements and worked with our flexibility. We really appreciated all the work for our sangeet (music and dance) party event. The whole setup of the food stations & vibe, along with the service was a hit. Special thanks to Abha & Tushar for coordinating everything at the venue. -

Wow! Just wow! I don't know what else I can say to describe the grandeur and spectacular cuisine that Amiya provided us for our 3 day, 5 event Indian wedding!! The variety was just amazing - from a lamb carving station, to momos, to fresh pasta, and amazing twists on the classics - I had so many people come up to me and rave about the amazing experience they had! We used Amiya for our Mendhi, Haldi, Sangeet, Wedding, and Reception nights, including one event on a yacht, and each, and every time they delivered and impressed our guests, leaving them wanting more! From the asparagus chicken koftas to the amazing catalogue of desserts, Amiya provided everyone with a stunning feast! Most importantly, all of our vendors, from the photographer to the Make Up Artist to the venue staff worked so well with Amiya (and well well fed!!).
I can not thank the Amiya team enough for making our wedding the most picture perfect and enjoyable event!!! -

We are so happy that we had our wedding and reception catered by Amiya! All of the food was outstanding! Everyone kept sharing with us how much they enjoyed our menu and the variety. Abha Aunty was fantastic to work with from consistent communication to customizing the menu based on our requests. Amiya’s food has always been top notch. I’ve been a customer for a very long time when it was time to cater my wedding they were a no brainer. Abha was able to catering to my guests dietary restrictions while still maintaining the taste of all the items. Many of my guests came up to me and said the food was one of the best parts of my wedding. Amiya was able to cater our food to have no onion and garlic, some vegan items, and also not spicy enough that my husbands side of the family could enjoy it (who are Hispanic). We had Amiya cater our Sangeet and Wedding, and they did a great job! They had a great variety of food to choose from, and were able to cater to our specific needs and tastes - including taking feedback from our tasting session with them and applying it perfectly on the day of the event. We had them cater different food items, including Chaat, Indian-Chinese, Gujarati, Tamil and Jain food, and all the dishes surpassed our expectations. All our guests gave us great reviews of the food as well!
Abha was great to work with, very accommodating with all our requests, and went above and beyond with late adjustments to the initial plan. We would highly recommend Amiya for great catering!Amiya Restaurant's reply:

My husband and I had a tasting at Amiya Restaurant with our parents to see if this would be a good fit for our wedding - we were amazed by the high quality ingredients, the immense flexibility shown by the team, and their enthusiasm to make sure our day would be perfect. Abha, the restaurant owner, personally took care of us from the first meeting itself. She took careful notes about what we loved and tailored the menu according to our preferences. If we could redo our wedding all over, we absolutely would, and we would love to work with Abha and the Amiya team again. Thank you so much for making our day absolutely wonderful! -

Amiya is simply an amazing vendor/restaurant to work with. Abha and her team (Chef Girish especially!) provide a seamless experience with plenty of recommendations and advice for couples of all backgrounds (punjabi, gujurati, south indian, non-desi). The food was the tastiest food many of my guests have ever had at a Hindu wedding and reception. Full disclosure, both my sisters were married a few years prior to me and they used Moghul and Bukhara Grill respectively. And this is not to denigrate either of these two catering options, but in my humble opinion the food at Amiya is just head and shoulders above (Chef Girish is an absolute asset to Amiya). If you haven't tried it just go in on any day and the sheer number of patrons and delivery traffic should convince you of the fact that this restaurant is just a step above. Thank you Abha and Chef Girish for your amazing service and quality! I hope to dine with you again in the near future!

Abha & the entire Amiya team were heaven sent for our Indian wedding with International guests flying from all over the world. They were patient and very attentive to all our cuisine needs! Every tasting was so creative and the food quality was out of the world! They really listened to our foodie-needs and catered to many tastes/preferences/spice levels for each event. More importantly, they were flexible in the various allergies/diet restrictions some of our family members and friends had.
From Puja lunches, to morning breakfasts, to Sangeet street food, to a Gujju-Sindhi Wedding lunch to an incredible Cocktail hour and Reception dinner, everything from the presentation, quality of food to the level of service was on point!
Our guests still talk about the food provided at our wedding over 3 days, 5 events months later! We would choose Amiya all over again in a heart beat and suggest any couple to do the same. You will not be disappointed! -

Amiya catering is an exceptional caterer that we used for my wedding reception in July 2019. The food was delicious, presentation was outstanding and beyond our expectations. All of their food is very unique and our guests are still complementing our food. The staff was extremely professional and attentive during our tastings and the day of. Abha (the owner) is an absolute pleasure to work with and so accommodating and beyond helpful. She herself was present during my wedding day to ensure everything was taken care of. They were able to accommodate our guests with specific dietary needs. I HIGHLY recommend Amiya and honestly can’t say enough great things about them.
All in all it was great working with Abha and I would surely utilize them in the future for other events!

Absolutely fantastic! We were so lucky we found Abha and her team to cater for our wedding. Food is an integral part of any Indian wedding, or any wedding for that matter. We did a food tasting with Amiya and right away knew that we wanted their services. Choosing the menu was difficult as we loved everything that we tasted and could not decide! Each and every one of our guests couldn't stop raving about the food. Amiya provided exactly the taste and blend of Indian fusion food that we wanted. Amish Sent on 09/18/2018Abha and her team at Amiya were unbelievable! They went above and beyond to make sure our cocktail hour and reception food was amazing! Since the day we met Abha, she went out of her way to help us with everything we needed. My husband being a personal chef as a side business wanted to collaborate with Abha on some of the cocktail hour appetizers. And Abha was very excited about it. She welcomed any of Amish’s ideas and worked with him to bring his ideas to life along with of course, her own delicious dishes! We keep getting compliments on how good the food was and everyone wanted to know where we had it catered from! Overall, our experience with Amiya was wonderful! And we would definitely recommend them to anyone that is looking for a wonderful team with even more wonderful and delicious food!
