Romance at Water's Edge....

Whether you choose to host inside or outside, your private event is guaranteed to be both exceptional and memorable.
It's Rich History...
The Frederick Douglass – Isaac Myers Maritime Park celebrates the contributions of African-Americans in the development of Baltimore’s maritime industry including the establishment of the Chesapeake Marine Railway and Dry Dock Company, the nation’s first African-American owned and operated shipyard established in 1868 by Isaac Myers. The site honors the legacy of Isaac Myers and Frederick Douglass and their contributions to African-American history, including voting and labor rights, while preserving one of the city’s oldest industrial waterfront buildings.
Maritime Park is now the headquarters for Living Classrooms Foundation who provide hands-on education, job training, and health and wellness programs for children, youth, and adults from diverse backgrounds, with an emphasis on serving disadvantaged youth. Living Classrooms also maintains the site as a museum and art gallery with rotating exhibitions open to the public. Proceeds from the rental of Maritime Park benefit the Foundation’s ongoing educational and public programming that are hosted at this site.

It was a picture perfect wedding venue
We loved having our wedding here! It was a perfect spot. Majority of the guests were from out of town. It gave a beautiful view of the harbor and Baltimore with air conditioning in August! The venue itself is beautiful and has so much character. Natalie is fantastic and truly awesome to work with!!Sent on 08/19/2019

The Frederick Douglass Maritime Museum is beautiful - we ended up changing our original planned date for one that they had available, and we are so glad that we did! Natalie was great to work with - she was very helpful, especially in the beginning with recommendations for vendors, and very responsive to emails! We definitely recommend making sure at least some of your vendors are familiar with the space - most of ours were, and it showed in the end results! Everything came together beautifully!Sent on 07/22/2019

Beautiful Venue with a wonderful staff
We picked the Frederick Douglass-Issac Myers Maritime Museum because of the flexibility with their spaces, but we were so happy that we received a lot more. Natalie was wonderful to work with and made things so easy for us to envision our dream wedding. She let us walk through the venue so many times to show it off to family. While Natalie wasn't there the actual night of the wedding, her team that was were so accommodating. We got married on the pier with the fabulous view of the city. Everyone talked about what a fabulous venue it was and they had never seen anything like it. Initially, I was concerned about the restaurant being open, but once we got there I didn't even think about it. If you're looking for a unique, flexible venue with a wonderful staff, this is the one for you.Sent on 05/14/2019
