Fathom Gallery 14th Street offers both an indoor and outdoor space for couples. Those who are looking for a wedding with a view can enjoy the rooftop garden, which can accommodate up to 125 guests. The roof deck features ivy and shrubbery, hanging plants with dangling tendrils, and young trees. Market lights stretch across the space overhead. A brick wall rises up beside the couple as guests look out at city views beyond the living wall of greenery. Couples who would prefer to celebrate indoors can avail of the Gallery Level, which can accommodate 72 guests for a sit-down meal or 125 for a cocktail reception. This gallery features more chicly rustic brick decor, polished hardwood floors, and distressed sliding barn doors. Large windows allow light to flood the space, highlighting the contemporary furniture which provides a unique contrast to the historical space. Through the gallery area, couples will find a kitchen area before being led up a short flight of stairs to the open-air rooftop space.

Services Offered

In addition to wedding ceremonies and receptions, the loft also opens its doors for bridal showers, engagement parties, and rehearsal dinners. Staff at this venue will take care of setup and cleaning, allowing couples to relax and enjoy their big day. To help create a seamless experience for newlyweds-to-be in the leadup, this venue can also offer a range of rental equipment including furniture, tents, and tent accessories. Lighting sound equipment is available, along with tables and chairs.

History

The gallery was originally part of “Automobile Row” at the turn of the 20th century. It first functioned as a brake shop and maintains much of its historic architecture and signage. In 1968, riots following the assassination of Martin Luther King, Jr. caused citywide destruction. The loft represents the city’s attempt to rebuild and revitalize after this time.
