Unresponsive stylist offering little value
I hired Farrah 4 months before my wedding to help me accessorize my wedding dress (e.g. accessories, shoes, and veil), pick out bridesmaid dresses and groomsmen outfits, and picking out a 2nd look for my reception. Unfortunately, my experience with Farrah left much to be desired. She not only did not fully provide the services I hired her for, she also was very unresponsive during those 4 months which led to a very frustrating experience as a time-crunched bride. Example 1: I had hired Farrah to find a 2nd look for my wedding, but she didn't do any work on it for 8 weeks after I hired her. By the time I followed up to see what her styling progress was, we were well within 60 days of the wedding. By that time, I felt that I could no longer buy made-to-order pieces and needed to find a dress ASAP to ensure alterations and accessorizing are done in time. As a result, I had to terminate Farrah from doing this task even though she jeopardized my timeline for finding a 2nd look due to her procrastination on this assignment. // Example 2: Farrah promised "head to toe" lookbooks for each girl for the bridesmaid looks, but ultimately only delivered a set of bridesmaid dress options to me. She was also very unresponsive during the styling of the bridesmaids - I had to follow up with Farrah numerous times in order to even get her to start working on the bridesmaid styling, which led to a severe limitation to the bridesmaid dresses my bridesmaids could choose from (they had less than 8 weeks to order and alter). She did not start work on my bridesmaids until 5-6 weeks after I hired her for the task, despite having promised that she would start on those several weeks earlier. Additionally, Farrah did not deliver on the "head to toe" looks (shoes, jewelry, etc.) she originally promised - I had to personally accessorize the girls with shoes and jewelry in the end. // Example 3: I hired Farrah to provide recommendations on groomsmen outfits, including picking out a gift set of bowties and pocket squares for the guys. I repeatedly followed up with Farrah to get her recommendations for the bowtie and pocket square gift sets given we had to select and order it in time for our destination wedding, but she did not respond to me despite 4 text messages (spread out over the course of a week) and 1 email asking about it. Ultimately, I gave up trying to contact her and just picked something out myself. It is unacceptable for a vendor to ghost a client in this way, especially when Farrah continued to falsely promise to send deliverables "today" or "tomorrow" or "after I get off this call". // In summary, Farrah would often overpromise and underdeliver - I had to continuously follow up with her to get any styling deliverables from her. I personally didn't find her styling services worth the expense - I felt that I had to endure a lot of frustration and radio silence during the styling process, which would have been avoided if I just went with another stylist or just styled myself.
