Reviews of Established Sartorial

Our poor experience

We had an overall poor experience with Vic at established Sartorial. The TL;DR version is that there was poor communication, lack of promptness, poor quality of material, and poor attention to detail.

(1) we were very disappointed regarding tbe poor fit and he spent $8k on this suit. We did do virtual fitting, which he assured us he was experienced at, having been in this business for years and survived through COVID.

(2) we experienced very poor communication, and even though we ordered 10 months in advance, he only received the suit 2 months in advance. My now husband started texting him 7 months in advance, and after 2 months went by with no response, I got involved. I had to call, text, leave messages, and find every social media on him I could in order to get a response. I work 60 hours a week sometimes and was planning a wedding, so this was not something I had time to do. After weeks of non-response, it wasn't until I started to insinuate legal action that he became responsive. When we finally got the suit only 2 months before our wedding date, he was swimming in it. At that point, our options were limited: there was no time or money to get another bespoke suit and since we were many states away, we were not willing to risk sending it back to him to get it fixed. So we had to shell out for another tailor, who did their best but the measurements and proportions were so wrong that it still didn't fit right.

(3) the suit itself looked good from afar, but the material quality was poor, I could see light through the stitching holes. For $8k, that should be quality material.

(4) Vic did try to make it better. He sent us a free shirt, which was linen, looked sharp, and seemed to fit better than the suit did. It ripped the first time he wore it.

(5) Vic includes a personalized label in the inside of the jacket. After all of this, he spelled my husband's name wrong. I asked Vic to send us another one and sent the corrected spelling. HE STILL SENT THE WRONG NAME. That's just careless and icing on the cake.

All of those things show me a lack of attention to detail and care for the products you produce. It saddens me that when we looked at our wedding pictures, he doesn't like some of them because of how his suit fit him.

For the price that he paid, for having met this gentleman before, and for both Vic and I being members of a dance community I have been a part of for a long time, I expected better.
We're all about trust. Our community relies on honest reviews to help you make those big decisions with ease.
