About

In Hebrew, there are two ways to express the word “say.” One is Dibbur, the other, Emor. While Dibbur refers to the actual words being spoken, Emor represents the intention, passion and breath that carry those words.

Only once we have been excited by the substance of what we are learning (Emor), can we then meaningfully and genuinely connect to the words and ideas (Dibbur).

An Emor need not even be a word…an Emor can be a song, a sigh, a smile, a look or even silence.

Emor is the seed of inspiration planted deep into the hearts of all those who are surrounded by it…and like a seed, continues to evolve and grow long after the moment of inspiration has passed.

Emor is the imagination, the creativity, the unique personality and the magic in our lives.

Emor is our way of referring to the deepest, most meaningful Judaism and our approach in sharing it with the people around us.
