Emily Knox is a creative and knowledgeable event planner! I am getting married in July and met with Emily for a one hour consultation to discuss the details of my wedding. Emily gave me great ideas for how to develop the seating chart as well as provided me with a resource for making my own name cards for the tables. My fiancé and I are having difficulty figuring out which song to use for our first dance. Emily gave me recommendations for how to choose the perfect song as well as a good time length for the first dance, father/daughter, and mother/son dance. I really appreciated Emily’s detail in her planning as she provided me with great examples of the schedules for the week and day of the wedding. She gave helpful recommendations of how to organize the schedule and who to share it with. She also shared examples of how to organize a seating chart and photo list. My fiancé and I want our wedding to have a travel theme. Emily had many creative ideas that added a unique flare to our wedding within our budget. It was evident from my consultation that Emily has a natural talent and passion for planning events. My meeting with Emily answered many of my questions that I had about the details of my wedding. I would highly recommend Emily Knox as she has helped me feel more organized and calm about my wedding day!

We chose the Full Service Package. Before the wedding, Emily met with vendors and negotiated contracts so I didn’t have to. She kept me up to date with a detailed excel sheet of projected and actual costs to keep plans within my budget. She saved us at least 10% of what our wedding could have cost.
She helped me choose dresses for my bridal party that complemented my friends’ figures and played on the romantic, classic theme that I wanted.
She planned the rehearsal dinner with an intimate family dinner feel, moved the venue indoors last minute due to rain, and handled our change in menu the week of the event without a complaint.
She scheduled transportation and hotels for out of town guests and kept everyone in the know with a detailed timeline for the week and day of the wedding. And on the day of the wedding, she guided the group to keep us on schedule without making us feel rushed. I was able to relax because I knew Emily and her team were taking care of the details.
The reception was more gorgeous than I had imagined. She took greenery, candles, and tablecloths, and made the scene look so perfect! She knows how a good event flows and what questions to ask vendors before the event to make sure you get what you want. For example, I had my reception at a popular, seasoned venue; I had assumed that details would have been ironed out. Emily asked if coffee would be served with the dessert; if she hadn’t asked, it would have been served with dinner only. She was very thorough with the venue--making sure that the layout, seating chart, cocktail hour and bar would be set up to be as welcoming as possible.
