I don't even know where to start. Elizabeth was absolutely incredible. I initially booked one of her apprentices, but at the last minute, she was experiencing some health complications, so Elizabeth stepped up and shot our wedding herself. I was floored. That, alone, speaks volumes of her work ethic and passion for what she does. It only got better. Elizabeth has a magical quality to the way she works. She is able to blend into the event in a way that I've never seen, and somehow never misses a shot. I can't say enough great things about her and her work. Cream of the crop.

Prepare yourself.  Because I am about to sing Elizabeth's praises in a way that  might leave you asking yourself, seriously, can a photographer be THAT good?  And my answer is this: Yes, a photographer really can be so truly, achingly talented as to warrant this kind of adoration and reverence.  

I'm here to tell you today not only about the obvious, that is, Elizabeth's sublime talent behind the camera, but also about her abundant capacity for being a wonderful friend, teacher, and just generally, a kind-hearted person.  I truly think that Elizabeth's gift for seeing the beauty in everything and her ability to capture the essence of a moment in time is because her heart is filled with goodness and love for the people that are lucky enough to work with her.  Elizabeth isn't just photographing your event as a job; she sees that the event is a momentous occasion in your life, something not to be trifled with, and she works tirelessly to make sure that every time you look back at her images documenting that occasion, you will be flooded with emotions that run so deep that it is as if you are reliving the moment for the first time all over again.  
While our wedding day was otherwise flying by, the moments we spent with Elizabeth were so serene and relaxed that they gave us a momentary respite from all the action and  a much-needed opportunity to reflect on and appreciate being husband and wife. Elizabeth was so easy going and fluid about giving direction that we felt entirely comfortable the entire day. When we received our photos from Elizabeth we saw the nuances of her direction and that each photo was more heartbreakingly beautiful and natural than the last.   

I truly cannot say enough good things about Elizabeth. I have been blessed to know her as a friend and mentor over the past 6 years. My husband and I were so lucky to have had her shoot our wedding and we would choose her all over again a thousand times if given the opportunity.

Elizabeth was a pleasure to work with and delivered a beautiful product! She was extremely responsive and open to meeting and speaking on the phone. She worked with us on the right package to fit our budget. She scouted out the venue location as well as the nearby area so that she had a great idea in her mind of where she wanted to go the day of the wedding. She is very flexible and has a wonderful eye - she helped us and our families feel natural and at ease during our photos. She seamlessly walked us through central park, often disappearing into trees and bushes to get perfect shots. She was efficient and mindful of the schedule which she helped guide us in preparing so that we were not pressed for time. During the ceremony and the party she captured splendid moments in a non-obtrusive manner. We knew she was there because of the beautiful photos she produced, but we did not feel her during the special moments! :) After she gave us the beautiful photographs (beautifully packaged in her own way) she worked with us to touch up some of our families' requests without hesitation.
Aside from her wedding work, Elizabeth is easy to talk to and such an interesting person in her other work. It was such a pleasure working with her and we are so grateful that she was part of the day!

My husband and I came across Elizabeth while searching for a photographer to shoot our wedding in Puerto Vallarta. After browsing through every single photo on her blog and website (her work is addicting), we booked her, and patiently waited a year to meet her. Fast forward to our wedding day. Elizabeth and her second shooter Yanen rocked as our wedding photographers. Even in the heat and humidity, they worked extremely hard for 7 straight hours. Elizabeth got down in the sand, climbed rocks and over cars (I'm not even exaggerating) to capture some of the most amazing photos I've seen. We have looked at our wedding photos every day since we received them, and it feels like we are re-living that day through the photos. Elizbeth Lloyd was a dream to work with from the moment I emailed her. She gave me so many tips about wedding planning that I was sold on her from the start. My fiance and I spoke with her over skype and ended up arranging two engagement sessions--one in San Francisco as she was doing a wedding here and another down in Sayulita. The photos could not have turned out better. All that being said, nothing can compare to the amazing work Elizabeth did on our wedding day. Not only was she cool, calm, collected, fun, supportive on the day but the work she did was unlike any other. Our friends and family cannot stop complimenting us and raving over our photos. I looked for a long time for a photographer for my wedding. I found Elizabeth's website and fell in love with her photos. Working with her was amazing as well. She actually saved my wedding ceremony, insisting that it should be held outside, even though there was a possibility of rain. Magically, the sun came out just as I was walking down the aisle! She got so many amazing shots and many of them were candid. I love looking at the photos and feeling like I am back at the party. She also was so covert! I did not feel like I had someone breathing down my neck the whole night, but she captured every part of the wedding. I would highly recommend her!

She's communicative, professional, and a lovely person to get to know. My wedding photos are stunning. Everyone is photogenic when Elizabeth is behind the camera. She's creative; some of my favorite photos are the ones where she played with focus, lighting, or reflection through windows. Her photography packages are a DEAL.
