It was a pleasure working with Elizabeth Lloyd as our destination wedding photographer in Puerto Vallarta. Choosing a wedding photographer can be a daunting task because there are so many brilliant photographers out there. But, as soon we saw Elizabeth’s online portfolio and interacted with her over email and Skype, we knew that we had made the right decision. Not only is she very responsive, friendly and easy to work with, but also she was able to capture the most intimate moments at our wedding and reception. Elizabeth did a great job of taking a variety of detailed, candid and posed shots. She has the ability to make everyone feel comfortable, even those who are camera shy. Not only is she an incredibly talented photographer, but also a lifesaver. She sewed up my reception dress when the zipper broke unexpectedly. My husband and I feel very grateful to have had the opportunity to work with such a gifted, artistic and considerate wedding photographer. Elizabeth has provided us with beautiful memories that will last a lifetime.

I cannot say enough about Elizabeth Lloyd Photography. Countless have asked me about her after seeing the pictures from the wedding, but also after watching her work her magic at the event itself. We wanted a style that looked clean, and funky, with lots of candids -- none of that ultra stiff wedding feel. Beth accomodated that style while remaining completely tireless and professional until she got just the right shot, even setting up a photo booth where we got some of the best black&white candids. A lot of our friends have used those shots on their fb pages, and one couple even used one to announce their engagement. We signed up for the full package which included coverage of: Engagement, Welcome Event, Wedding prep for Bride and Groom, Wedding and Trash the Dress. Trash the Dress was enormously creative -- we went to Coney Island and got some of our best shots in some perfect sunset shots. She is also a pleasure to work with and remarkably patient. I would not just recommend -- I would downright order all the people I care about to have her cover their special events. She is a talent.

Elizabeth was a complete star! Not only is she exceptionally talented photographer, but she has an ease and infectious playfulness about her that makes everyone feel comfortable. She makes the effort to connect with the bride, groom and guests. She even went beyond her duties, and painted my toenails!

I think her expertise is taking unexpected photos when you're not looking, capturing the true essence of the moment. Her photos tell a story with amazing richness. She also made taking the portraits a fun and engaging experience. She's also amazing at getting prime shots without being invasive or even noticed. During the ceremony I wasn't aware of her, but when I saw the photos, I was amazed at all the angles she shot from.

Elizabeth was a pleasure to work with. She's incredibly approachable, flexible, creative and just down right fun! I would highly, highly recommend her!

Working with Elizabeth Lloyd was an absolute pleasure. I'm so glad she was able to share our special day with us. Elizabeth is the one. If you're like me, the documentation of your wedding is important to you. You're looking for a skilled and artistic photographer, someone who blends in with the crowd on the big day, and a bang for your buck. Elizabeth is all this and more. She's communicative, professional, and a lovely person to get to know. My wedding photos are stunning. Everyone is photogenic when Elizabeth is behind the camera. She's creative; some of my favorite photos are the ones where she played with focus, lighting, or reflection through windows. Her photography packages are a DEAL. Perhaps the best, and most important thing about Elizabeth is that she is sincere. She's just as excited about your wedding as you are.

My husband and I are so thrilled with Elizabeth's work. I was very picky about finding a wedding photographer - having wonderful wedding photographs was one of the aspects of the wedding that mattered to me most. I was originally drawn to the beautiful photographs that appeared on Elizabeth's website; they were in a different league from the cheesy pictures one usually sees. Once I contacted her, I found her friendly, professional, and obliging; I also found her prices very reasonable. Finally, during the wedding itself, she worked SO hard - she was literally snapping pictures for eight hours straight, while at the same time remaining fun and cheerful throughout. The finished result is spectacular - our pictures are beautiful, artful, and honest. To that end, I would highly recommend Elizabeth Lloyd Photography to anyone looking for a great wedding photographer.

Elizabeth photographed my sister's wedding and when the pictures came back, I knew she was absolutely the best photographer I'd ever seen. No joke. So when my day came to walk down the aisle, darling (and talented) Elizabeth was right there to capture the whole thing (along with her great assistant photographer).

Elizabeth's photos - They're beautiful. Just a touch modern/artsy, but still capturing all those classic wedding moments and poses. She shoots SO MANY, I now have 2 CDs full of a minute-by-minute account of my wedding. Miss something during all the excitement on your big day? Don't worry, Elizabeth caught that for you! Elizabeth really listens about what look and feel you want. What the big moments are in your mind. Who your real best friend is (that you really do want in photos with you) and who your annoying third cousin twice removed is among the crowd.

Elizabeth's work style - Elizabeth is very calm and easy going. She's downright cute. (She may squirm at being called cute, though.) But don't let that fool you - the girl hustles! She works her BUTT off for you. Laying on the floor in dirt/sand to get the perfect shot? No problem. Walking through bushes covered in poison oak? No problem. (Seriously, she did that.) Running up and leaning over the edge of a balcony with mere seconds to go before the moment passes by? Yup! But she's also great because (no offense, Elizabeth) she knows how to disappear and make herself invisible throughout the party.

Elizabeth's pricing - You can't find a better deal. Believe me, I managed every penny of my wedding budget and searched high and low for the best photographer at the best price. What really sets her over the edge and above the rest is that YOU own the photos at the end of the day.

Girls, do yourself a favor and hire Elizabeth Lloyd. If you're on the fence about how much you really need to invest in photography (as all the other wedding costs keep piling up), remember that you'll have your husband, your memories, and your PHOTOS for the rest of your life. Everything else - whether the cake turned out too dry or the flowers weren't quite right vanishes in the sweet memories of your special day. But crappy photos stick with you forever. Invest in the best.

I looked for a long time for a photographer for my wedding. I found Elizabeth's website and fell in love with her photos. Working with her was amazing as well. She actually saved my wedding ceremony, insisting that it should be held outside, even though there was a possibility of rain. Magically, the sun came out just as I was walking down the aisle! She got so many amazing shots and many of them were candid. I love looking at the photos and feeling like I am back at the party. She also was so covert! I did not feel like I had someone breathing down my neck the whole night, but she captured every part of the wedding. I would highly recommend her!

Elizabeth was extremely easy to work with and made us feel very comfortable. She maintains a very easy going attitude though she is very professional. We had concerns about the cost but feel that she is well worth it and are very happy with our photos. It was the best long term investment, every time that we look at the photos they bring us back to that moment. We would recommend her to anyone.

Elizabeth has an incredible aesthetic eye and is extremely personable allowing even the most nervous bride (or groom) to be at ease. She is very receptive and easy to collaborate with and also has a wealth of her own creative ideas. She captures what you want and also takes photos that you had no idea you knew you wanted or even knew were possible to take. She is both professional (quick to respond to all questions and concerns) and down to earth (easy to talk to and has a good sense of humor - she is the kind of person you would want for a friend, not just a photographer). I am THRILLED with the photos she produced and cannot wait to get our album. It's actually been a challenge for my husband and me to choose the photos we want for our album because we cannot narrow down our favorites. I would HIGHLY recommend her to anyone looking for a lifetime of remarkable photos. One of the best pieces of advice I can give to current or future brides (that my now-sister-in-law shared with me) is don't cut corners or try to save money with your photographer because your photographs are the only thing that will actually last a lifetime and will forever capture your tremendous effort and the incredible magic of your remarkable day. If she is available for your date, make sure you have Elizabeth take your photos. And book early as I'm sure she is in great demand. Lastly, I feel like I should mention that I am a film director and do not make flippant comments about the quality of artistic imagery. Elizabeth truly has a remarkable eye.

I was incredibly satisfied with Elizabeth. She's super cool and great to work with. My husband and I went down to Puerto Vallarta a few months before our wedding for some final planning and got a chance to meet her in advance. I immediately liked her energy. At the wedding she was not invasive and both her and her assistant blended seamlessly into the event, without attracting attention to themselves but capturing everything important. A lot of my guests commented after the wedding about how much they liked her and how impressed with her that she was constantly shooting pictures.

We had a unique situation because we had a Jewish wedding on a Saturday. The rules say that weddings on the sabbath can't take place until sundown. Since our Rabbi wouldn't allow us to start the ceremony until 6pm... we had very little sunlight after the ceremony and my husband and I didn't want to see each other before. This did not give Elizabeth much sunlight to work with and she still managed to capture amazing photographs in a short time. I also was a little delayed getting ready before the wedding, who knows... the sun and the beach made it hard to stay focused. Everything ran a little behind schedule. Despite all the challenges our day threw at Elizabeth she still stayed calm and made it work. I loved that about her.

My wedding pictures are beautiful. I can't imagine having worked with anyone but her. I personally like a more unconventional, more editorial look to pictures and she accommodated this well. It's been over a year since our wedding, and as time goes by I have Elizabeth's photos to keep all the memories alive... looking through our wedding album is like being transported back to that day. So perfect.

I don't even know where to start. Elizabeth was absolutely incredible. I initially booked one of her apprentices, but at the last minute, she was experiencing some health complications, so Elizabeth stepped up and shot our wedding herself. I was floored. That, alone, speaks volumes of her work ethic and passion for what she does. It only got better. Elizabeth has a magical quality to the way she works. She is able to blend into the event in a way that I've never seen, and somehow never misses a shot. I can't say enough great things about her and her work. Cream of the crop.

Elizabeth was a pleasure to work with and delivered a beautiful product! She was extremely responsive and open to meeting and speaking on the phone. She worked with us on the right package to fit our budget. She scouted out the venue location as well as the nearby area so that she had a great idea in her mind of where she wanted to go the day of the wedding. She is very flexible and has a wonderful eye - she helped us and our families feel natural and at ease during our photos. She seamlessly walked us through central park, often disappearing into trees and bushes to get perfect shots. She was efficient and mindful of the schedule which she helped guide us in preparing so that we were not pressed for time. During the ceremony and the party she captured splendid moments in a non-obtrusive manner. We knew she was there because of the beautiful photos she produced, but we did not feel her during the special moments! :) After she gave us the beautiful photographs (beautifully packaged in her own way) she worked with us to touch up some of our families' requests without hesitation.
Aside from her wedding work, Elizabeth is easy to talk to and such an interesting person in her other work. It was such a pleasure working with her and we are so grateful that she was part of the day!

Elizbeth Lloyd was a dream to work with from the moment I emailed her. She gave me so many tips about wedding planning that I was sold on her from the start. My fiance and I spoke with her over skype and ended up arranging two engagement sessions--one in San Francisco as she was doing a wedding here and another down in Sayulita. The photos could not have turned out better. All that being said, nothing can compare to the amazing work Elizabeth did on our wedding day. Not only was she cool, calm, collected, fun, supportive on the day but the work she did was unlike any other. Our friends and family cannot stop complimenting us and raving over our photos. Coming from a bride who has been through it, you want to have photos that reflect how special your day was to you so you can relive it all over again. Elizabeth's photos allow us to do that.

Beth is an incredible photographer! She photographed our destination wedding at Las Caletas in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, and we couldn’t have been more pleased with her dedication, hard work, and professionalism.

I came across Beth’s name while reading online reviews for wedding photographers in Puerto Vallarta and decided to check out her website. Comparing her work with the photos posted on a dozen other photographers’ websites, I was drawn to how natural, artistic, and strikingly beautiful Beth’s photos are.

When I contacted Beth by email, she happened to be visiting friends in Brooklyn (where I live), and she gladly met up with me for coffee. Beth seemed easy-going and down-to-earth, and I instantly felt comfortable around her. She patiently fielded all my questions, and even gave me recommendations for welcome dinner restaurants and places to visit in Puerto Vallarta. I was convinced that I wanted Beth to photograph our wedding – I just had to convince my fiancé!

My fiancé (now husband) is a very tough sell, especially when it comes to spending money. He set up his own meeting with Beth, planning to grill her about every single photography expense. He went into the meeting very skeptical about whether her work would be worth the money… and he came back from the meeting very impressed!

From my husband: Personally, I hate taking pictures, but Beth has a great way of either making you feel at ease in front of the camera or being a chameleon to photograph people in their most natural state. You can’t ask for a more hard-working photographer. I can’t tell you how many of our wedding guests asked, “Who is this woman? Where did you find her?” This came up all night because they saw Beth laying in the sand, standing in the ocean with waves crashing in on her, or balancing barefoot on slippery rocks, all just to get that one perfect shot.

I remember during our wedding toast, I got hit by a flash of light from above and said, “What the heck was that?” I looked up and Beth was perched on top of the bar, one arm on a beam and the other one with her camera hovering over us. She’s like Spiderwoman! That’s what you get with Beth. We got our pictures and were amazed at all the angles that were covered by her and her assistant. Later, when we were watching our wedding video, we were blown away by how Beth was able to stealthily roam about with her ninja-like prowess.

The pictures are simply stunning.

Elizabeth was a pleasure to work with. She was affordable, professional and our wedding photos came out beautifully. What I loved most about her talent, was her ability to capture the most wonderful, authentic moments and expressions of our loved ones. We had Elizabeth do the photography for our wedding and everything came out spectacular! She has a great eye for unique shots that captured our wedding and the setting perfectly. She was very professional and made us feel very comfortable throughout the entire day. Elizabeth was very discreet - she documented the whole day (from getting ready to the last drink) without getting in the way or imposing her will. We have absolutely gorgeous pictures and we can't recommend Elizabeth enough. Good luck!

My husband and I came across Elizabeth while searching for a photographer to shoot our wedding in Puerto Vallarta. After browsing through every single photo on her blog and website (her work is addicting), we booked her, and patiently waited a year to meet her. Fast forward to our wedding day. Elizabeth and her second shooter Yanen rocked as our wedding photographers. Even in the heat and humidity, they worked extremely hard for 7 straight hours. Elizabeth got down in the sand, climbed rocks and over cars (I'm not even exaggerating) to capture some of the most amazing photos I've seen. We have looked at our wedding photos every day since we received them, and it feels like we are re-living that day through the photos. If having artistic, natural and beautiful photos that tell a story of your wedding day are important to you, you cannot go wrong with Elizabeth!

Prepare yourself. Because I am about to sing Elizabeth's praises in a way that might leave you asking yourself, seriously, can a photographer be THAT good? And my answer is this: Yes, a photographer really can be so truly, achingly talented as to warrant this kind of adoration and reverence.   I'm here to tell you today not only about the obvious, that is, Elizabeth's sublime talent behind the camera, but also about her abundant capacity for being a wonderful friend, teacher, and just generally, a kind-hearted person. I truly think that Elizabeth's gift for seeing the beauty in everything and her ability to capture the essence of a moment in time is because her heart is filled with goodness and love for the people that are lucky enough to work with her. Elizabeth isn't just photographing your event as a job; she sees that the event is a momentous occasion in your life, something not to be trifled with, and she works tirelessly to make sure that every time you look back at her images documenting that occasion, you will be flooded with emotions that run so deep that it is as if you are reliving the moment for the first time all over again.
While our wedding day was otherwise flying by, the moments we spent with Elizabeth were so serene and relaxed that they gave us a momentary respite from all the action and a much-needed opportunity to reflect on and appreciate being husband and wife. Elizabeth was so easy going and fluid about giving direction that we felt entirely comfortable the entire day. When we received our photos from Elizabeth we saw the nuances of her direction and that each photo was more heartbreakingly beautiful and natural than the last.   I truly cannot say enough good things about Elizabeth. I have been blessed to know her as a friend and mentor over the past 6 years. My husband and I were so lucky to have had her shoot our wedding and we would choose her all over again a thousand times if given the opportunity.

My wife and I were married in March of 2009, and it was nothing short of amazing (hopefully, every married couple says this). It was a smallish group - around 60 or so, and Elizabeth and her assistant Nate were our photographers. I'll just say right now that they knocked it out of the park. We had found out about Elizabeth through our wedding coordinators - nothing but praise and they had recommended her highly.

We'd never met her until the Tuesday before the wedding. We had scheduled a casual shoot, something she had offered in her services. We'd definitely recommend this, if you have time for it. It was a great way to both get to know her and her personality behind the camera, especially before all the craziness and stress of the wedding day. From this first session, we knew Elizabeth was a great fit for us and what we wanted. She was very kind and personable, not pushy or overbearing, and had great creative ideas for shots. One key to her success, in my opinion, was her ability to gauge our different personalities well in a relatively short amount of time, so that she could capture each in her work. This is truly a gift.

When it came to the wedding, she got everything - I mean all the shots you could have wanted. She was professional but playful - getting into the mix for the meaningful, tearful, embarassing and hilarious moments. Our guests were at ease around her, and it came through in her work. She was everywhere, but you never noticed: a talent that not all photographers of weddings can claim. Her assistant carried his own weight as well - a great eye and equal parts professional and fun.

To sum up, I'd say that what everyone wants from a photographer is the following: get all the key moments, be invisible, be flexible, and make everything look amazing, all without charging me my first born child. Elizabeth did all of these with a smile and the work looked fantastic. She delivered us the cd's of her work in a timely fashion, and was available on email if we had questions or concerns.

We recommend Elizabeth completely and without any reservations. Do yourself a favor and sign her up - you won't regret it!

We're so happy that we chose Elizabeth as our wedding photographer. She was an incredibly warm, funny, and friendly presence on our big day. Posing for a photograph while trying to look natural seems almost impossible, but Elizabeth was so disarming and easy to work with that she made everything we did seem effortless. She had a ton of great ideas on places to shoot in Brooklyn and different ways to capture us on our wedding day. Having seen a preview of some of the photos, we can say that they look absolutely stunning and we can't wait to see them after they're fully edited. We would recommend her to anyone who wants to look at their wedding photos and really see themselves as a couple, not just the image of a bride and groom that you'd see on a wedding cake. Elizabeth is not only a phenomenal photographer, but she is also a laid-back, fun person. Our wedding guests really enjoyed interacting with her at the reception, particularly in the "photo booth" and of course, we did as well! We've had so many people tell us that our pictures look like the ones that come with the frame because they're so well done - and I honestly don't think they're saying that just to be nice! We are absolutely thrilled with our photos and feel that Elizabeth did an excellent job of capturing the love we share for one another and the fun we had that day with our family and friends. She took so many pictures that not only do we have tons of great shots to choose from, but our guests are clammoring for them as well!
