Gina Hilliard from Elegant Occasions VA was a big help as our day-of coordinator. Gina seems to know everyone in the Shenandoah Valley, which is useful for vendor connections and suggestions. We did a lot of the planning ourselves, but when we handed off to Gina, she made everything come together very smoothly. As a type A lady myself, I loved to see her spreadsheets and timelines in action. She was a calm force on our wedding day - always there helping and keeping us on schedule. Gina is great! I spoke with several coordinators and going with Gina was a no brainer--she knows Shenandoah Valley and the vendors very well, she's easy to communicate with, and is detail oriented. One thing that stands out is that, at our rehearsal, she requested an hour to run through the ceremony. We were running late with setting everything up and getting started, but she didn't make us feel rushed, and we still managed to finish on time. When I told my vendors I was working with Gina, they were so relieved because she is someone they like and trust (and they have had bad experiences with other coordinators). If you're getting married in Shenandoah Valley, you should book with Gina.

Gina did such a great job helping us stay organized throughout our wedding weekend! I was planning the wedding from far away, so it was extremely helpful having someone there who knew the area, the venue, and could help me communicate with all of my vendors. Everything went perfectly, and Gina was there throughout the whole event to make sure!

We found Gina of Elegant Occasions through our wedding venue, and are SO glad we did! We'd debated hiring a day-of coordinator because I've been in so many weddings before (either as bridesmaid, MoH, or officiant) that we felt like we knew what to expect and weren't sure it would be worth the $$. It absolutely was. It is a totally different story when it's your own wedding day! Gina was so helpful in thinking through logistics, timeline, space layout, etc. She was available to answer our questions as they came up in advance of the wedding, and then for a venue walk-through before the big day itself. She was always on time, professional, friendly, and confident. On the day-of when I started stressing because I'd dropped the ball on details here and there (which was bound to happen) she didn't bat an eye. Just said, "I'll take care of it" and then she did. Several of our vendors commented to us later on how professional and easy to work with she was. She was worth every penny and we could not have pulled off our day without her!

Gina came highly recommended from our venue, Stover Hall. She was extremely easy to work with and already had a working relationship with most of the vendors for my wedding. She was very professional the day of our wedding and kept everything running smoothly while still keeping the process organic. Having a Day of Coordinator was a great decision for my wedding day to keep me relaxed and Gina did a fabulous job.
