Effesenden Music performs at Portland's hip hotels and historic churches. They also gladly travel to destination events in the Columbia Gorge, Hood River, Mt. Hood, Bend, the Oregon Coast and the beautiful Willamette Valley Wine country. This tenacious string quartet also regularly performs for weddings outside of Oregon including California’s Wine Country and destination weddings in Hawaii where violin adds just the right touch!

Wendy and her team of musicians were the magic that made my wedding amazing. Wendy one one of two violins and one cellist who played during my outdoor ceremony-- hymns which created sacred space, and I walked to Pachelbel's Canon in D which made my mom cry. The trio were joined by a guitarist to play my reception. We had a complete mix of classic and modern tunes-- from Waylon Jennings to Elvis to Lil Nas -- which I asked them to spotify. It was awesome. At my special request, Wendy sang vocals on the tunes which had the most meaningful lyrics to me and my fiance. It was a magical day, and I got so many compliments on the music. Thank you to Wendy and the amazing musicians at Effesenden Music! -

I have worked with Wendy and her team of talented musicians over the past several years at many weddings. Wendy in particular, takes the time to meet with each couple in order to understand exactly what their vision is for their wedding music. She and her team then spend countless hours learning almost any piece you want played, whether it be a hit from U2 or the traditional Canon in D. There are no limits to what they can contribute to your special day and we can't recommend them enough!
