Working with Eco Caters was nothing short of incredible. Every aspect of our planning process with them was extremely smooth. We cannot thank our contact from their team Scott, and the entire team including the cooks, servers, bartenders, and everyone involved for such a fantastic experience. From our very first consultation call, Scott answered all of our questions, gave us a detailed estimate, sent us many options of different menus, including seasonal menus, and set up a tasting for us. The tasting was a fun and delicious experience itself- we were blown away by the flavor of the food (particularly the desserts!), and were able to try every part of the menu, including the appetizers, salad, 3 main course options (including vegetarian), and desserts. We worked with Scott on every detail of the planning process, emailing him many times over the course of a year and getting every question answered. We also enjoyed that we were able to go through them to get out rentals for our tables, linens, dishware, and everything else we needed. This made planning and coordinating much more simple. Scott did several walkthroughs at the venue (with and without us) to ensure that every detail was accounted for on their part. At the wedding, we got so many compliments on how delicious the food was, and everyone in particular loved the Autumn Margarita we used as one of our Specialty Cocktails (a recipe that Eco Caters made). We also really appreciate their mission to reduce waste and source local and seasonal ingredients. Overall, we cannot be more grateful for our experience working with Scott and the whole Eco Caters team. Catering is such a huge investment in the wedding expenses, and you cannot go wrong working with this team!

My husband and I would highly recommend Eco Caters. Their team provided delicious menu items, flexibility, and creativity. Kristina was a joy to work with, and Chef Robbie is magic! We even discovered during our tasting that one of their newer chefs had left our favorite neighborhood spot to join Eco Caters. They incorporated our favorite dish from that same restaurant into our evening's menu. It was a thoughtful touch that help make our wedding even more personal. The team at Eco Catering are smart, professional, and truly talented at what they do. We had a seated dinner for ~130 at Dumbarton House in Georgetown - from start to finish I felt confident in the team to provide us with a quality meal that met our tastes and execute on the service side to ensure our guests had a great time. And at the end of that day that's what you'll appreciate the most - knowing the people who are handling a very important part of keeping everyone happy (food and drink) have what it takes to pull it off without a hitch.

Eco Caters was one of our FAVORITE wedding vendors. Everyone knows choosing your caterer is a large part of the wedding budget and that food is one of the larger parts of the guests' experience. So I was very, very picky when deciding on a caterer and was down to a couple favorites. However, when it came down to it, I chose Eco Caters because I absolutely love their food options and the fact that they're eco-friendly, organic, and overall a fresh, eclectic vibe. In addition to that, I really enjoyed working with Janee and Jessica. Part of what sealed the deal in terms of choosing them was heading to Ocean Beach to do a tasting, where I met the head chef and his wife, who run the business. They were super professional, and displayed that they had a great level of experience doing exactly what we were asking for. Their flexibility with the menu was HUGE for us, and allowed us to save here and there, which made a big difference for us and our budget. They did a great job with the bartending and making our specialty drink. I actually had a couple guests tell me they loved the bartenders themselves. That was a HUGE bonus because when employees are clearly happy doing what they are doing, even though it is hard work, that vibe reflects onto the wedding day experience, so I was happy to hear that bartenders/servers seemed pleasant and not just trying to get through the night ;). We also chose to have Jessica/Eco manage our rentals as well - which was a life saver. Jessica did a walk through of where we were getting married (San Diego Botanic Gardens) so that we could determine what was needed. I loved that she took the lead in telling me what was most common to do, what I didn't need, etc. The day went very smoothly, and guests raved about the food. I wish they had a restaurant so we could relive our wedding day tastes again. Thank you so much, Eco Caters!

Eco Caters did an amazing job at our May 2018 wedding. Mary was very helpful in the planning leading up to our wedding - meeting us at the linens and serving ware rental company and at our venue site. She provided helpful set-up and timeline advice. The food and service was exceptional and I would highly recommend Eco Caters!

Mary and the team at Eco Caterers were amazing. They coordinated our food, alcohol and event rentals. Mary was responsive and helpful in brainstorming ideas. And the food was delicious! We had vegan, vegetarian and meat items. Plus, the bill was far less than other caterers quoted us. They're a great team and we loved working with them!

We recently used Eco for a 50-person wedding dinner, and couldn't have been happier. Their philosophy really appealed to us, but the major selling point was the food: they say you don't get to eat at your own wedding, but if you use Eco, you'll certainly want to make sure you do. Every single bite was delicious, and they were happy to work with us to accommodate some guests with restrictive diets, and to work in some special desserts prepared by someone else. Mary and her crew made the entire process a breeze--everything was set up quickly and beautifully (and removed equally quickly at the end of the night) and all of the servers were friendly and extremely professional.

Mary also served as our day-of-coordinator and was great. She was responsive, communicated well with our other vendors, and independently handled all of the last-minute problems. Absolutely wonderful experience!

Eco Catering was by-far the best vendor we had at our wedding. (Also professionally I am an event planner, and Eco Catering was the best vendor I have ever worked with.)

Mary Gorman is a rock star of a human being. She was SUPER organized, she gave excellent wedding planning advice, and she went way above and beyond her duties as the catering manager. Working with Eco Caters couldn't have been easier since Mary was so responsive, knowledgeable, and frankly just an enjoyable person to be around.

And of course the food was AMAZING! Many of our guests commented on how they had never had such delicious and original food at a wedding. None of that standard plain pasta and caesar salad stuff (though I am sure they do an excellent pasta and caesar salad). It was custom created just for us based on our food interests and dietary restrictions of our guests.

The staff were so nice and easy going. They were extremely attentive to our guests and couldn't have been friendlier.

They were great at working within our budget as well. Compared to other caterers we looked at, they provided a better service at a better price.

AMAZING! John Cosgrove, Mary, and Robbie the chef created a delicious, fresh and experience for my daughter's wedding. The guests raved about the food. The staff was exceptional and professional attending to every need with a smile and kind word. The set up was beautiful and they did many personal touches that reflected the family's style. They made sure the bride, groom, and maid of honor had warm fresh food given all the distraction they have with the guests. Eco-caterings attention to detail and delicious food with a flair made the evening one to remember. I would recommend Eco-Catering for any event you are considering.

John, Chef Wood, and the Eco Caters team made the experience planning our wedding fun and enjoyable. We loved getting to know them, their company, and their values. They have great relationships with so many local companies and we enjoyed the associated benefits. A favorite moment from our wedding was when John's team made us a plate of the AMAZING cocktail hour hors d'oeuvres and my husband and I enjoyed a quiet moment together.
