Delicious Food, Great People
My husband and I would highly recommend Eco Caters. Their team provided delicious menu items, flexibility, and creativity. Kristina was a joy to work with, and Chef Robbie is magic! We even discovered during our tasting that one of their newer chefs had left our favorite neighborhood spot to join Eco Caters. They incorporated our favorite dish from that same restaurant into our evening's menu. It was a thoughtful touch that help make our wedding even more personal. The team at Eco Catering are smart, professional, and truly talented at what they do. We had a seated dinner for ~130 at Dumbarton House in Georgetown - from start to finish I felt confident in the team to provide us with a quality meal that met our tastes and execute on the service side to ensure our guests had a great time. Hit the mark of everything important in a caterer!
Eco Caters was one of our FAVORITE wedding vendors. Everyone knows choosing your caterer is a large part of the wedding budget and that food is one of the larger parts of the guests' experience. So I was very, very picky when deciding on a caterer and was down to a couple favorites. However, when it came down to it, I chose Eco Caters because I absolutely love their food options and the fact that they're eco-friendly, organic, and overall a fresh, eclectic vibe. In addition to that, I really enjoyed working with Janee and Jessica. Part of what sealed the deal in terms of choosing them was heading to Ocean Beach to do a tasting, where I met the head chef and his wife, who run the business. They were super professional, and displayed that they had a great level of experience doing exactly what we were asking for. Their flexibility with the menu was HUGE for us, and allowed us to save here and there, which made a big difference for us and our budget. They did a great job with the bartending and making our specialty drink. I actually had a couple guests tell me they loved the bartenders themselves. That was a HUGE bonus because when employees are clearly happy doing what they are doing, even though it is hard work, that vibe reflects onto the wedding day experience, so I was happy to hear that bartenders/servers seemed pleasant and not just trying to get through the night ;). We also chose to have Jessica/Eco manage our rentals as well - which was a life saver. Jessica did a walk through of where we were getting married (San Diego Botanic Gardens) so that we could determine what was needed. I loved that she took the lead in telling me what was most common to do, what I didn't need, etc. The day went very smoothly, and guests raved about the food. I first found Eco Caters on Twitter and they have been simply amazing to speak with and get to know. It's always great when you can have a conversation with vendors and get to know who they are and what they stand for.
