Dow Oak Events

DJ Kevin Martin Jr (goes by DJ Kev) was a wonderful addition to our wedding. We had a mixed-ethnicity wedding with half-Egyptian and half-American guests and DJ Kev knew exactly what to do. He incorporated the Arabic and Egyptian music beautifully with the more classic American hits that you often hear at Weddings. He played the songs we requested during key moments (first dances, cake cutting, entrances) and was keen to watch the dance floor and cut-off or extend the music when necessary. What a brilliant DJ! He was also so gracious when our guests wanted to surprise us with a chair lift and followed their song request, steering them using our pre-approved list of song requests. We loved talking with DJ Kev during the pre-wedding phone call and he put our minds at ease. He also handled week-of changes like a professional and didn't hesitate to help us personalize our reception day-of to make it feel more meaningful. The groom and the groomsmen had fun unique requests day-of (like dancing the Russian dance) and DJ Kev rolled with them and it made the event so much fun! Everyone was entertained and we made memories to last a lifetime!

Day-of, he arrived early, set-up properly, and played the music at just the right volume. It wasn't too loud!! We loved him for this! He also came prepared and lined-up our wedding party accordingly so our entrances were perfect and everyone had a great time! He had a cheerful presence and a calming aura that matched our wedding exactly.

By the end of the night, everyone from both sides of the family were dancing together, having a good time, and it felt like a beautiful blend of both families. We absolutely loved DJ Kevin!! He made our wedding day so special and spectacular and we recommend you also book him for your event! We danced all night with his awesome mix of both Egyptian and American songs! Personality is everything for a DJ and these guys are just wonderful! We had a very long chat before our big day to talk through what we wanted in terms of music and wow did he deliver! The energy stayed up through the whole event and he even took a moment to come say hello to us and our parents personally when he had a little downtime.

DJ David at Dow Oak Events was easy to work with and made our wedding night truly memorable. He kept the dance floor lively and was even nice enough to let me finish the night mixing my own music in. Highly recommend to anyone!

We booked Mason from Dow Oak Events as our DJ. The whole process was thorough and easy. First we had to fill out an online sheet to tell all the information about the wedding timeline and all of the songs that needed to be played and when. Then we hopped on a call with Mason weeks prior to the wedding so he could ask us any questions on our notes. He is a very easy-going, personable guy and knowledgeable and intuitive about his craft. At the wedding he was very professional, did exactly what he said he was going to do, and he kept the guests on their feet dancing the whole night. The entire process was smooth and simple. They have people that really know what they are doing. Mason DJing was a great addition to the wedding and we are very pleased with the result.

Dow Oak Events was great to work with leading up to and on our wedding day! They had several options for add-ons, DJ stand types, photo booths, and more to help make the party special. DJ Freddie was a wizard in the booth, keeping the party going and always with a finger on the pulse of the dance floor, and would switch periodically to keep the vibe right. He was incredibly professional and a great guy who always made sure everything was going how we wanted, and super easy to work with when mapping out the timeline of the day and which songs to play in key moments. Absolutely recommend him for future events!!

Ethan was incredibly helpful during the planning process and matched us with the perfect DJ for our wedding day. Bradley brought amazing energy — he kept the dance floor packed all night and was so fun and personable. Even though he wasn’t feeling 100%, he still showed up with 110% enthusiasm. DJ Tyler was very responsive and professional, the wedding went amazingly and we are so glad to have hired Dow Oaks.

Not a bride but a coordinator, we had Tyler as a DJ for our couple this Sunday and you can tell they love what they do! Anytime we had to move things up or back he was right there matching energy! We were told this wasn't a dancing group but he was able to get a good number of them on the dance floor! Very flexible, professional, and had an amazing attitude!

Tyler with Dow Oaks Events was fantastic! We had a phone consult before the wedding to go over the music. He kept the dance floor alive and played everything we wanted. He even celebrated us at the end of our last private dance.

On the day of the event, their setup was organized and efficient, with everything ready well before guests arrived. Just as importantly, breakdown and clean-up at the end of the night were handled quickly and respectfully, keeping things seamless for both our staff and the couple.

Throughout the event, DJ Freddie was engaging and attentive, reading the room perfectly and keeping the energy up without ever being intrusive. Guests stayed on the dance floor, and the transitions between moments—ceremony, dinner, and dancing—felt natural and well-paced.
