Doukenie Winery is BEAUTIFUL. We had such a wonderful experience with Maria and her staff during the day of our wedding and Maria was such a great help with wedding planning as well. The scenery of the winery speaks for itself. If you are looking for a relaxed yet romantic and beautiful setting, Doukenie is the perfect place. They were extremely professional and flexible throughout the whole wedding planning process, night before the wedding, and day of. Our wedding was running about an hour late (due to another issue we had with transportation) and Maria and her staff, along with our other vendors, agreed to extend the evening an extra hour...with a smile on their faces! Maria is such a wonderful resource and will go above and beyond to make sure that you are comfortable with your wedding plans. You will need to buy a required amount of wine for your wedding, but the wine is so wonderful, it's really just a bonus for you and your guests to drink delicious, local wine all night. We have such wonderful memories of our wedding day and it wouldn't have been the same without this venue. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

Doukenie Winery was the perfect setting for our wedding!! Maria was absolutely amazing to work with...she was organized and very receptive to what we pictured our winery wedding to be. We are so happy that we went with Doukenie Winery!

Maria was the best thing to happen to us. We went to dozens of wineries in Northern VA and once we met her and saw the gorgeous mountains, pond, and red barns, we fell in love. Maria helped us for an entire year planning every detail of our amazing day. We just received our pictures and I can't even put into words how beautifully the winery was as a backdrop. The staff was super friendly and were amazing as bartenders. Maria made sure that our wedding was nothing short of perfect and took the reigns in dealing with our vendors. We will be visiting the winery for the rest of our lives to celebrate our marriage and to introduce more people to Doukenie's delicious wine!

We had our wedding at Doukenie in June 2014. The venue is beautiful and bucolic. Our tent was surrounded by the vines and it was great to watch the sunset over the pond with horses and cows in the background. Despite the fact that Doukenie is a working winery, the property is sprawling and has lots of green space.

The folks at the winery are also top notch. Maria in particular was great. One major reason we chose Doukenie - apart from its setting - was because during our initial meeting, she seemed so organized and experienced. We were not disappointed and she made our special day run that much more smoothly (her wine recommendations were also perfect). Their bartenders are excellent and knowledgeable. It was nice to have people familiar with the wines pouring them, so guests could ask questions.

If you are looking for a fun, relaxed, and absolutely gorgeous place to have your wedding, look no further! I cannot say enough good things about this vineyard - the space is a dream, with a beautiful interior room, back deck, and large patio area on the main building, as well as a huge gazebo nearby and cute white pergolas scattered throughout the grounds perfect for a ceremony. We live in DC and were looking for somewhere with a lot of space, where our guests could roam around the grounds and explore, and this fit perfectly with the rustic, casual, outdoor vibe we were going for. We were lucky to have great May weather, and put the band and the dance floor outside on the patio under the stars - but we were also confident that if the weather had not cooperated, our "plan B" - incorporating a tent and use of the unique barrel room downstairs - would have also been lovely. Maria, the events coordinator, was a joy to work with and put up with all our questions and requests - we must have gone out there a zillion times before the wedding with various family members, and every time she greeted us warmly with a smile and a hug. She was also fabulous on the day of the wedding, working with our day-of coordinator to ensure everything was pulled off seamlessly. And even though they had had an event on the vineyard grounds earlier the morning of our wedding, the place was in absolutely perfect condition when we and our vendors arrived. We got tons of compliments from our guests, and we love that we had our wedding at a place that is fun to come back and visit! Thank you for everything, Maria and Doukenie!

My husband and I did a lot of research on wineries in Loudoun County where we were able to get married and had several on our list. Doukenie was our first stop and we knew we didn't need to go anywhere else. The property is gorgeous, the wine was delicious, and the event manager, Maria, was so easy to talk to from day one! One of the many things we liked about Doukenie was that there were many options as to where we could get married since there are so many unique settings on the property. We ultimately decided to get married in front of the horse stable because we liked the idea of the stable as the background in our pictures and it provided a good focal point. There is also a beautiful gazebo on the property where people have gotten married as well as a bridge an a large tree. If there is rain on the wedding day, there is also inside space for a "plan B". We rented a tent that went right next to the lake due to the size of our wedding (120) for the reception and used the tasting room area (including the porch and back deck) for our cocktail hour. You barely have to decorate because the landscape speaks for itself!

Maria was fantastic to work with from the time we signed the contract through our wedding day. She is VERY responsive to e-mail and phone calls. That made us feel at ease because she truly listens to you and values your opinion as well as offering advice from her experience in event planning.

Our wedding day went smoothly and all of our guests commented on what a unique venue Doukenie was, how great their wine was and how gorgeous the property was. The Doukenie staff also worked as bartenders at our wedding and they were very friendly.

The only downside was that we never wanted it to end! My husband and I highly recommend Doukenie for any event (they also do rehearsal dinners)!

We had our wedding and reception at Doukénie Winery October 12, 2013. I have a great affection for Doukénie Winery and love the wines so the winery was the perfect location for our wedding.

The Events Manager, Maria Canora, was outstanding in her level of service throughout our year of planning. Maria was very responsive to all of our inquiries and even offered wonderful and creative suggestions and ideas for our event. We used her recommendations for almost all of our wedding vendors and could not have been more pleased.

On the day of the wedding, Maria was able to adapt to inclement weather and coordinated to have our ceremony under the tent we arranged to cover the winery’s side patio. Initially I felt disappointed to not have the ceremony outside at the pergola as we planned. However, my disappointment quickly melted away when I saw how absolutely beautiful Maria and our wedding coordinator had worked together to create a warm, romantic and beautiful outdoor space to hold our ceremony while still covered from the rain. The “Plan B” location for the cocktail hour was in the winery’s barrel room. Again, my expectations were far exceeded. The space was inviting, fun and beautifully decorated. For dinner, the guests were escorted into the main tasting room and once again, I was in awe of how the space was transformed into a gorgeous wedding venue.

Maria’s level of service from the first day we signed our contract until the last of our guests left the building was nothing short of superb. Our wedding guests are still commenting about how the loved the setting, the FANTASTIC wines and the entire experience. I would highly recommend Doukénie Winery to any bride and groom looking for a fun, romantic and beautiful location for their wedding.

My husband and I have been members at Doukenie for 2 years and could not think of another place to have our wedding. Maria was wonderful and helped us every step of the way. When the wether did not cooperate and we had to move the ceremony and the cocktail hour spaces Maria checked with my husband to get the ok on plan B and worked with the caterer to get all the details taken care of in setting up the new spaces. The bartenders from Doukenie were also extremely friendly and we received many compliments on the service as well as the unique space that we chose for our wedding. We love Doukenie and it was the perfect intimate space for our wedding day. I recommend everything about it, the space, the service and of course the wine! We received many compliments on the wine!

I can not say enough wonderful things about Maria, the entire staff, and the venue itself! Not only did Maria and staff provide great service, but they were knowledgeable, flexible, and always on top of their game. It was a huge relief to have Maria on hand when in the middle of wedding planning, my husband and I moved to Michigan. Every time we came by to pick out wines, go over the program timeline, etc. they were always so friendly and professional.

In terms of the venue itself, there are a myriad of options for set-up and style whether you want to have an intimate indoor soiree with a beautifully lit terrace or a big outdoor tented affair. I think the hardest time I had was narrowing down how and where we wanted to host the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception.

The venue is a photographer's dream! It really has it all from gazebos, a barn, vineyards, a pond, and rolling hills so you can have any back drop you want for photos with friends and family. The icing on top of it all was that Hope, the matriarch of the family, made baklava for our guests which added such a personal touch to our perfect day.

From start to finish, Maria at Doukenie Winery was top notch for our September 21 wedding. They are very competitively priced compared to other vendors in the area (and we looked at many)!

On the day of, it rained HARD, but the staff at Doukenie really came through for our Plan B and our guests had a great time. They are still commenting on how beautiful the venue was and how great the wine is!

We picked this place because we could tell that Maria truly cares about each and every event, and we weren't just a dollar sign to them. Give Doukenie a try, you won't be sorry!
