We had our ceremony, reception, & guest rooms here.
Planning with Gerriann was a joy. She truly cares about your wedding & you. We often spent more time chatting, because she cared how everything was in our life (not just in wedding world) that hours would pass before we realized we hadn't discussed the wedding. That is not to say she missed a thing. She made sure to answer questions promptly & thoroughly. Wedding planning is inevitably stressful. Gerriann was NEVER the source of stress. And usually, she was the solution. She went over every detail with me to make sure everything I wanted was outlined. And, the DoubleTree’s all inclusive package made things easy. I know people who dealt with 5 vendors to handle everything Gerriann handled with ease.
Hotel: Rooms are gorgeous! Group rate was unbeatable! Our guests loved that they didn't have to leave to get a good meal. My only issue is the front desk is hit or miss. A few times I went to the front desk to ask a question & couldn't get an answer because the clerk didn't speak English well. I respect an international staff as the area gets many international travelers, but the desk should have staff available to speak English at all times.
Ceremony: Our ceremony went smoothly. When it comes to the ceremony, DoubleTree just sets it up & everything else is on you, but it worked very well. I was told the staff was very quick and professional about changing the room over from a ceremony to reception space.
Reception: The food is amazing. Everyone raved about it. We found out last minute about a guest who needed a gluten-free meal & they accommodated her without issue. We were slightly disappointed in Manuel, who oversaw our wedding. He didn't carry out Gerriann's notes as carefully as I had hoped. Nothing major that ruined the day. He just caused (or didn't solve) a few hiccups. Every wedding has issues though & from what I've heard, ours had way less than most. Overall we were thrilled

This is a beautiful hotel and was a great location for our wedding since it is so close to the airport. The food was very good and the service at the wedding was fantastic- Oscar is the best! I never needed to ask for a thing- he anticipated my every need and was right there! I will warn you though, the Doubletree does not like to work with wedding planners, but will if they have to.

We have the worst company party that year thanks to our event coordinator Gerri anne who showed us the room where we will have the party but on the day of the party we were set on the floor where you can't even have access to the room from the elevator if you don't have an access card. The room was so small the tables and chairs are set too tight and we can't even walk around the other table to mingle. Food was good but service (bec. of Gerrieanne) was bad. No more company parties here for sure.
