About this venue
Donaldson Brown Riverfront is a striking historic mansion estate with stunning views overlooking the Susquehanna River. This amazing estate displays grand Georgian architecture and panoramic views of nature. You and your partner can choose from an abundance of beautiful backdrops for an unforgettable wedding, from grand spiral staircases to vibrant lawns. Extend the experience with overnight accommodations in one of the seven spacious suites or ten additional bedrooms.
The Riverfront Estate
This 23-acre property offers couples an unparralelled view for both ceremony and reception. You and your partner could exchange vows on Mount Ararat overlooking the tranquil river or on a carefully landscaped lawn framed by stately columns. For those with intimate indoor celebrations, the mansion Crystal Dining Room seats up to 50 people. Characterized by stately stairways, antique furnishings, and a vintage chandelier, it offers an old-style setting of luxury. Newlyweds who desire a more grand commemoration of their nuptials can host up to 200 guests outside on the riverfront lawn in our timber-frame pavilion. The venue also contains spacious and sophisticated get-ready rooms, as well as a game room to keep the wedding party entertained. There are multiple sitting rooms, ideal for hosting an elegant cocktail hour, and a banquet room for enjoying dinner with your guests.
Services Offered
Donaldson Brown Riverfront Event Center can grant couples private use of the vast estate for their big day. Their professional staff wants to assist in coordinating this milestone as much as possible. They can arrange accommodations, help with choosing the right caterer, provide complimentary rehearsal time, and more.
Overnight Historic Accommodations
This beautiful Georgian mansion contains 17 opulent guest rooms and suites featuring magnificent views of the estate. Amounting to a total of 24 beds, couples and their loved ones can arrange to stay the night and continue celebrating the new beginnings. Seven guest rooms have private baths for an added element of comfort, and breakfast is included. Eight additional bedrooms are available in the Carriage House for larger parties and we have a partnership with a hotel less than three miles away.

May Wedding with Blooming Wisteria and Incredible Views
The day of the wedding, we had access to the many (large) bedrooms on the second floor where we had all morning to get ready, as did the men. This was so convenient. There was also the option to stay over night and have breakfast in the morning. We did not do that.
I was so fortunate to have Sue there on the day of the wedding as she helped organize, coordinate, and answer any questions. There was a hard time of 10pm that we needed to close down the wedding, but the Casino is right down the road and many guests went there afterward.
This venue was so amazing and I would highly recommend it!
Amazing staff and venue
Sue the property manager was incredible. Im sure with my constant pestering about if we could rent or not was annoying (haha) but Sue was amazing throughout the entire experience. She finally let me know we could rent and the books were open so i had first pick of ANY date! Which was amazing. She was incredibly accommodating and really helped walk me through the entire process. I was even able to come to the venue early in the morning to get ready. Not only did we get married there but we also stayed the evening. There is an option to rent out the bedrooms upstairs. We rented the entire place which was such a peace of mind! (no drinking and driving). I will always continue to recommend this venue, not just for the amazing views but just the amazing staff that really cares! Thank you so much for everything. It truly was the best day of my life!
