Deciding to have our special day at the Overhills mansion was one of the easiest tasks we encountered planning our wedding. The value for the money spent was shown in the quality of the venue, expertise in professionalism, and kindness from the staff. They were able to meet our budget needs and most importantly worked with you immensely on what you want, not what they think you need. You are set up with a portal to stay on track and make tasks easy for you. We emailed, texted, and called during various parts of our planning and never waited for responses.
The venue is beautiful inside and out. We wanted to have our family and friends comfortable attending a hot summer night wedding. We loved that our guests weren't confined to one room and had the option to move around. We loved that we could pick where to have our ceremony: inside, outside, tent, etc. The ballroom, bar area, veranda, tents, foyer, and getting ready rooms were clean, cool and beautifully decorated even before we added our own.
To start, the food which is all prepared in house was 5-star hands down! Baltimore crab cakes and filet to die for! All the food was beautifully presented. Homemade and farm to table dishes, plenty of options, apps and late-night fare. Even our wedding cake was prepared for us! They have the best culinary and pastry chefs around... and we are foodies!!! Check out their Chef's dinner nights, you will not be disappointed!!
The staff was very professional and wholesome. They didn't act as if we were a check, but more like friends and real people-happy to be a part of our day. They are all experienced in the wedding business and have networking capabilities with others that will have your wedding being the best party of the year! We are still getting calls from family and friends about how much fun they had at our wedding and how awesome our venue was. Do not overlook Overhills! Believe me when I say the other places you are visiting are a huge waste of your planning time!

We had our wedding at Whitehouse Caterers at Overhills Mansion on January 9th, and it was truly perfect. The mansion was still beautifully decorated for Christmas, which added such a magical and cozy feel to our winter wedding.

Lauren, our planner, was absolutely amazing to work with. She was incredibly responsive and accommodating through multiple décor changes and made the entire planning process feel easy and stress-free. We used Something Borrowed Blooms for our florals, and the venue graciously decorated the reception space with them. It turned out even better than I imagined.

Lauren also created our sweetheart cake, which was not only stunning but delicious. I’m genuinely looking forward to having another slice on our anniversary. Karen and her team of day-of coordinators and staff were delightful, professional, and so kind, making sure everything ran smoothly.

The chef and culinary team prepared an outstanding meal. Hands down one of the best wedding dinners we’ve ever had. Even with a few last-minute guest cancellations, everything went seamlessly.

I had the most amazing day and night, and I am so grateful we found this venue. The people, the service, the food, and the atmosphere were all exceptional. I cannot recommend Whitehouse Caterers at Overhills Mansion enough.

Lynda and her team did an amazing job planning with us for a perfect wedding day. If you’re getting married in the greater DC/Baltimore area, I would absolutely recommend Overhills Mansion for your venue. The mansion itself is beautiful and historic, with a nice view out the back and plenty of parking for your guests. There are a variety of indoor and outdoor areas (porches, a patio, a heated tent for winter, a lovely event hall, a built in bar room) to work with for the ceremony and reception. From our first meeting, Lynda made us feel like part of the family. She was an absolute professional walking us through the options for food and event flow. Overhills was a one stop shop and their vendor lists gave you plenty of variety to choose from (all of them top rated) which was extremely helpful in guiding our search as we were planning our wedding from the West Coast. I can’t say enough good things about the quality of the food. We had multiple chefs in our party and they were wowed by the menu and presentation. Having the upstairs of the venue for the entire day to get ready with our party and relax prior to the ceremony was invaluable. We had an absolute blast and have gotten so many compliments from our guests on the entire event and that is all thanks to Lynda and the Overhills team!

Overhills mansion was amazing! They made my dream wedding come true. I loved that the venue was all inclusive so I didn't have to worry about booking a ton of vendors like catering, desserts, day of coordinator, etc. Lynda was my planner and was super helpful throughout the process. Destiny was my day of coordinator and she was phenomenal! Every time I turned around she was right there anticipating my needs or dropping off food/drinks for me to enjoy. Definitely recommend having a wedding at Overhills :)

Everything at Overhills was a dream! If we could give more than 5 stars we would. The staff was absolutely fantastic through the start all the way to the end of the wedding. Lynda and Lauren are so awesome and extremely helpful! The food was fantastic and we got nonstop compliments from the guests through the evening! They were very responsive to all of my questions and very flexible where they could be. I can't recommend Overhills enough!

My team and I had the absolute pleasure of providing both photography and videography this past Saturday at Overhills Mansion in Catonsville, Maryland—and I cannot say enough wonderful things about this venue and its staff.

From the moment we arrived, the site coordinator, Karen, was composed, prepared, and completely in tune with every detail of the day. Her warmth, professionalism, and calm presence set the tone for a truly beautiful celebration. Both the ceremony and reception took place on-site, and she managed every transition with ease.

As a photographer, I deeply appreciate a coordinator who understands timing, flow, and the importance of communication. Karen excelled in all of these. She ensured everyone was where they needed to be, gently guiding the wedding party and family with kindness and confidence. Because of her seamless coordination, the day flowed effortlessly—allowing the bride, groom, and their families to be fully present and enjoy every moment.

I also want to highlight the outstanding work of her entire staff. They were attentive, gracious, and consistently one step ahead. And the food—simply exceptional. It was clear that great care and pride went into every dish.

Karen’s thoughtful touches, attention to detail, and genuine care for the couple were evident throughout the entire day. Coordinators like her elevate a wedding from simply well-planned to truly unforgettable. I sincerely look forward to working with her again and highly recommend her to any couple seeking someone who brings excellence, grace, and heart to their wedding day.

Overhills Mansion is the best place to have a wedding. I’m admittedly a little biased since my wedding was there. But when I tell you that this woman owned, woman-run business is incredible, it doesn’t even begin to cut it. From booking, Lynda and Lauren were responsive and professional. This is not a place that is going to leave you hanging at any point. They will be in touch with you the whole process. The day of the wedding, Julia was with us and she is the best person ever. So bubbly and interactive, and she made everything so special. She is amazing at what she does. The food was incredible. People raved about it. It is like fancy restaurant quality food. The staff was amazing. We are just over the moon.

There are not enough words to explain how truly perfect this venue was for our wedding! The entire team was extremely responsive from the very start and was flexible with all requests we had. From the very beginning our planners ensured they had every minute detail planned to perfection and ensured our wedding was perfection. I would recommend this venue to absolutely everyone! The food was fantastic and everyone mentioned how delicious the meals were. If you are looking for a magical wedding experience look no further!

We cannot recommend Overhills Mansion enough! Lauren and Lynda were incredibly responsive, patient, and kind throughout the entire planning process. We had a different day-of coordinator, Noel, who was amazing and ensured everything went perfectly to plan — a true testament to their internal communication and professionalism.

We received so many compliments on the food, the staff, and how beautiful the ballroom was. The team went above and beyond to accommodate our family members with mobility needs, providing ramps where needed and ensuring easy access to the upstairs suites.

Guests raved that it was one of the most fun and well-organized weddings they’d ever attended. We’re so grateful for the care and attention to detail — from décor and food sensitivities to packing up our items at the end of the night. It all felt effortless.

We also loved that Overhills handled both dinner and dessert — Lauren baked our sweetheart cake, and the venue provided our cupcakes — everything was absolutely delicious!

Every member of the team was kind and professional, and they made the day seamless from start to finish. Truly one of the best days of our lives. ❤️

We can’t say enough good things about Overhills! The venue itself was gorgeous and provided plenty of space and variety for all of our guests to enjoy, and the staff were pivotal in the success of the day! The planning staff the months and weeks before the wedding made the planning that would otherwise be a stressful and confusing process straightforward and fun, and they were extremely responsive and insightful in helping us with even the smallest details! And the day-of coordinators were amazing, friendly to us and all of our guests and truly made the day special. We really can’t recommend this venue and its staff enough!
