Maddie Garris, the lead event designer and organizer first began wedding planning with her mother’s wedding and then her own. Maddie realized she had a passion for the work, and decided to turn it into a full-time career. Since then she has helped many couples create their perfect days through detail-oriented planning. The Best Decision!!

We are so grateful to have had Maddie from DMV Weddings & Events as our day of coordinator! From the very beginning, she was incredibly kind, organized, and always open to my ideas and any changes I had along the way, which I truly appreciated.

Since I had not been to many weddings before planning my own, I really appreciated having her guidance when making decisions. She was always so patient, helpful, and generous with her time, and she made the planning process feel much easier.

On our wedding day, she made everything feel stress-free. She kept everything running smoothly, made sure we stayed on schedule, and handled everything behind the scenes so we could truly enjoy every moment. We cannot recommend Maddie and DMV Weddings & Events enough. Having her by our side on our wedding day was one of the best decisions we made, and we are so thankful for everything she did to make our day so special!

Maddie is amazing!

Working with Maddie (DMV Weddings and Events) was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding day. From our first conversation, we knew we had found someone special—she responded to every question and concern in a flash, and she was always thorough in making sure we understood every detail. On the day of our wedding, she was everywhere we needed her to be, checking in with my husband and me constantly to see what we required and what she could grab for us. She made certain everything unfolded exactly as we had planned it, which gave us the freedom to actually enjoy our celebration instead of worrying about logistics. Her professionalism and attention to detail felt irreplaceable, and honestly, we can't imagine having pulled off our day without her. We would recommend her without hesitation to any couple looking for a planner who truly cares about making their wedding special.

Wedding Coordinator

Maddie and her team were absolutely fantastic to work with! Having a day of coordinator took all of the stress off of myself and my husband and allowed us to fully enjoy our day. We were both a bit worried about logistics of the day with our venue layout and headcount, but Maddie's experience with the venue made everything a breeze. I cannot recommend her and her team enough. We would not have been able to pull it off without her!

Thank you, Maddie!

Maddie at DMV Weddings and Events was a big help making my husband's and my wedding go smoothly, even amidst the chaos of not one but TWO thunderstorms at an outdoor venue. She had everything set up for us while we got ready, and everything cleaned up for us and neatly stacked by the time the night was over. Thank you so much Maddie for all your help making our big day happen! We would have been a mess without you and we appreciate how on top of everything you were!

Attn brides: book this planner!

Literally, a dream team. Maddie, Nina, and Abby made all things wedding planning, coordinating, and executing so easy for me, my now husband, and our loved ones. I consider myself a decisive person but found myself unable to make decisions about the wedding, but Maddie swept in and handled everything so I had no worries. My day of point people ensured everything was taken care of, and pivoted quickly when we needed it. I was literally greeted at the venue with a drink and a smile! I will forever remember Maddie and her team as integral to my perfect wedding day. Hire this team!

Amazing experience

Maddie and her team made everything effortless and smooth. Starting from our month out meeting, she handled everything and was incredibly organized. I was blown away by the ability to make my vision come alive through the decorations and centerpieces. Everything was low stress and beautiful. I was even shocked at the speed at which the room was flipped and how they continued to assist throughout the night. 10/10 recommend.

Our wedding day at The Winslow

Maddie and her team are amazing! From the first conversation to the wedding day, I had nothing but a great experience getting to work with Maddie and her team. Maddie helped keep me organized (coming from a very stressed bride) and was there to help with the smallest details to timeline creation and keeping all of my vendors informed. I couldn’t have done it without her! Nina was our lead coordinator on the wedding day and she is the reason our day was absolutely perfect. Nina and her assist Rachel took care of everything from keeping the day on track to making sure decor was setup and having them allowed me to enjoy the day without an ounce of stress. I can’t recommend Maddie and her team enough and couldn’t imagine my wedding day without them! 12/10 recommend!

Amazing!!!

Maddie eliminated all of my anxiety the day of my wedding! We hired her for our 9/21/24 wedding as our day of coordinator and I cannot recommend her enough. Do yourself a favor and book her immediately! She did all of the setup and breakdown of our venue and ensured everything went according to plan. We would book her again in a heartbeat!

Thank you Maddie!

Maddie worked incredibly hard on our wedding day! We got married in September in Leesburg VA at a particularly large venue and on a very hot day! She and her assistants ran from one spot to another gathering items needed for detail photos and always looking to accommodate the needs of the myself as the bride and my now husband. Maddie paid close attention to detail as she and her team set up all our decor and kept us as close to our timeline as possible. She made the day stress free for us and even drove my uncle who is handicapped around in a golf cart all day. Thank you Maddie & your team for making our day perfect!

Highly Recommend DMV Weddings!

The team was incredible and pivotal to making our day run successfully. Maddie was so easy to work with and communicated so well and fast. She has such a great relationship with vendors in Frederick which made it so seamless. Rachel handled our wedding day of and she was awesome! She was so on top of everything which allowed my wedding day to be relaxing, fun, and stress free. We are so grateful for the team and couldn't be happier with the way our wedding turned out!
