Working with Maddie (DMV Weddings and Events) was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding day. From our first conversation, we knew we had found someone special—she responded to every question and concern in a flash, and she was always thorough in making sure we understood every detail. On the day of our wedding, she was everywhere we needed her to be, checking in with my husband and me constantly to see what we required and what she could grab for us. She made certain everything unfolded exactly as we had planned it, which gave us the freedom to actually enjoy our celebration instead of worrying about logistics. Her professionalism and attention to detail felt irreplaceable, and honestly, we can't imagine having pulled off our day without her. We would recommend her without hesitation to any couple looking for a planner who truly cares about making their wedding special. -

Maddie and her team were absolutely fantastic to work with! Having a day of coordinator took all of the stress off of myself and my husband and allowed us to fully enjoy our day. We were both a bit worried about logistics of the day with our venue layout and headcount, but Maddie's experience with the venue made everything a breeze. I cannot recommend her and her team enough. We would not have been able to pull it off without her! -

Maddie and her team made everything effortless and smooth. Starting from our month out meeting, she handled everything and was incredibly organized. I was blown away by the ability to make my vision come alive through the decorations and centerpieces. Everything was low stress and beautiful. I was even shocked at the speed at which the room was flipped and how they continued to assist throughout the night. 10/10 recommend. -

Maddie eliminated all of my anxiety the day of my wedding! We hired her for our 9/21/24 wedding as our day of coordinator and I cannot recommend her enough. Do yourself a favor and book her immediately! She did all of the setup and breakdown of our venue and ensured everything went according to plan. We would book her again in a heartbeat! -

Maddie worked incredibly hard on our wedding day! We got married in September in Leesburg VA at a particularly large venue and on a very hot day! She and her assistants ran from one spot to another gathering items needed for detail photos and always looking to accommodate the needs of the myself as the bride and my now husband. Maddie paid close attention to detail as she and her team set up all our decor and kept us as close to our timeline as possible. She made the day stress free for us and even drove my uncle who is handicapped around in a golf cart all day. Thank you Maddie & your team for making our day perfect! -

Maddie was a joy to work with, and we highly recommend her! She had an excellent working relationship with our caterers and communicated well with all vendors. She gave us invaluable vendor recommendations and kept us organized throughout the wedding planning process. On the day of, she was outstanding. Numerous wedding guests have told us how impressed they were that our wedding went so smoothly and was so well organized and executed. She was extremely responsive, had amazing suggestions, and is the reason we had the wedding of my dreams. It was raining day of, and it stopped about 10 minutes before the ceremony & she made sure that we were able to have it outside. She executed our wedding vision perfectly & we couldn’t have been happier. 100000/10 recommend!! -

Maddie and the crew at DMV weddings were amazing to work with. My wife and I couldn’t have been happier with how our wedding turned out, and we planned our wedding for over a year and put in a massive amount of effort on all fronts regarding logistics and vendors. Even with that advanced preparation, it would have been impossible to execute our wedding to expectations without a day-of coordinator. Maddie and team were the glue that kept everything together from start to finish on our wedding day.
Maddie is the consummate professional, and has pretty much seen it all. With that experience, the communication in advance will give her an idea of how to best manage your wedding and make it a “dream come true” experience. Additionally, she is quite flexible as it pertains to achieving a desired outcome, and she put it strenuous efforts to ensure our ceremony was in good order at our church, and that everything was ready to go at the different reception location.
My wife and I recommend having a day of coordinator in general, and once that decision has been made, we highly recommend using the services of DMV Weddings. Not only will they do an outstanding job, but they are comprised of great people who deeply care about your needs and will do whatever it takes to make your wedding the experience of a lifetime!

Where do I begin? Maddie and her Team were absolutely phenomenal. We couldn't have picked a more perfect wedding coordinator - she was cool, calm, and collected and always put our needs above her own. I am a super type A person and made a whole decor guide for Maddie and she brought my vision to life. I didn't have to worry about a single thing from set up to breakdown. During the entire night, she always made sure to ask if we needed anything and even played body guard during the reception to make sure we had enough time to eat before everybody rushed up to the sweetheart table to take pictures with us (thank god she did that!). We cannot recommend Maddie and her Team enough. We are sooo thankful for her! Run, do not walk, and book Maddie now if she has availability! -

We had such an amazing experience planning our wedding with Maddie at DMV Weddings & Events! We were originally thinking of just having a "Day Of Coordinator", but after meeting with Maddie, I'm so happy we went for the "Planning" selection. Maddie was very helpful, responsive, and organized throughout the planning stages! On the day of our wedding at Citizens Ballroom in Frederick, Maddie and her team were on top of everything! I am a "Type A" personality, and I did not worry about a thing on the wedding day! When we had a zipper issue with my second dress, it was all hands-on deck, including the great seamstress at Chapel & Court :)! Truly cannot say enough about how great it was working with Maddie. I look forward to having them help us in the future for event/party planning! -

Planning a wedding from states away was made easier with Maddie’s coordination. Her communication with myself and my vendors was paramount to the smooth operation day-of. Beyond her organization and execution skills, it was invaluable to have a coordinator familiar with the venue (Union Mills Public House) and most of our vendors. To my knowledge, everything went off without a hitch day-of, which is the best I could ask for out of a coordinator. We are so grateful for Maddie and her team! Highly recommend. -

When my daughter said we needed a day of wedding coordinator I thought, what do we need that for? Well, let me tell you, Maddie Garris and her team made the day perfect. She made sure everything ran smoothly, directed us to details we had never considered and assisted in every step of the day, right up until we packed up and went home. She even made sure I had a cocktail in my hand when things got really busy with family photos. Her attention to detail was superb. Best of all, I didn't have to worry about a thing on such a special day. I would highly recommend DMV Weddings and Events for your wedding. -

Amazing Experience!
I cannot say enough about Maddie and her team. During the planning process, Maddie was helpful and responsive with anything that was asked of her. She was also was a constant support to calm nerves and anxiety during the planning process; offering solutions to challenges faced, as well as an amazing DJ. Maddie was nine months pregnant and her little one was expected around the same time as my daughters wedding and ended up having to go on bedrest. Maddie continued to work with us throughout, and on the wedding day she sent her absolutely amazing team to make sure that there was not one hiccup in the day. They were incredibly kind, attentive, worked like nobody’s business and just bad-ass women who got the job done. There was not one thing that we needed that they did not attend to and make sure was completed. It is because of Maddie and her team that my daughter and I did not have to think or worry about any set up beforehand, the smoothness of the ceremony, any needs during the reception and clean up afterwards. Thank you, thank you, thank you Maddie and your amazing team! -

Maddie was our day of coordinator, and she went above and beyond to support our special day! We had a cocktail style reception in lieu of a traditional one (no formal seated dinner). She encouraged us to take time to eat a private dinner, just the two of us, to have a nice minute of reprieve. We were very grateful for that and appreciated it so much. It allowed us to breathe and enjoy a peaceful moment together. Maddie’s superb planning and coordination allowed us and our guests to enjoy every moment of the day. Maddie is an excellent communicator, has a positive attitude, responsive, and puts her clients minds at ease. We 100% recommend Maddie of DMV events! -

We booked Maddie about a year prior to our wedding. We had virtual meeting and we warned her it was going to be full blown DIY. We were getting our own furniture, building a bar, doing the decor ourselves, EVERYTHING. Without hesitation, Maddie was like "We've got this." Being a day of coordinator, she was actually in communication with us way before the day of. And the week before the wedding, the forecast was showing rain. It being a tough discussion, she knew it needed to happen and it honestly provided a lot of relief on our end knowing there was a plan in action. Luckily, it cleared up and was a beautiful sunny day!
We really put Maddie and her team to the test with a 20' Uhaul filled with furniture and decor and about 4 hours to put it all together. Side note : if you plan on doing this I highly recommend helping her out with a binder of pictures and plans, and also plan to play much deserved extra for her to hire a team to help.
Our wedding day was the best and most beautiful day of my life. It came together even more beautiful than I imagined.
I also have to mention somehow I forgot to bring a change of shoes. My feet started to hurt after the ceremony and Maddie gave me her own pair of flip flops to wear for the evening. If you've ever had sore feet in heels, you KNOW how much this means! -

If you are debating hiring a day of coordinator, stop and immediately book Maddie. I planned out my dream in the year leading up to my wedding, then week/day of Maddie brought it to life. I was able to relax and enjoy my day and everything just magically fell into place (or so it felt to me!). She was kind, professional, and attentive . 10/10 cannot recommend her strongly enough. I truly cannot say enough good things about Maddie. I had gone back and forth about hiring a coordinator, I was a big DIY bride, but after seeing her recommended many times by brides I realized that she was exactly what I needed. In our initial consult I felt like she knew exactly what I wanted without me even knowing the words half the time or how to express what I wanted. She provided a detailed timeline, came early, made sure everyone was where they were supposed to be, set up everything, brought me food during photos, continued to check on me throughout the night, helped bustle my dress, and so much more. Overall she made me feel secure like I didn’t have to think of a thing. All my other vendors even complimented how responsive she was. 10/10, 5 stars, you do need the wedding coordinator, and you need Maddie. -

Maddie was PHENOMENAL - from our introduction calls to planning calls to day of, she has made the process super easy and smooth for us (she helped me relax when I went on stress mode.) She is organized, detailed oriented, and professional. Seriously I cannot say enough things about her! Highest recommendation! Hiring Maddie as our day of coordinator was one of the best decisions we could have made. We truly could not have gotten through our day if it wasn’t for her. I gave her a rough idea of how I wanted our decor to look, put all of my trust in her, and she brought it all to life! Maddie was wonderful to work with. Having changed our wedding from international to local at the last minute due to COVID, we were extremely under pressure to pull something together in 90 days.
Maddie helped recommend numerous vendors and played a key role in orchestrating our big day. Maddie coordinated with our vendors, created a detailed timeline and was our go-to point person for all matters on the day of our wedding. She made sure things ran smoothly and helped to keep us out of the chaos so that we could enjoy our special day.
Maddie also met us at our apartment building to run a rehearsal the night before to ensure our wedding party was polished on the day of.
I would highly recommend Maddie and DMV Weddings to anyone looking for a coordinator! -

Maddie helped me with my dream wedding and it turned out great! She is easy to work with, very accommodating and always available whenever I have questions. She communicates with the vendors with all my questions and she's very patient with my last minute changes for my wedding. She have wedding decors for rent for a very cheap price and her very sweet friend Caroline made my beautiful wedding signs for a cheap price also. I really appreciate her being there on my wedding day, she just gave birth that month and I wasn't expecting her to come since she have someone assigned to cover her but I was surprised that she is there to make sure everything will be turn out fine and smooth.👍👍 -

Maddie is amazing!
At first I was hesitant to hire Maddie because I'm a major DIY type person. But after I realized I needed a helping hand I decided to hire Maddie (through word of mouth). I cannot tell others how happy I am with my decision. Maddie was amazing, she brought another helper and was able to communicate all details. She's a strong leader and was able to get the entire wedding party on task in order for things to run as smoothly as possible. I would recommend her to my dearest friends! -
