My husband and I had an amazing experience working with Dawn & Em of DM Events to plan our wedding. They are an incredible team - Dawn is a design guru and so helpful in coming up with your dream wedding vision, down to the tiny details, and Em is the most organized person and fastest responder I've ever met. They were on top of the process the whole way and kept us on track but not overwhelmed with monthly to do lists (note, this was extremely helpful - there are a million things that go into planning a wedding, and trying to think about / plan for / do all of them at the same time will make you very unhappy. Their expertise on what to handle early and what you can wait on was invaluable). They made the wedding planning process enjoyable and saved us so much time, often anticipating the questions we'd ask or the concerns we would have. Most importantly, we always knew that our wedding would be amazing because we were in such good, experienced, capable hands. Totally recommend!

We worked with Dawn and Em for our wedding and could not be happier. We reached out just after booking our venue, with only ~6-7 months before our wedding date. The timeline was tight, but Dawn and Em made the process feel entirely manageable. They listened + responded promptly to emails; had great suggestions for florists, party rentals, DJs, invites; followed up when necessary; anticipated problems and were beacons of calm and support on the day-of.

Their methodical, supportive, creative, and resourceful wedding planning allowed us to focus on celebrating our love--and not get bogged down by the small things--on our big day.

Working with Em and Dawn was easier than we could have ever imagined. They are very personable and it is very easy to connect with them, which was evident with our very first call with them. They were very organized and helped up stay on track for the wedding. They were very easy to get a hold of and responded very promptly to any questions that we had. They coordinated with all of our vendors and made sure the day of was running smoothly. They were always willing to go above and beyond; Em even tied my bow tie for me!!!

Dawn and Alex at DM Events are *rockstars*. We worked with them on full wedding planning and design for just under a year and the entire experience was wonderful. I always felt like we were organized, on track, in communication, and having fun!! Every vendor they recommended or helped vet was incredible. Our wedding vision and size changed quite a few times along the way and they just rolled with it and us in the best way. Our day was perfect and magical and at the end of it I left with a husband and two new friends in Dawn and Alex :)

DM Events planned our 200-person black tie wedding at Brooklyn Botanic Garden this fall. From the moment I first spoke to Dawn Goldsmith, I felt at ease. She is a true visionary and a powerhouse. Dawn kept not just me, but my husband, our families and our budget(!!), on track from our very first phone call to the end of the wedding night. She and her team are kind, thoughtful, sensitive to their clients’ preferences, and extremely responsive.

Putting aside all of the variable twists and turns that came with the era of COVID-weddings (which were navigated with ease), Dawn designed and planned an absolutely picture perfect event that exceeded all expectations. She has impeccable taste and a way of articulating and evolving my vision better than I could. Her design-minded approach is something that was really important to me when selecting a planner – no detail too small!

Regarding the day of, Dawn’s team is a well-oiled machine. If there were any hiccups (there weren’t), neither I nor my guests would have been any the wiser. It was smooth sailing. My family and I had guests approaching throughout the wedding, as well as a flood of texts and calls following the big day, saying things like “This is the nicest wedding I’ve ever been to” and “the quintessential New York City wedding”. Literally, the perfect day.

Dawn Goldsmith is a total pro and a blessing to work with.

We loved working with Dawn and her team. Having spoken with quite a few planners before we found Dawn, Dawn stood out as really having the whole package. First, she brings to the table top-notch organization, communication and planning skills—from the big picture to the smallest details (particularly important for us as our wedding was at home, so we had to bring in absolutely everything down to fancy porta potties!). She’s got a killer design sense and had an uncanny ability to grasp our vision and make it concrete; she really cared about making the wedding a personal reflection of us as a couple. She’s unfailingly professional and an oasis of calm. She’s very experienced and has great connections with a variety of vendors, all of whom were great. She was respectful of our budget. She’s also down to earth, easy-going and flexible, and just generally lovely and fun. She held our hands through what could have easily been a stressful process for my husband and me. The wedding day was everything we could have dreamed of, and more. A friend of mine summed it up best when she told me that she and her husband wish they could get married again so that they could work with Dawn! I could not recommend her more highly.

This company was awesome! Super professional, thorough, proactive, creative and fun to work with.

The COVID situation was totally unpredictable heading up to our October '21 wedding, and Dawn and her team kept my wife and I calm and informed. They are all world class communicators.

Their support and execution on the day of our wedding made us capable of focusing solely on having a great time.

It's hard to sum up just how amazing it was to work with Dawn and the entire DM Events & Design team. Throughout our wedding planning process, Dawn kept us on track, was exclusively kind, patient, and empathetic, and despite how jam packed the 2021 wedding season was for all wedding vendors, we always felt like a priority. When our wedding weekend was finally here, Dawn went above and beyond what I imagine is 'typical' for a wedding planner. She and her team handled EVERYTHING, and I mean everything, and we can't thank her and her team enough for alleviating any sort of stress that could have taken away from our special day. The DM Events & Design team drove to at least 10 different hotels across NYC and Brooklyn to deliver our welcome bags, which they also put together for us, and that's just one example. We trusted Dawn completely and boy, did she deliver! Working with DM Events & Design was hands down the best decision we made throughout our wedding journey. We would say weekly while planning that we would've been lost without Dawn, and it's so true! I would recommend DM Events to any couple without hesitation. Dawn's and her team's professionalism is unmatched and we're so grateful that they played such a huge role in the happiest day of our lives. I had the pleasure of working with Dawn to plan my wedding this past summer. Throughout the entire process she was right by my side and what I admired most was she was ALWAYS available and happy to help.
