John was so much more than a dj for us, he became a friend. He did everything from MC to dance classes. John met with us every month to go over everything and make sure it was perfect for us. John was hands down the best dj you are going to fine. He is professional, knowledgeable, and fun! He made our event so special and we are so grateful for him. He has all the equipment you need to give your wedding that wow factor. We are so happy we went with john and he would be the first vendor we would recommend from our wedding.

My husband and I love John and his family! He was incredible at our wedding. Not only that, he met with us every Sunday up until our wedding for a complimentary dance class. He taught us beautiful moves for our first dance. My husband and I are not dancers, by any means, and never would have danced before we met him. Now we want to go out and start dancing as a couple! He really became more like family than just someone we hired to do a job. He really got to know us well and I love that he loves what he does. He and his wife and kids are such great people whom we are so blessed to now know. He engaged the crowd so well at our wedding and I had several people come up to me after and let me know how much they enjoyed him.

John is not just a DJ, he really becomes part of the family. He spends a great deal of time getting to know the bride and the groom as well as family members. From the time he was the chosen one to be her wedding DJ, he has spent countless hours meeting with them regularly to go over every last detail and even though he has many clients, he makes you feel like your the only one. He truly wants every aspect of your wedding to be perfect! With all of his experience, he has so many great ideas and words of wisdom that one wouldn’t think of, “ah ha” moments if you would, and thankfully we took it all to heart!

My future son-in-law has always said he can’t dance. When he expressed an interest to learn for his wedding, John met with them on a regular basis and taught them some beautiful dance moves that literally made people cry when they had their first dance, it was absolutely beautiful.

Where do I begin in regard to flexibility? Due to COVID-19, my daughter’s wedding had to be postponed, and then three weeks before the day of, the venue in Seattle had to cancel. We had to move the venue to Kitsap County. This meant spending more time with the bride and groom as well as traveling much further than expected and he was right there every step of the way! The wedding was just two nights ago, and it was perfect!

Your personal playlist is his top priority. He also had several of fun surprises that everyone loved and really got the party started! My personal favorite was the shoe game, trust me on this one! Or rather, trust HIM because he knows what he’s doing! He’s very in tune with the guests throughout so he can gauge how to keep things flowing in the right direction. My daughter and her now husband put their faith in him and he did not disappoint! As a matter of fact, they have plans of meeting in the near future as John was not only their DJ, but he’s become a big brother to them as well.

The wedding reception was ridiculously fun and it was hard to find room on the dance floor! Feel free to hire any DJ you want, but if you want a truly great experience, this is the one, hands down!!!

DJ Mercer did a great job at a wedding where I was the photographer in Buena Vista, Colorado. He was very professional, experienced, and really got the crowd going and up on the dance floor. He kept the reception on track and flowing smoothly. Would definitely recommend!

We have used John (DJMercer) twice, 1st for my daughters wedding and again for my granddaughters. Both were very different weddings with different types of music and entertainment desired. John was able to accommodate both their wishes for their receptions and in our granddaughters wedding the music for the ceremony. There was never a lapse in the receptions as if he noted things waning, he would get people involved and active again. He listened to all their wishes and took time to get to know them to make their days perfect. In all aspects he went out of his way to make their days exceptional. For our granddaughters wedding, when we contacted him he agreed to do the service even though it would be a little more expensive than competing vendors because he had to drive. He even told us average cost of vendors in our area. We later found out he was driving half way across the US. Irregardless the cost his services were worth every cent and a bargain considering the drive. I would have no reservations about utilizing his services again nor in recommending him for any type of event. He far exceeds any DJ's I have used or seen at other events. I wish I could give him a 10 star rating. Having DJ Mercer at your event is...Priceless. We consider him not just a DJ but a friend.

2 years ago John was my wedding DJ and did amazing, so when my daughter got married last week we knew who we wanted. However we did not know he had moved. Sure we could have found someone closer and saved some money...but we knew John was worth it. Thankfully John agreed to do the wedding even though we were 20 hours & a 2 days drive away. All he asked for in addition to his fee was a place to sleep for the night.
He was so appreciative when we surprised him with a 2nd night after all he did just drive 2 days to get here. As for a DJ... once again we were not disappointed.
Prior to wedding there was a 3 way conference call between myself, my daughter & John. We worked out all the details. One the days finally came around, John was in communication with is rhe whole way. Once he arrived he verified everything was correct & made any last minute changes we wanted.
At the reception he was amazing. He interacted with everyone. He can read the crowd & quickly learns to play off them. We told him anything goes & he ran worn it. Many times he had us rolling in laughter. He even got out on the dance floor to teach a dance. We had a very small reception (about 40 people) but you would have thought we had 1000. There was never a dull moment. Everyone had a great time. I would recommend him 100 times over.

We hired John to be our DJ for our wedding and he was amazing! John went above and beyond what was expected of him and was able to keep our stress to a minimum. John offers so much more than just a DJ service, his years of experience working weddings really showed with his knowledge and ability to help us be prepared for what to expect on our big day. John met with us multiple times throughout the planning process, and made sure he really got to know who we were and what we wanted our wedding to feel like.

John is also an excellent ballroom dance teacher. He knows many different dance styles and it was a lot of fun having him teach us moves to use during our first dance. We were even able to break out some moves throughout the whole night! We were a little shy about doing dance classes with John at first but he was able to make us feel at ease and create a fun environment. He is great to work with, full of energy and very easy going!

Everything went great the day of the wedding and everyone had a blast dancing all night! John even came out from behind the booth to teach our friends and family some fun line dances. Everyone loved the music and energy, and it was a fantastic day!

My wedding was yesterday and I CANNOT sat thank you enough! John went above and beyond my expectations. Music was fantastic, and the fact that he was able to get my now husband to slow dance for our first dance was fantastic! It was always fun having him around for the lessons. He’s punctual and very professional. I cannot say enough! Thank you for everything!!

DJ Mercer was fabulous. Highly recommend him for any occasion. I was at the Gade wedding today and he made sure everything went smoothly. From the wedding ceremony music to the full reception and even gave us ballroom dance lessons! I cannot say enough good things about him!

We had a great experience with John. He showed up early to make sure everything was set up on time, he brought his own equipment even though we mentioned the venue had a built in sound system (and his equipment sounded great!), and set up uplighting and dance floor lights as well. Throughout the night, he doubled as an MC and DJ, and kept our wedding on track even though we had a very tight timeline. If you are on the fence about hiring an MC/DJ, I would highly recommend going for it - your wedding will fly by and having someone dedicated to keeping the schedule and making sure guests are aware of what is going on was wonderful. John was very friendly and did a great job playing things by ear, pulling in family and friends for activities to keep things exciting. He was interactive and even danced with my mom! Leading up to the wedding, he was very responsive and met with us the week of to make sure we were all on the same page. Overall, we had a great experience with John and would high recommend him.
