He took so much time before the wedding to understand what vibe we wanted at every stage, songs we definitely did or did not want played, and how the evening should flow. He was super helpful in giving us recommendations as well. Everything went so smoothly and the music set the perfect tone throughout the night. We had a smaller wedding at Humphrey’s by the Bay with only 35 guests and at first we didn’t plan to hire a DJ. We are so glad that we changed our mind and hired Justin! Even with a smaller group there were so many logistics he handled that we hadn’t even thought about, and it made the day run so smoothly. We loved getting to choose favorite songs for him to play at key moments through the ceremony and reception, and he did a great job of mixing in a little of everything to get our guests dancing. It’s been about 6 weeks and one of our favorite things has been hearing songs that bring us right back to memories of that night. We interviewed a few DJs, and after meeting Justin it was an easy decision. It was very clear he would be the most organized and professional. Hiring a DJ ended up being completely worth it, and we’d definitely recommend him to others!

Justin was absolutely amazing! I cannot recommend him enough. I was the first of my close friends and family to get married- I knew how I wanted the wedding to feel, but had no idea how to execute it. From the moment I met with Justin he was organized and detail oriented. He did way more than “just” DJ the wedding. He met with us at our venue prior to the wedding to coordinate the timeline and set up for the day of. For this reason, the flow from prior to the ceremony all the way through to the end of the night was perfect.

Our wedding was an absolute party and everyone had so much fun. Justin knew exactly how to keep everyone excited and the dance floor going. DJ Kanoya genuinely cares about the couples he works with and is amazing at what he does. I will forever recommend him to anyone and everyone!

DJ kanoya went above and beyond for our wedding. He was incredibly professional from the start, gave us an app that we could add in music for every part of our wedding day. Apart from the dancefloor, which was awesome and a great mix of old and new music for all ages of guests, he also killed it with our dinner playlist and cocktail hour. We had multiple guests come up to us afterwards and in the moment telling us how great our DJ was. He also helped to coordinate the ceremony, which was above and beyond because we had a live musician for that. Book him for your wedding!

I had to put a lot of faith in our venders as we were planning this wedding from across the country! All we had were reviews website and the wonderful customer service he provided! DJ Kanoya always puts a smile on my face with his mixes and gets a crowd moving with his ability to read the room & vibes for any event. Our wedding would not have been complete without his professional services as emcee and DJ at our banquet. He was able to guide us the months leading up to the event and listened to what we hoped to achieve in our wedding banquet in LA. We had a Ghibli themed wedding so we provided the grand entrance music + first dance song, then let him know we wanted to end the night with everyone up on the dance floor. He's based in SD but can also travel to other areas of So Cal! Highly recommend 🎶

From start to finish Justin was communicative, responsive to emails, and hopped on several calls with us to walk us through the process of what the wedding day would look like. He assisted our live musician with hookups, he worked with our day-of coordinator to ensure a smooth process, and made us feel at ease. He uses an app called Vibo to make the process easy - you can select the music you want for your first dances, dinner music, open dancing, and even “do not plays,” to make sure he knows your style. Plus, he kept the dance floor packed, which is what we wanted! We would certainly recommend Justin to others!

Justin truly was the best DJ we could ask for. My husband and I live out of state so we started the planning process pretty early, and Justin was there every step of the way. He reached out to us and coordinated effortlessly with our wedding planner as well. Was super patient with us when we weren’t exactly sure what we wanted.
