I brought my bridesmaid dress there 1 week before the wedding and the entire dress needed to be altered which was a big task--the straps needed to be adjusted, the side panels brought in, the 3 layered skirt detached and shortened...I was told not to worry, that it would be ready in a few days, no problem. She did it with days to spare and it fit perfectly. Furthermore, the price was a fraction of what the other bridesmaids paid elsewhere and the work was far superior to what was done to their dresses.

Does not listen to client
If your the kind of guy that doesn’t care if your pants are hemmed by just cutting a straight line at the bottom or just taking out the waist without it being measured then this establishment is for you. If you have anything custom you need done then move on to another establishment.. the tailor did not listen to what I was saying and quickly looked at my pants and altered them. Instead of letting g them out they tightened the waist and didn’t follow the line along the leg to taper. They corrected the issue but could only let the pants out so much since they already cut the fabric.. moves to fast and does not take the time to actually measure.. I guess they’re too busy with weddings and dresses. I had a bad feeling when I walked in and should’ve listened to my instincts.

I have been going to Connie's tailoring for many years, when Connie herself owned the shop. My review would have been so different had that still been the case. My entire bridal party used Connie's to get their dresses altered for my wedding. Before even purchasing my dresses, I came to talk to the owner about what I wanted done for the dresses. All of my bridesmaid's bought their dresses and we took them to her shop. Then, the owner told me that my change to the dress could not be done. I was livid, but I wasn't about to have all of my bridesmaids buy a new dress, so we dealt with it. Then, she overcharged ALL of my bridesmaids except my sister who was with me when she went to pick up her dress. Luckily so was able to take the cost off of my alterations and then I reimbursed all of my bridesmaids. When it came to doing the alterations for my dress (which had already been started be the whole bridesmaid dress fiasco) things were no better. I originally brought my dress to Connie's 2 months before my wedding. All she had to do was add the straps that I had bought with my dress, and to fix the panel in the back. She told me my dress would be ready in 2 weeks. When I came back in, there was ink ALL over the panel of my dress and the panel was pinned on. She had also not even sewn the straps on yet. I was VERY upset. She told me the dress would be ready in two weeks. Again, I stupidly waited. I called before going in to check on my dress, still NOT ready. Then, 2 weeks before my wedding I go back to pick up my dress. But, guess what??? She sewed the straps on crooked. I could not pick up my dress AGAIN! Finally, the week before my wedding, I tried my dress on and it was finally perfect. She charged me a ridiculous $180 and was not flexible in her price, even though she had messed it up that many times. I will not be going back to Connie's for anything.
