On WeddingWire since 2012
Situated in Elkin, North Carolina, Coley Hall at The Liberty began as a run-down century old Tobacco Warehouse. After being purchased by Elkin native Cicely McCulloch, the space was transformed into a beautiful wedding venue. However, one cannot help but notice the space’s rich history. With an industrial feel, century-old exposed beams overhead, weathered wood, and distressed brick, it’s the definition of rustic elegance and can be tailor-made to fit any style. Keep things simple by utilizing the existing beauty of the space, or dress it up with elegant sheer fabrics draped overhead. Even if you are not DIY savvy, our staff is here to provide inspiration to ensure your vision comes to life!
This venue is an hour drive from Charlotte, NC and about two hours and 10 minutes away from the Raleigh-Durham International Airport.
Facilities and Capacity
The Liberty has three different venues: Coley Hall, The Courtyard at Coley Hall, and The Roth Room.
Coley Hall, the largest space, has space for 500 wedding guests. Guests will be greeted by a beautiful front facade with a sweeping grand staircase. This wrought-iron staircase is perfect for ceremonies, wedding portraits, or grand exits. Inside, couples can marry in front of grand wooden doors with shining glass windows. For receptions, this venue is quickly flipped by our staff into a dining area and dancefloor. The exposed brick walls inside stretch two stories high and feature windows looking onto historic downtown Elkin. The beams running overhead can be draped with market lights that reflect off the windows, fabric decor, flower arrangements, and more.
Our outdoor space, The Courtyard at Coley Hall, features space for up to 200 guests. Nestled between two historic buildings in downtown Elkin, this space features a beautiful stone walkway, exposed brick, and a cobblestone aisle that makes for a beautiful and intimate outdoor ceremony. Like Coley Hall, this space is a blank canvas for the wedding party. There is ample space for you to transform the space to your liking.
Our third space, The Roth Room, is a smaller banquet room built for intimate gatherings. With space for up to 50 guests, this is the perfect space for smaller gatherings of any type. The space features exposed brick and banquet-style tables that make a beautiful backdrop for any event.
This banquet hall’s customizable packages allow couples to work with expert staff to create the perfect day. This venue’s staff assists with event planning before the wedding arrives and helps couples with setup and cleanup on the big day. Other services offered by this venue include:
