Sarah and her assistant were amazing! They were incredibly fun to work with, which is good because I was pretty close to freaking out for a lot of the day. They stayed right on top of the schedule and kept things moving - made sure to get pictures of everything we asked for too!

The pictures themselves were incredible. We got a digital delivery in under a month and everything looked amazing. The colors were great and consistent throughout the day - even in many different lighting situations. Lots of great candid shots of guests having fun, smiling, and laughing. The detail shots were great and should help us remember a lot of the day that we'd probably forget otherwise. Looking through the album was basically like re-living the day.

There were so many small things that made Sarah great to work with. My (now wife!) and I met with her about two weeks before the wedding and we were under a lot of stress. She sent us a gift card a few days later to a local food place and told us to go have a relaxing date night and not talk about the wedding! Despite being based in Winston-Salem, she showed up to our Raleigh wedding at 7am (11am ceremony) and was ready to go.

Sarah was the perfect photographer for our engagement and wedding photos! Before signing our contract, I spoke with Sarah on the phone and she completely put me at ease. She asked very thoughtful questions about how we envisioned our day, suggested ideas I hadn’t thought of, and was the epitome of calm cool and relaxed. A few months later, we finally met for our engagement shoot! My then-fiancé and I were very nervous and a little awkward, but Sarah helped us relax, laugh, and have a great time. I couldn’t believe how beautiful the engagement photos turned out! The photos looked very natural and “us” – which was perfect, as I had been worried about having to do cliched poses.

On our wedding day, Sarah and her second photographer (her wonderful husband, Nate) arrived right on time. Though the hours leading up to our wedding were a bit of a nightmare logistically due to problems with other vendors, Sarah was incredibly calm and thoughtful, offering to do anything she could to make our day go smoothly. We were able to knock out all of our pre-ceremony shots very quickly, leaving only a small set to do after our ceremony. Throughout the ceremony and reception, Sarah and Nate snapped pictures of us, our guests, and the decorations, but they were never intrusive.

What I love about Sarah’s style is that she captures candid, real moments, in addition to beautiful, more formal shots. She is wonderful at making you and your wedding party feel at ease, while also staying on schedule. I am so happy that Sarah did us the honor of photographing our engagement pictures and wedding day. She shared a few preview pictures with us recently and they were even lovelier than I could have hoped for. I simply cannot wait to see all the rest. Sarah was wonderful! From the initial meeting to the sweet hand written notes we received from her before and after our wedding, she was nothing short of professional with lots of personal touches!
