Club Del Monte a delightful wedding venue located in Monterey, California. Couples and their guests will be able to enjoy 25 acres of beautiful land that boasts oak, cypress, and pine trees. The original Hotel Del Monte, built in 1880, was destroyed by fire on two occasions. The rebuilt establishment now features a Spanish-Moorish aesthetic, an ode to its 1926 restoration. In 1951 it was rebranded from a hotel into a Naval postgraduate school. When couples and their guests set foot on this property, they are able to immerse themselves in traditions that span back through many decades. Notable guests of the club include presidents, military personnel, and noble members of society. The staff at this hotel are dedicated to making events special and unique for all. Hugh Butler, their executive chef, carefully curates each meal to make sure that it meets even the highest standards.

We had our reception in the Barbara McNitt Ballroom and it was an amazing, historic venue. I could not have imagined our wedding anywhere else. The location or gorgeous - elegant and old fashioned. We visited other venues that felt cramped with no windows that made you feel like you were in a cave. The ballroom has tall windows overlooking a courtyard. It was reasonably priced back in 2004 compared to many other venues in the area.Sent on 11/20/2008

We love military weddings and know this local very well. To our troops, we salute you.
We absolutely LOVE doing events at Club Del Monte at the Naval Postgraduate School. There is no finer ballroom on the peninsula with so much history and I just love sharing the history of the venue whenever introducing my couples to the site. Melanie and the rest of the staff at NPS are an absolute pleasure to work with and really understand the TEAM concept of creating an dream event for civilians and dignitaries alike. The food is beyond what most would expect from a military installment with Cordon Bleu trained Chef Hugh Butler at the helm. Overall, one of out favorite places to be on a Saturday night!
