I had the pleasure of having Alena as my bridal hair and makeup artist for the day. From our first meeting at my hair and makeup trial, we immediately hit it off. She is such a sweet and uplifting presence and made me feel super comfortable and heard. I didn’t have a super clear idea on what hairstyle I wanted, so I showed her a few inspo pics and trusted her judgement to try a style that she thought would suit based off what I showed her. We ended up with a low bun that we added some texture to after trying some options. I originally wanted more of a glowy and orangey toned makeup look but after seeing it on me, I decided to go more rosy. I also gave her feedback that I had more oily skin and that not being overly shiny was a concern for me. On the day of, she had careful notes of all the small changes we discussed so I felt at ease knowing that I could just sit in the chair and not worry about a thing. It all came out so perfect, and my sister even said I looked better than I did on my trial day. I was concerned with my hair falling out of the bun since it is very long, but everything held up incredibly well. I only needed to touchup my concealer because I cried so much but luckily she gave me a nice touchup kit to use 😊

We also had Beligma help with makeup for the girls in the wedding party while Alena did their hair. Beligma was also great to work with. My mom is very particular as she’s had poor experiences in the past with getting her hair and makeup professionally done, but she was super happy with how she looked.

My sister had her hair done first, and it did end up falling a few hours later since it notoriously does not hold a curl well. So Alena went through the trouble of re-curling her at the end and putting extra product to ensure it would last the night (which it did!).

Shoutout to Kate as well who handled communications and was extremely prompt in responding, and very friendly and helpful with questions.

Alena was an absolute dream to work with! She did my makeup and hair for my rehearsal dinner as well as my hair for the day of the wedding but to be honest, I wish she did my makeup as well on my wedding day (but I had already locked in a vendor). I am very picky with my hair and makeup - I wanted to look like myself but still wanted it to show up nicely in pics which can be a challenging balance but she absolutely nailed it. She made me feel so beautiful and is the absolute sweetest! SO SO talented at what she does - I 10/10 would recommend her to anyone!

I cannot say enough amazing things about Alena and the CEO Beauty team! My wedding was in October, and I worked with Alena and Yulia, who were both absolutely fantastic. From the very beginning, the CEO Beauty team was incredibly responsive, professional, and easy to communicate with, which made the entire planning process feel so much less stressful.

On the wedding day itself, they were true pros — calm, organized, and somehow able to keep everyone moving on schedule without it ever feeling rushed. They handled the timeline flawlessly and made the morning feel fun and relaxed.

Most importantly, I’ve honestly never looked better. My hair and makeup were flawless, photographed beautifully, and lasted all day and night. I felt like the best version of myself, which is exactly what you want on your wedding day.

Alena did a fantastic job with my make up and my hair. I still looked like me but it just more refined. She also has experience working with East/Southeast Asian brides, which was important to me. Her work held up the whole day from morning to evening in 90 degree humid weather. I also liked that she listened to what I wanted and was willing to make adjustments based on my likes.

My family is EXTREMELY particular of a lot of MUA/Hairstylists and they LOVED my wedding look. The look worked for my civil ceremony, my tea ceremony outfit, and my post wedding party celebrations. A friend even asked me for a referral so they can recommend Alena to others or for herself for headshots (I think Alena only does bridal looks). I highly recommend doing a trial especially if you have multiple looks. My only regret is that I should have asked for a half day or full day package just for touch ups to adjust to the hot temperature or if I decided last minute that I wanted to change up hairstyles.

I found Alena through a friend of mine who will be using her for wedding hair, and I am so glad I did. I had previously hired another hair artist, but after my trial I decided to go in a different direction. From the moment I connected with Alena, I knew I made the right choice.

We communicated back and forth several times, and Alena was always extremely responsive, helpful, and honest. She even suggested ordering hair extensions from Amazon, which saved me a couple hundred dollars especially important knowing my hair doesn’t hold a curl well and needs extra texture. That level of thoughtfulness really stood out to me.

I ended up doing my trial with Alena for my rehearsal dinner. We chose the look together and then switched it up into a bun with a French twist. I don’t typically wear updos, but Alena assured me it could be done and she absolutely nailed it. Her studio is conveniently located in Midtown Manhattan, which made things so much easier as a Manhattan bride.

After both my trial and rehearsal dinner, people immediately started asking for Alena’s contact information. Then came the wedding day… and wow. Alena somehow achieved the most luscious, soft Hollywood waves on my hair, which never holds a curl. I honestly wish I could have her do my hair every day.

Alena also did my sister’s and my mom’s hair, and each of them said it was the best their hair has ever looked. Beyond her incredible talent, Alena is also so easy to talk to and genuinely fun to be around, which makes spending hours getting ready even better.

I cannot recommend Alena enough for bridal hair. She is truly amazing and she also does makeup! If you’re considering booking her, do it. You won’t regret it.

Absolutely amazing team! Alena, Svitlana & Julia did hair and makeup for my bridesmaids on my wedding day, and everyone looked stunning. They were on time, professional, so sweet, and made the whole morning feel calm and fun. The girls’ glam lasted all day and photographed beautifully. Alena did my hair and makeup for my wedding day, and I was left speechless. She is so talented and exceeded all expectations. Picking out an MUA was one of the aspects of wedding planning I felt the most nervous about. I’m not someone who wears much makeup on a regular basis, so I wanted to find someone who could still make me feel like myself, just a slightly more elevated/glammed up version for the big day and Alena truly delivered on this!

I truly felt my most beautiful on my wedding day, and I know my sister, mom and mother-in-law felt the same. We had some changes we wanted to make after the trial, and Alena took detailed notes and had multiple different suggestions which was really helpful. She is a lovely person first and foremost and very easy to talk to, especially for our moms, who were shy as English is not their first language. We were all impressed with how thorough, efficient, and detail-oriented Alena is. She has an incredibly lovely artistic eye and that was evident in the way she was able to highlight everyone’s natural beauty. She is also a perfectionist and stayed a little extra to help me put in traditional Chinese hair accessories, and take them out, as well as do some last minute touch-ups. Touch-up kit was also very nice to have but tbh I didn’t need it as my makeup wore beautifully for >12 hours! Julia also did an amazing job on my mom, mother-in-law, and bridesmaids’ hair, which lasted the whole night beautifully. I think so many parts of the wedding process can be stressful, but making sure you look/feel amazing and in the hands of a true professional really helps you feel your best. I would recommend her in a heartbeat to anyone who is looking for a bridal MUA.

I am so glad I went with CEO beauty for my wedding day hair and makeup! Alena was incredible - I absolutely loved the way my HMU turned out, and it lasted the whole night through lots of happy tears and dancing. The whole team was super flexible and was able to accomodate last minute requests, such as adding on additional hours for touchups and all. All my bridesmaids also loved their hair and makeup - I seriously cant thank the CEO beauty team enough!!
