Recently my husband and I got married in the Manayunk area of Philadelphia and we had the pleasure of having Catering by Mario’s prepare the food for our cocktail party and wedding reception. Catering by Mario’s was first recommended to us by our wedding coordinator at Platform Thirty* and after reading the positive reviews online, we reached out and set up a tasting at their Philadelphia location. My husband and I were then introduced to our contact, Lauren Rosina, who escorted us to a private, candle lit table with linen. Lauren is hospitable, professional and positively accommodating, as I am gluten-free. We made our final selections for the wedding. Everything we ate was delicious.
On the night of our wedding, the food was just as good if not better than at our tasting. The hors d'oeuvres at our cocktail hour were plentiful. The antipasto, mini cheesesteaks and brie & pear on filo appetizers were crowd favorites - not to mention how much I appreciated a display of fruit, cheese and crackers that were gluten free and separated. When it was time for the sit-down dinner, the entrees came out promptly; service was engaging and attentive. Our entrees were beautifully plated, each one topped with an individual orchid. Our guests raved about the quality of the Steak Au Poivre and the Pecan Chicken with Port Wine Chutney. Later we enjoyed Viennese desserts with coffee and tea. My husband and I were extremely pleased. We highly recommend Catering by Mario’s for your special event.

Catering by Mario's was absolutely fabulous from start to finish! Our guests are raving about their experience, especially cocktail hour hor dourves. Patti responded to all our emails within 15 minutes or less (yes, no exaggeration). Working with her was professional and punctual yet so much fun. She eased so many of my anxieties and I truly trusted her because she knows what she is doing. Her recommendations were perfect and she did excellent day of. Lauren and staff were also excellent. Don't look any further, book catering by Mario (& the Emerald Room). You will feel valued and they will exceed your expectations!
