I had a stellar experience with Asa, from the planning, to coordinating on the day of for the surprise proposal, to the incredible quality of the photos, to the speedy communication afterward. He was amazing! I proposed in the evening which made the photography setup tricky, but Asa made it happen! My fiance and I could not be happier and could not recommend him more.

Asa was the perfect wedding photographer. He was professional and passionate about photography, with the gear necessary to shoot both our outside wedding and a nighttime reception in a FULLY GLASS building! Originally we were very worried this was going to cause major glare issues-- but Asa handled it with ease and there were no issues at all! Asa was easy to work with-- he responded to emails very promptly, answered all of our questions, came to our walkthrough to help us scout out locations and was extremely helpful in pointing out small details I would have missed. He did an excellent job balancing our desire for beautiful photos and the fact that my husband and I do not typically love having our photo taken., and he made us both feel extremely comfortable and taken care of! Asa's portrait photos and more documentary photos were both amazing, but we loved that he was a mostly documentary-style photographer that captured the genuine and candid moments of every part of our wedding. He did convince us to do a small shoot at sunset (he was very flexible on doing this longer or shorter, to our comfort level on stepping away, and timed it perfectly), and they are some of my favorite photos of us from the wedding! Even though we were running behind schedule and had not booked Asa for the full reception, he was able to capture all aspects of the wedding, including the cake cutting which was way later than expected. In doing cost comparisons for the DC area, we found that Asa had very budget friendly options available. He also returned our photos really quickly. We could not recommend him more highly for any couple getting married!

Amazingly talented photographer, committed to getting you the best shot possible, and willing to break the rules and get dirty for the shot. Asa gives you amazing pose prompts and guides you through the whole process. The photographs look fabulous, and he always makes sure you are heard on your ideas!

Asa took our engagement photos in March 2024 and photographed our wedding day in May 2025. I cannot recommend him enough. He was very responsive to any questions I had leading up until our wedding day and helped things move smoothly on the day of. We had a large wedding party and Asa did a great job of giving everyone direction and helped us get through all of the photos as quickly as possible. I not only love all of our formal photos but also love how he captured many candid moments. We cannot wait to use Asa for family portraits down the line.

We are so glad we booked Asa to shoot our wedding. He was professional, responsive and flexible. He is able to offer solutions when schedules inevitably change day of and is able to de-escalate on what can sometimes be a very stressful day. We received multiple comments from guests complimenting him and second shooter David clearly putting in the work, whether it be getting on the floor to get the shot or running ahead of us down a very long aisle. I’m SO happy that I chose Asa as my wedding photographer. He was extremely responsive during the entire planning process, and was very helpful in setting my wedding timeline.
