A huge headache from start to finish! The food was good for the most part, few things undercooked. service was BAD and on top of that amount was significantly less than we agreed. I told him to provide food for 180 ppl on the second day, he had enough for 120. Last minute, he decided it is too expensive for him to come out to my city twice - 2 hrs away so he dumped the responsibility of serving the food on the second night on me when my aunts stepped in. Responsiveness, continuously making a stink coz the stove in the venue wasnt cooking things fast enough for him when he originally told me he isnt going to cook anything just warm up things, that all will have been cooked by the time he comes to the venue. so I, in the middle of my photo session, had to go pay a restaurant infront of my venue to rent their stove and counter for 2 hours paid full amount to get a fast decsion from the resto owner, dude goes to the restaurant and says I cant work from here because there are stairs and I wont carry food up and down. This is just one flight of stairs and that restaurant works like that EVERYDAY. and came back to the venue kitchen. In a matter of 15 minutes, I lost 100 dollars because resto owner wouldnt pay me everything back!! Gave him two stars for responsiveness because he fixed the request of the venue to have 5mil dollar insurance thru his broker. The owner, who is a nice humble guy worked with my husband to fix this. But the restaurant manager was just the rudest guy I ever met which is the other thing I couldnt stand, just couldnt stand, was the lack of professionalism. This caterer talks to my aunts who are trying to help like they were kids. This is a serious rudeness especially in my culture. He told one of my aunts, that he is going to leave everything as is and that 'he doesnt care!' so my aunts had to clean up and pack up when we agreed he should put the amount I need for my second day event in a container frozen and hand it to my aunt who was coordinating it BEFORE the beginning of the first day dinner. Value of cost:NONE. I love Ethiopian food let alone for my wedding day, everyday I wanna have some. But if I knew it was going to be this much of a headache and messing my schedule for other things, I woulda let it go without a blink and ate pasta or chicken who cares! Thanks to this caterer, I have very few pictures with my bridesmaids who were also trying to fix stuff, negotiate with him to work with what is in the kitchen....my God, I should stop reviewing him now. Flexibility: enough said!
