Due to COVID-19 our planning with Blue Lotus was extended and they were extremely helpful along the way by helping us work around a postponed wedding date, vendor closures, and last minute emergencies. Our wedding was a multi-day multicultural wedding and they helped ensure every event was planned just how we wanted it. They are very well-connected in the wedding industry, so Neha and her team had plenty of recommendations and suggestions along the way, but they always made sure not to dissuade us from our vision for each event. While there were many vendors we wanted to work with that Blue Lotus Insights was familiar with, there were also quite a few we specifically wanted that were new to them, but the team was very open to each one and took care of everything. Neha and Courtney kept us on track throughout the entire planning process and Courtney made sure that everything was completing leading up to our wedding events. Courtney individually checked in with each vendor throughout the process and ensured that everything would run smoothly. The week of our wedding we had several issues arise. First, our Priest got COVID-19. Neha was quick to call many priests and let us know who our options were. Second, we had two different vendors surprise us with price increases or additional items. Neha and Courtney spent countless hours on the phone with each vendor working out details and securing the original contracted prices without impacting our events. The BLI team organized monthly and weekly meetings and were always available if we had a question for them or if a new idea popped into our minds. We have received many, many compliments on the execution of our events from many guests and we truly owe that to the BLI team! On the day of the events we (the bride and groom) and our families were very relaxed as we knew that the BLI team had everything under control. The timelines are incredible and they truly know how to make the events run smoothly. Hiring Blue Lotus Insights to plan + design your event is the best decision you will make! Neha and her team came all the way out to Porterville, CA and transformed my parent's home for my engagement ceremony + party.

Neha drove several hours for multiple site visits/walkthroughs and had so many ideas on how to utilize the space. She coordinated all of the vendors seamlessly despite working with most of them for the first time as they were local to the Central Valley. She and her team even helped us find a valet parking vendor after the one we had booked cancelled just days before the event! She handled all of the rentals (chairs, tables, bars, lounge furniture, vendor tents, tableclothes, plateware, glassware), built a beautiful wooden ceremony stage, and helped with the overall styling of all the decor. This is all on top of the planning and day of coordination!

Planning a destination wedding from afar is not an easy task, but having Neha and Amanda by our side made that task a breeze. Their experience, professionalism, patience, hard work (and friendship!) throughout the process allowed us to have the wedding of our dreams.

Neha quickly responded to our initial inquiry and made time to meet us at the last minute on a weekend we were in California looking at venues. From the moment we met her, it felt like we were reunited with an old family friend. It quickly became clear that she was very experienced in Indian weddings and knew how to maintain the most intimate and special details of an Indian wedding for couples and their families. She made the design process simple, allowing us to focus on our vision and the fun details, while she took care of the background work needed to make that vision come to life. She worked with us through numerous design changes, giving us reality checks when needed and offering opinions as an experienced professional where we should splurge and where we could save.

Seeing how these two worked together as a team was an absolute pleasure. They were committed to understanding our vision and remained so patient, even when that changed many times! They recommended vendors accordingly, made negotiating contracts a breeze and were always willing to go above and beyond to help however they could. As other reviews have mentioned, every vendor we spoke with, whether they had worked with BLI in the past or not, had nothing but wonderful things to say about them.

Throughout the planning process, Amanda and Neha made us feel like we were their only clients. They never took long to respond to a text, a phone call or an email, no matter the time of night. Despite the 3 hour time difference and our busy schedules, they always found time for our planning calls and were flexible when we had to change timings at the last minute.

Neha and Amanda played a pivotal role in making our wedding weekend as amazing as it was. We (the bride and groom) reached California just a day before our events began, but rarely felt stressed the whole weekend. We absolutely needed a wedding coordinator because we were planning a long distance wedding. We live in NY and our wedding was in Newport Beach, California. We were recommended by a family friend to use Neha and Blue Lotus Insights to help us plan our wedding. We can honestly say that it was the best decision we made. And Neha's team did it beautifully too! We were married at the Vibiana in DownTown LA. It was an amazing setting, but somewhat of a blank slate. Blue Lotus created an ambiance that suited us perfectly, which was a great accomplishment given that we didn't have a clear idea of what we wanted when we started planning. When we walked into the hall before the reception, we were blown away by how breathtaking everything looked!

It was a perfect day to celebrate our love for one another and coming together of families. And even more importantly, Neha made the day run smoothly, an amazing accomplishment with so many vendors, guests, and ceremonies (Hindu and Unitarian) to deal with. We were able to enjoy the day thanks to all their hard work, creativity, and management skills.

Ashlee, one of Blue Lotus' team members, was my bridal day-of support. She kept me and the bridesmaids calm, happy, and caffeinated (not to mention my lips glossed). And, when I said I wished I had a glass of wine before the bar opened, she went out of her way to get a bottle for the bridal party.
